As of apr-may '25. Staff is VERY friendly and accommodating. Facility was out of water for over 48hrs. Pool, fitness center, elevator AND ice machine are ALL out of order "until further notice". Only one washing machine and two dryers available for ENTIRE hotel. Rooms are nice but contact front desk before booking to ensure that amenities are available. I believe the hotel is under improvements/ reconstruction. But you will not know until AFTER you check in and get settled in. I STRESS, staff is very friendly but they are stuck apologizing for the corporate decisions that disregard the paid needs and expectations of the customer. It was a good hotel to stay a night- the room was clean, the shower was warm and the bed was comfortable. The room was nice. But overall: The elevator was broken, as was the juice machine at breakfast. The coffee at breakfast was bland. The towels were clean- but worn and thin. When we checked in (well after 6pm) and got to our room, housekeeping was still there and rushed to complete. Breakfast (compared to other Marriott hotels) was just ok. There are many other choices nearby, I would not stay here again. The hotel is showing its age. The staff was very friendly. The first room we checked into smelled like cigarettes. After a call to the front desk, we promptly got a new room. That one did not smell great, but we kept it. The hand soap in the bathroom has the worst smell to it, very cheap. The elevator was out of service during our stay, so call first if you need it. The breakfast was mediocre. The floor in the pool area did not seem clean and the pool was over-chlorinated. Very bad experience for me. I gave it two stars because the service from the front desk was really good and they were very accommodating and tried their best to assist me, so I have zero complaints about the service provided from the staff. The rooms are just very old and their wasn't much detail applied to amenities and cleaning. When I got to the room, there wasn't any complimentary amenities, like soap for me to wash my hands or lotion or any of those items that I'm used to when staying at Residence Inn. The iron was very old, but it worked so I was fine with that but there was no ironing board in the room. The towels seemed to be old and they were extremely thin. It was soaked before I was halfway dried off after taking a shower. When I got in the shower I noticed strands of hair all over the shower walls which made it clear that not much detail was put into cleaning the shower and there's no telling what else wasn't fully cleaned. There was rust around the tub also. So after seeing the hair strands I requested a new room, which was provided with no issue. When I walked into the new room I went straight to the bathroom to look at it and the tub was rusted more than the last room I was in. They also have these clear shower curtain liners in the showers that are very dirty and need to be changed out. I was very disappointed in my stay. As I am here for a few weeks, I checked out early to change hotels because it was all unacceptable for me. read more

