A Very Nice Place to Stay When Visiting St. Louis We stayed here for five nights while visiting St. Louis and wanted a convenient place to stay outside the downtown area. This hotel turned out to be an excellent choice. Located west of the city just off I-64, it provided easy access to St. Louis while being close to many restaurants, grocery stores, and gas stations. The hotel had plenty of parking, and check-in was quick and efficient. Throughout our stay, the staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Our suite was roomy and comfortable, featuring a separate bedroom, living room, kitchenette, and bathroom. Having the extra living space and kitchen made the stay much more enjoyable than a standard hotel room. The complimentary breakfast included eggs, bacon or sausage, waffles, cereal, fruit, tea, coffee, and juices, providing a good variety each morning. The hotel also has guest laundry facilities (for a small fee), which were convenient for a longer stay like ours. The only downside was that the property is beginning to show its age. We noticed cracked floor tiles, worn carpeting in some areas, and the pool was drained for most of our visit. None of these issues affected our comfort, but the hotel would benefit from some updating. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our five-night stay and would gladly stay here again. If you're looking for a comfortable, reasonably priced hotel outside the busy downtown area with easy access to St. Louis, this is an excellent choice. read more

Good size rooms, but they need to be freshened up. There were two luggage carts on the hotel. One is completely in shambles. Needs to be trashed. It's broken in multiple places. Please get rid of it. That's embarrassing. The room needs paint. There are stains on pictures. One of the windows in the bedroom, the latch is broken. Couldn't open the window. The light in the bathroom flickered. There was a black curly hair in the soap dish when we checked in. The pillows in the bedroom aren't great. Too soft. The water pressure WAS amazing. The fireplace was nice. The huge kitchen was good. Ok so I am Giving this establishment 2 stars because of their staff. Their staff is the saving grace of this hotel. As a longtime Marriott Member- I am extremely disappointed in how they have handled this location - or lack there of handling. There are literally 4 amazing employees trying to run this hotel. Thank goodness for them and their patience . The hotel has so much potential but the AC units were out, broken toilets etc. The pool was quite nice I must say and the location is great if you want to be close to the city and need wineries as well. I am really hoping Marriott steps up and helps this hotel out as it could be a great local establishment for the area. read more

The breakfast was soooooo good. They have a make your own waffles with several types of syrups and toppings. They also had fresh pineapple and melon. The scrambled eggs were accompanied with toppings as well:salsa, sour cream, jalapeños, and shredded cheese. They had many other things to eat and it all tasted amazing. Our room was nice too with plenty of space and clean. We completely planned to spend our evening swimming, however when we went to check in we were told that the lighting was broken and instead of closing the pool at 11 they would be closing at dark which was in about 45. So we were disappointed that we didn't know ahead of time that their wasn't a pool, because we would have liked to change our hotel because part of the treat of staying in the hotel was being able to swim. read more

Better customer service and friendlier front desk staff. Checked in on a Sunday the male working the evening shift was bothered by the fact he had to get up and check us in. Rooms are outdated after being in the room some time you notice heavy smell of dog urine. It is animal friendly which is fine nothing I'm against but use the deposit these people pay to have their pets stay as it's intended for and that's to deep clean the rooms. Missed the first freshen up with maid service On Tuesday so I myself freshened up the room. Thursday service arrived as I was changing to leave I told them I was leaving even stopped by the front desk to ask them to let them know we wanted the room clean. Come back 2hrs later to a room still not clean. Called again the lady at front desk blew me off talked over me said she did tell them I wanted a full cleaning. so I walked the hall on that floor and found all the rooms I walked past smelling fresh and clean. The girl had just finished cleaning on that floor. I stopped in the stairwell to call and let my bf know I was going back to the desk to let them know service was complete on that floor and was gona ask for the cleaning stuff myself to clean it. I Come back down to front desk as the maid had excited the elevator as I come around corner of hallway as she approached the front desk the front desk attendant started talking about me rudely as she was unaware of me standing there. I never complain I'm very respectful it takes a lot for me to speak up on something. We stay at a lot of places while out of town working and this has by far been the worst service. I wouldnt recommend their breakfast. I would regoing to Cracker Barrel for breakfast bc what they offer just isn't that good at all. I'm surprised by the positive reviews bc more than just the rooms smell of urine. I do not recommend this place. Oh and as for that full cleaning come back to a room where nothing was really done doesn't even smell of cleaners. Sheets are the same ones that was on here Sunday when we arrived. read more

