The owners, anticipating this, left ear plugs and a noise machine. The internet got a little wonky a few times, but being here was a good reason to get off the grid entirely so it was not an issue. They have a lending building with all sorts of books and left over items from others' stays. Overall, this was a venue which exceeded our expectations. For stays longer than a week I'd leave a couple more towels as they take a little longer to dry overnight, but otherwise, SUPER AWESOME stay. A full five stars!!

Upon learning of the incident, the owner called and issued a sincere apology for the experience (I'd explained how I'd try to call back and resolve the issue directly over the following few days, but hadn't heard back - at no fault to the owner, Heidi - as she hadn't been aware of my attempt to contact). Though I didn't end up going through with my appointment that day and had booked with someone else at another spa, from what the other reviews have said, this seems like an otherwise lovely establishment with professional and courteous staff who - I was assured - DO practice recommended safety guidelines, including masking. I was not compensated in any way to edit this - I just didn't believe that my original review should reflect on the owner or the business as a whole and think it's important to differentiate between a singular, one-off experience and their overall business practices. Hopefully the most important message going forward is that people DO care a tremendous deal about safe practices such as masking - because it, in the end, is going to be the only thing that allows us to return to some semblance of normalcy.