Check in was a breeze, got it with no problem. Beds are comfy, Tv works, floors are dirty but they all are in hotels. The only problem was breakfast. They didn't have much options like other hotels I have been to. Only bread/bagels, eggs and sausage patties (Very little) and juice machine. We just went to iHop to eat. I arrived here with my company members while on tour with The Kennedy Center. The day before we arrived, we checked the reviews and was a bit concerned but were hoping for the best. My stage manager saw that people were saying the elevator didn't work so she called ahead and it was confirmed that the elevator was indeed still broken. That was an inconvenience but a minor one so we checked in. We arrived and they had a case of bottled water for us which I thought was nice. We were accommodated by being placed on the 1st and 2nd floors only with the gentleman at the front desk having to help lug our heavy luggage up the stairs (I felt bad that they even had to do that). I was placed on the first floor. Walking in the hallway on the first floor there was a heavy smell similar to what you would smell from exterminator's spray but I just ignored that. Upon arriving at my room, I immediately went to check for hot water in the shower since I saw a number of reviews that mentioned not having hot water. When I walked into the bathroom there was a plastic shower liner that was crumbly, torn, and molded/mildewed. I was willing to just ask for a new curtain but I ran the shower for 10min and the water never got above barely luke warm. I went to the front desk and explained to the gentleman and the manager, Melanie Myers and kindly asked for another room with a clean shower curtain and hot water. They said they would have to put me on the 3rd floor and I said that was ok as long as I had hot water and a new liner. They gave me keys to check the room before I moved my things. I went to that room and the shower curtain was also mildewed but the hot water worked so I was going to just take it. I took a further look around the room and saw that the couch had a burn mark. The room did not smell like smoke but in front of the couch I stepped on what I thought was lint only to find out it was a small pile of ash so the carpet had obviously not been cleaned (not to mention the plethora of stains on the old carpet). I was willing to just deal with it because I didn't want to risk not having hot water. I returned to the desk to let them know about the burn in the couch and the ash just to say that I didn't want to be held responsible but I wasn't making a big deal. I just again asked for a new shower liner. They apologized and again offered me a new room so reluctantly I went up with the gentleman to check the room next door. This room smelled strongly of movie popcorn butter somehow. Whatever the scent was, it was making me nauseous. The shower curtain was actually clean and the hot water worked but I couldn't take the smell so I asked to keep the 2nd room and just have the shower liner replaced because at least there was no smell. I just wanted them to be aware that I didn't damage the couch.The gentleman went to look for a clean shower liner but couldn't find one so he took the one from next door and put that up. I tried to settle in but kept noticing things wrong as the evening went on. The rooms were not very clean at all. My other company members were reporting issues of finding dirty dishes piled in the dishwasher that was broken and I had dirty dishes in my cabinets. I went to cook and like some of my other cast mates, discovered there were only pots with no saute/frying pans and the pots we had were dirty with burned residue inside. I asked for a pan which the gentleman did bring but my front burner didn't work. I called down to the desk to make them aware and he said that he would send maintenance the next day. I said ok. I also noticed that there was no dish sponge provided and the dish soap was already half empty. Usually new items are provided when the rooms are reset but that clearly didn't happen here. I did not however call down to report that or ask for anything additional as it was late and I was tired. What was EXTREMELY worrisome to me however is the behavior of the manager Malanie Myers. At about 9:30pm, I was having a phone conversation in my room with our company manager to explain issues with this hotel and a prior Marriott brand hotel that we had to switch from. I was letting her know that they needed to check the reviews for our upcoming hotels to avoid any further places that obviously had issues. This was a private conversation in my room on the 3rd floor. Melanie Myers called my stage manager's room to say that she had overheard my conversation and if I couldn't be happy with everything they were doing to accommodate me then my company would need to find me somewhere else to stay. I was not making a complaint to the front desk or a call to them. I was having a private conversation IN MY ROOM. Why would she be on the 3rd floor listening to a conversation I am having privately?! That is completely unprofessional not to mention made me feel extremely unsafe. She was obviously only pretending to be accommodating. The assistant manager was very odd unhelpful dressed like she was going too a rock concert strapped up heals it was unbelievable guys I'll never return actually heard a lot of down talking too employees over there walkie-talkie devices I was shocked . I was in Paducah just for the weekend with my boyfriend, and we stayed here. It was a completely lovely experience from start to end! When we checked in, we were upgraded right away to a two bedroom suite. This was nice, but really it was just the two of us so whatever. It had two bathrooms too which WAS nice. The room seemed very clean, and there was a nice handwritten note for us to enjoy our stay along with some mini candy bars. Nice touch. They have a free breakfast with some decent options. The staff was all very friendly. I used the gym one day; it's small but has the basics. There is also a pool but I forgot a swimsuit :( The hotel is also very centrally located near several other hotels, a plethora of restaurants, a mall, and a Walmart. I would definitely recommend staying here if in the area! read more

Exactly what you want in a hotel stay. We stayed in a studio and it was very roomy. Staff was extremely friendly - kudos to the night shift front desk clerk. We arrived late last night, he had our check in prepared, told us where to park and gave us the number for a pizza place that delivers late. Breakfast was better than standard hotel fare. Eggs were light and fluffy, waffle maker, sausage. The staff at breakfast were very friendly and made sure the dining area was kept clean for the turnover in guests. Great job Marriott! read more

Never had a problem with any Marriott hotels but this one was a joke. I travel full time so I stay for 3-6 months at a time. Very hard to get the room cleaned well, all the front desk dose is set in the breakfast area and talk. Pool and hot tub smelled horrible (I would not get in). The gym was not cleaned ether. Would not be to bad if you just stay a day or too but I would not stay long term. read more

I have stayed at a wide variety of Marriott properties across America and this one ranks pretty high on my list! It was a last minute decision to stay here but I needed to make sure I had a refrigerator and with Fairfield Inn within eyesight, I knew the Residence Inn would have a full fridge without a doubt. The staff was very friendly and inviting. After 8 hours on the road, she was very welcoming. I was quickly given my room keys and started to settle in. The room was AMAZING! It was very clean, it looked nice, and overall it was comforting. I had spent the week prior on the road and this was the nicest hotel we had been in. We left early Sunday morning before breakfast started. We hit the road at 7AM and breakfast didn't start until 730AM. Not a big deal but a little bit of a disappointment. Stayed here from 11/29- 12/7. The staff is very nice from the manager to the housekeeping staff. The breakfast is solid most days except for the cut fruit (the fruit was limited and appeared to have been previously frozen)- oatmeal, scrambled eggs, salsa, cereal, bread/bagels, jelly including sugar free, breakfast meat, yogurt, cheese, and strong coffee. The nighttime reception is nice and ranges from meats to sweets depending on the night (Mon-Wed). Thursday-Sun you are on your own to explore the surrounding restaurants. We requested the 3rd (highest) floor and they complied but they gave us an accessible room which bothered me initially b/c I'd hate for someone needing it to not have access. We called the front desk and they apologized but didn't seem to have an issue w/ us having it and I figured it would be okay. The bed was creaky and the blanket was not enough for these cooler nights so the heat was set at a higher setting. The shower was my favorite part b/c the water heated up quickly and due to it being an accessible room, you get more space which was nice. The water was off one day from 11-4 while they fixed a pipe and the tv was in and out another day- unsure why. The gym (which I visited every morning) was adequate and served it's purpose. They have 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical, one bike, free weights, a scale, a tv that it in an odd location if you don't want to use the one on the treadmill. They are pet friendly which is why we stayed as our little guy needed to be as comfortable as we were and he was. The laundry room has 2 washers, 2 dryers- $1.00 for each- 30 minutes for wash, 45 minutes for dry- noted is your clothes may not be completely dry in that time. The lock didn't work correctly on our door. I called the front desk and the manager came up and showed me that with the door open, you have to insert the key, pull it out- look for green light and wait until you hear a sound- takes a few moments, then close the door w/o your hand on the handle.... seems like a bit of a racket to me- you? It might be something they should take care of as I realized the door wasn't properly locking when I was taking my dog out to do his business- I'd return to the room and be able to open the door no key, no problem.....Luckily I figured this out the first day.... read more