I would give this 0 stars if I could. This was not clean at all. I am shocked especially when Covid is around- there is no way these units were cleaned. We checked into a 1 bedroom and it was dirty and then checked into a 2 bedroom and that was way worse. NEWLY RENOVATED! clean, upscale hotel with 4 types of rooms 1. 1 bedroom Suite (efficiency) 2. 1 bedroom w/ wall separator and fireplace 3. 2 bedroom suite w/full kitchen 4. 2 bedroom suite w/fireplace and full kitchen Negatives (yet positive):During my visit there was a family reunion happening and I only saw the check-in staff person at night. The pool area was untidy with soaking wet towels every where. The dining room area was filled to capacity with beer bottles on the floor and the family took over the lobby area and were outdoors having an excellent time! (See positive because this is perfect for a family reunion stay and close to the wineries, etc). See my pics of how nice this place is. They just need more staff!! I was impressed with the clean lobby restroom and how homey the place felt. The amenities seem plentiful and the price of a suite on Memorial Day weekend was $189 (w/o points). I highly recommend this place. Comfy bed, spacious room. I can only imagine how a 1 bedroom suite w fireplace is. The hot tub temp was perfect. The pool was chilly and not heated. It is handicapped acessible. Well, this review was a long time coming. In mid November, my parents' lost our family home in a fire. It certainly was the worst day we can all remember (relatively speaking), and the first thing we had to do was find everyone a hotel... preferably somewhere they could stay for a while. Our insurance company recommended the Residence Inn, and I'm so very glad they did. The staff knew what our situation was from the very beginning, and I can't express how grateful I am that they treated my parents with so much kindness. They made it clear from the very beginning that whatever we needed, they had. Most importantly, that included a two bed, two bath hotel room, with a nice kitchen and living room. It's never ideal to be in a hotel for 6 weeks, but I couldn't have asked for a better place for my parents and sister to stay. It wasn't just the front of the house staff that was wonderful, either. Even the ladies that came to clean every day never were anything but kind (and even funny.) I'm convinced it was everyone's mission at the Residence Inn to make our family smile as much as possible. I think it was also enjoyable (at least for my dad) to have breakfast and dinner served daily... just one less thing to have to think about. The woman who puts the meals together was so nice, and when she found out my mom was a vegetarian, she made something special for her every day. Who does that? There's coffee 24/7, and a little market where you can buy water, snacks, etc. Bonus, this hotel has a really nice indoor pool. My sister & I bought little bottles of cheap wine from the "market" up front, and had ourselves quite a time. It's the little things I guess! There's also a great laundry center and workout room. It's important to note that this place is pet friendly. The ladies at the front desk loved giving my little Fancy treats every time she walked by. If you have to be stuck at a hotel, this is certainly the one to be stuck at. Can't express my gratitude enough! read more

No garbage cans in room rooms don't get cleaned two almost empty toilet paper rolls no spares I've been here for work over two months with the same person checking me every two weeks then asking if I've stayed before. directly after retrieving the suitcase i had left behind the desk two days previously... the place just continues to disappoint. My company is getting ripped off. the only employee with a clue is the night man Tim. He is on the ball and anticipates guest requirements. My fiancée and I relocated to St. Louis and have been staying here as we find a place to live. It's been the most horrible 2 months! Do not stay here! The staff stole lotions and clothes and when I brought it to the managers attention he said he would make a lost and found report! There are bugs in the bathroom and we keep getting bite marks on us every time we sat on the couch so we were moved to another room. The cleaning ladies do not change the sheets so I just started washing them myself. They do not clean good at all and have entered the room when we had a do not disturb/no service sign on the door! They enter our room without our consent then leaves a weird unprofessional note for My fiancée. That was the last straw for me. We are moving to another hotel ASAP. We had booked this room a few weeks out using points. A few days prior, we called to cancel one day and they said it would be no problem. She confirmed what days we would be checking in and out. We drove 3 hours to this place and at check in the lady informed us the entire thing was cancelled, that because we booked through points, if we cancelled any days, the entire booking would be cancelled. I told her it was not my fault and it should get fixed. She told us there wasn't nothing she could do. She figured out it was a "new girl" who booked it (and?) but that there were rooms available and we had to book the room how we originally did and not through her. When we went to re-book the room, it showed she had cancelled the wrong dates, but we were still able to check in. Weird. We tell the receptionist and she said what we were seeing hadn't been updated yet, and our stay was still cancelled. Long story short, we were able to re-book it. Usually with any issues on their end, most hotels would go out of their way to help us and fix the problem they made, but apparently not at this location. We've stayed at another Residence Inn- suite room too- so we assumed the same expectations. After checking in our room (4th floor), we noticed the room wasn't as clean. 1. When the door was closed, light from the hall way was coming through and you could see into the hall way. 2. The sports channel (and a few others) were not working. Very staticky. 3. Kitchen area was noticeably dirty. We were out and about for the majority of the time so we didn't bother to ask for another room. The bed was comfy and the bathroom area was clean from what I saw. Overall, not pleased with THIS location. Will not be back. Check out is at noon, check in was 3pm. Breakfast 7-10am. Hot tub was temporarily out. read more