One of the better Residence Inns we've stayed at. Beautiful lobby and big breakfast area. The rooms were big too. We got a one-bedroom suite so we'd have a little more privacy from the kids (in a crib and on the couch in the living room). We loved that there was a big separate bathroom area and sink area outside of the bedroom. So we could close our bedroom door and our daughter could go through to the bathroom without waking us, and we could close the door to the sink area so we could brush our teeth after the kids were in bed without worrying about the light waking them. We were on the first floor and the far end of the hall by the exterior door so it was loud with people and dogs running around and barking overhead or coming in and out from outside. I'd take away a star for that but it's really a nicer than average Residence Inn so I'm leaves f it at 5. We'd definitely go back but would request a higher floor and being further from the door. read more

Very nice hotel. Very clean. Nice decor and ambiance. Very up to date. The room we stayed in had a full kitchen with full size fridge, stove top, and dish washer. Granite counter tops too! Kitchen comes fully stocked with Extra pots and pans to cook with, plates, glass cups, silver ware, cooking utensils!Just over all very pleased and will always stay in this hotel as a first choice option when ever we are in town! read more

I have stayed here NUMEROUS times (8? 9? 10?) and it is my go-to place to stop when I travel from Wisconsin to Florida (and back again) AND have my dog in-tow. What makes THIS Residence Inn a favorite is that it is modern (big plus), it is located a mile away from the mall, Lowe's, SuperWalmart, TJMaxx, PetSmart and dozens of restaurants, and they have a great welcome package for your furry friend. It is clean, the rooms are nice and the breakfast in the morning is great! (there are Southern breakfast options in addition to your standard breakfast fare). It is pricier than other places in the area (but not pricey by Residence Inn standards...or by my standards), however I refuse to sacrifice quality so I will continue staying here as long as I travel with my dog. read more

We decided to take a single night, to destress while buying a car, and the hotel looks very nice from the description, and for the price, should have been. I understand Covid precautions are being considered, but for the things lacking, the price should have refelcted this. No coffee maker in room, toilet made what sounded like an alarm, after flushing and it stopped working. We also heard other toilets making the same noise overnight. The bed was a lowend coil spring mattress that was lumpy, and the feather pillows were flat, and very uncomfortable. There was drips of something running down the door to the bathroom, something sticky was on the counters, and at 5 this morning there was some industrial noises. AND the most uncomfortable toilet seat Ive ever sat on. No pool, no hot tub, no breakfast. No discount that covered any of that. It was not worth the money, and we fought the urge to leave at 2:30 in the morning, until we gave up trying to sleep, or havong to take the back off the toilet to flush. We left at 7. Very poor reflection of what we have come to know Marriot offers. read more

I'm a very picky consumer who stays in hotels about 300 nights a year but I must tell you this hotel has a strong service message and a well-trained staff. This hotel is a great value with good rates. They have good food are at the free dinner reception at night. The breakfast in the morning as well as very clean rooms is above par. The biggest asset is simply the service. It's outstanding at this hotel. They are located around several other brands but I think you could make it a huge mistake if you didn't take advantage of a well-trained service-oriented staff. They're happy hours are wonderful and the food is pretty darn good I haven't had to go to dinner all week so it's a savings if your business traveler. I've had several circumstances. They handled each of those circumstances extremely well with grace. I will definitely stay here when I return and you have a very loyal customer simply because we just don't have a building with a clean room we have a building with excellent friendly people who go out of their way to check on you to make sure you're happy and do whatever it takes to make you happy. I hate to say it but you can't put a price on that. I hope this review doesn't travel too far because I want to make sure I can still get a room here. However, this recent stay (09/14/2013) has completely changed my mind and brought me into the fold. Every single nuance of this stay was better than my high expectations!