This residence inn offers a light dinner on Mondays thru Wednesdays which the hotel calls "The Mixer." Not bad, includes wine and beer. The standard breakfast offered everyday. USA Today in the lobby and not delivered to room. No WSJ paper. Gym has two treadmill, dumbbells, stability ball and a water machine. I visited during late October and early November and noticed ladybug Luke insects on the ceiling. It may seasonal and/or in certain wing/section of the hotel because my colleague noticed it too. By far the worst Residence inn we've ever stayed in. My fiancé travels for work and stays at residence inn properties all over United States almost 365 days a year. Their staff is not personable, only a handful are. Don't even bother to get housekeeping to clean your room, just a waste of time. Since we got here, the carpet hasn't been vacuumed. At least it looks like it hasn't. We're actually tempted to just ask for a vacuum to do it ourselves. Photos will be uploaded. They don't dust nor know how to do the bed. Just not hotel quality staff. The building itself looks ok and clean. But one of the reason why we picked this place is because it has a jacuzzi. The other 2 residence inn we looked at didn't have any, though they were closer to work. The jacuzzi has been out of order for more than 3weeks now! So if you like this amenity, don't come here. Also, the furnitures are old and grungy. Carpets need replacement cox of stains. This residence inn doesn't measure up to any other Marriott products. It feels more like a motel. We love Marriott and will continue to stay with them, just not in this particular one. read more

While checking in the front desk representative was really nice! Her name was Amanda. Unfortunately the rooms were NOT cleaned. I changed rooms twice and took pictures of the filth I encountered to include pubic hairs on the bed, pubic hair in the shower, hair on the walls, toothpaste on the walls, hair in the freezer, bed linens dirty. You can tell the cleaning staff was either understaffed or just plain lazy with cleaning. Amanda's customer service was above average. She helped by switching the room for me and applying $10,000 Marriot reward points, but when I came into the other room it was even worse! Boogers on the shower walls, pubic hair in the shower, etc. I could not sleep at this hotel. You can totally see that they are not cleaning the hotel neither following the COVID sanitary practices they advertise. The only good that came from this is Amanda's stellar customer service and the fact that I was able to check out without penalty and move to another hotel. This experience was disappointing to say the least. I will never stay at Residence Inn or Marriott again! read more

My 1 star rating here comes with some disclaimers/addendums/caveats. Based purely on Yelp's rating an "Eek! Methings not" would adequately describe our stay there on many levels. That being said, the staff I dealt with there were pleasant enough and after speaking with a manager (Sales) there at the end of my stay they did refund me the points I used to book this stay. So, in short Marriott did take care of me in the end, but the hassle that was caused and the disgusting conditions we found in this hotel have to earn a low rating despite the staff's effort to resolve. Additionally, we stayed here on January 1st (2018), the day after New Year's Eve. From what I gathered from the front desk they were extremely busy on New Years (as I expect most hotels are) and it is possible they simply didn't have the staff (or they ones they had were too hungover) to do a proper job. Almost all of my complaints have to do with the cleanliness of the hotel as will be described below. My wife, two kids (3 and 6), and I arrived probably around 7-pm on the first. We were driving through from Chicago to Oklahoma and usually stop in the St. Louis area. We stopped at the nearby Wendy's (not much else open/around the area) and checked into the hotel with our take-out. After we set the kids up at the kitchen table in the room my wife and I began to notice cleaning discrepancies throughout the room. In no particular order we found: 1) Urine/fecal stains on toilet 2) Hairs on bedding 3) Hairs (pet?) on bundled sofa bedding 4) Insects #1 was enough for me while #2/3 was enough to gross my wife out so much that I decided to go request another room. Without going into every specific, the gist is that we had to look at 3 more rooms before we found one that didn't have obvious cleaning issues most notably fecal/urine stains (some worse than the first room) and hair on various things. I accepted the 3rd room (4th total) only because I didn't see any glaring things in the bathroom and on the bedding. I did notice this room was a bit "worn down" as the appliances were much shabbier (dented fridge, beat up stove, etc.) than the other ones - but at this point it was ~9 pm and the kids needed to sleep. Once we moved into this room I notices some more grossness that just turned me off even more. So, that is 4 rooms that really had sanitary issues. We were told by the front desk that the last room was cleaned by "different staff" so that if it was an issue with one cleaning person it shouldn't be affected. I also got the feeling that last room wasn't usually rented due to it being "shabby" and therefore probably was cleaned before the New Years rush...but it really wan't any better. I've stayed in many hotels, motels, etc. I'm a Marriott elite member and have stayed at plenty of their properties. While the hotel looked kept up and modern with nice spacious suites the gloss is only skin deep. If you look at all carefully you will find all manner of disgusting-ness that you usually cringe at on those exposé TV shows. Been staying at the RI for a few weeks now.....1.) Not a full service hotel so review written with that in mind 2.) Rooms are spacious, newly remodeled and generally well maintained 3.) Breakfast is generally not as good when compared to full service hotels, but...free. They do have a waffle maker and a full selection of cereals. 4.) Always full so book ahead. Generally, a pleasant experience......would stay here as long as convenient to work or whereever you're going. The hotel is removed from the freeway so quieter than Holiday Inn or Stabridge, which is a plus...........They also have a free shuttle within 5 miles and an arrangement with a Gold's gym down the road where you can work out for free, which is very convenient. read more

We recently had a wedding at Montelle Winery and needed a place for our guests to stay...along with us after the big night. In comes the Residence Inn. There is a lot to rate here, so I am going to use a format similar to one I saw from a previous Yelper. Location was 5 Stars. With a Cracker Barrel and a Quik Trip right next door and a major highway within sight it's a pretty good location. Building was 4 Stars. The building was crisp and well designed. It was a pretty nice lobby with coffee and tea on tap. Staff was 5 Stars. They were just phenomenal. Room was 4 Stars. I loved the room, but the TV was definitely dated. I like being able to plug in my HDMI cable and watch some movies from my tablet, that was not possible with their old tube style TV. Amenities was 4 Stars. I didn't try to pool, but it looked great. I saw the gym and it looked very nice, but alas, my wedding night I had a different form of exercise planned. Food/Breakfast was 5 Stars for sure!!! I have NEVER had a breakfast at a hotel that was this good. Eggs, turkey ham, potato wedges, biscuits and sausage gravy, fresh made Belgian waffles, cereal, pastries, milk, juice and MORE MORE MORE!!! I ate three plates of greatness before I had to stop. This was a very pleasant experience and I will be looking forward to staying in a Residence Inn again. read more

I really liked this Marriott! I think it's pretty new... Everything was SUPER clean! The staff was very friendly. The room we stayed in was VERY spacious (king bed, large sitting area, full kitchen [even a dishwasher and stove]). The bathroom was a little small, but not too small to where it's annoying. I wish the shower had a better water pressure, it wasn't terrible but not great either. The continental breakfast is WONDERFUL (4 cereals, oatmeal, biscuits, gravy, sausage, eggs, yogurt, Belgium waffles, orange and cranberry juice, milk, toast, bagels, and a huge condiment selection. They have a 24 hour mini store right by the front desk and it actually had a larger selection then most places I've stayed. There is a Cracker Barrel, Quik Trip, Walgreen's, McDonald's and a Sushi Restaurant all within walking distance. The only downside is that the hotel is about 7 miles off of i70. If you'd like to be close to i64 this is PERFECT! read more

not too shabby for a Marriott owned spot. my company flew me out for work and they put me up in this place for an entire week. staff members are all pretty friendly and i like the little convenient corner with munchies that's opened 24hrs. my room was huge!! had a kitchen, work station, living room, king sized bed, sep sink area from the bathroom. btw, i loved the showerhead. it was amazing!! the bed was ehhh... not super comfy. the room was really clean and someone came to clean and change out the towels everyday during my stay. my only complaint... the tv was an old flat screen tube tv. i think that's about the only thing they need to update in the rooms. they have a shuttle that took us from the inn to work and back everyday. after work, they would even take us across the way for dinner and came back to get us at 9pm. they provided breakfast every morning and had plenty of fresh coffee/juices. during mon-wed, they usually have happy hour from 5:30-7:30pm... free beer! while i was there, they had bbq night, nacho night, and i forgot. there's also a computer station for you to check into your flight and print out your boarding passes. i took away 1 star because even though they offered free wi-fi, gahhhhh was it SLOOOOOOOW! read more

Decent option for a hotel in the O'Fallon area. Friendly staff, shuttle options, offers a free happy hour from 6:00-7:30 with beer, wine and some sort of tapas that seems to change daily. Also offer free breakfast which I did not try but it looked good. Their coffee is above average for this level of hotel. Only real knock is it was as clean as it could have been but wasn't terrible. read more

A nice hotel with friendly staff members. Got a suite with kitchen, work station, living room, king sized bed. They need to update the old fashioned TV in the room though. Like other Residence Inn, the hotel provides breakfast every morning and had plenty of fresh coffee/juices. Also have happy hour Manager Specials from 5:30-7:30pm from Monday to Wednesday. Plenty of food options near the hotel. Make sure to try out the Thai place 0.2 miles away. read more

We stayed here for a weekend trip to St. Lou. It was a solid 4 stars, clean room, good breakfast, friendly staff. Hot tub and pool were nice. Only complaint-every time the main exterior door to the building opened & shut, our room's door (#103) would loudly jiggle like someone was trying to get in. It was slightly annoying because it woke me up several times both nights, but other than that, nice place. read more

I stayed at this hotel as a member of a bridal party. The rooms were great! Spacious with comfortable beds and very clean. My issue was with the front desk staff. Sapphire in particular was not accommodating or pleasant to work with. I would stay here again but only because of the rooms. Worst is their staff...they are more than just RUDE !!...And by staff I mean entire Staff...from Manager level till down....drivers(Larry is good though), Receptionists who are always confused on what they should say...and Believe me..if even if they say something ..dont believe it till their Manager does not confirm it..! Else Manager says " Well, I didn't say that..so you should NOT have believed my staff till I don't confirm" Can you believe this ??? X-( They need lessons in what a hotel is all about....and there is a way to treat your customers. I came to stay here for long term...but it became such a nightmare that had to count 30 days to leave this place quickly. If I ever requested for something....I had to hear things like I am not supposed to even ask for any minor things/services.I wonder why they could simply not say "No" rather than cursing me for 20 mins on how dare I ask certain things. I am a platinum Marriott member for more than 2 years...but this Marriott was a shocker.I would suggest stay at nearby Staybridge Suites instead. HATE this place...!!! Very disappointing this time. We stayed here in September 2017 and has a good stay. This time the room was fine but the service was not on par with all the other Residence Inns we have stayed at around the country. The biggest problem was the breakfast. The hotel was full for the weekend but they should have been prepared. They had large serving spoons out instead of regular spoons because they ran out. They have paper coffee cups sitting next to the cereal because they ran out of bowls. They ran out of many things over a half hour before breakfast was to end. Then when we checked out the front desk staff asked me how our stay was. I explained to them my concerns and the front desk person acted offended that I would even mention those things. All she did was make excuses and blame the guests. I told her they should be prepared to be busy. They knew they were full for the weekend. Have paper bowls and plastic spoons on hand. Buy extra supplies. Instead of making excuses, be prepared. read more

Our room wasn't ready, well after check in, hot tub not working, sticky countertops, and they did not honor their holiday hours for the breakfast (posted on website and how we had planned it). Almost every dish was dirty in the kitchen and toothpaste on the mirror. The front desk was unable to address or resolve these issues while we were here. We recently had a death in the family and had to travel to Missouri within 48 hours. This hotel is about a block away from our family so it's where our family usually stays when we are in town. I however had not been to this particular location and was pleasantly surprised at how accommodating the hotel was. We had to book multiple rooms using our Marriott points as well as cash. They volunteered the AAA rate to make it less expensive and made sure we had anything we needed. The family also hosted a small dinner in their conference room and they couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms were great! So clean and well laid out and it was wonderful to have a full kitchen as well. The complimentary breakfast was great as was the two hour nightly cocktail hour which was on the house too. I highly recommend this place and it's helpful to also be located next to the major highways as well. read more
