I called this company on Thursday, January 22, 2026, looking to set up an appointment. They said someone would come by Friday, January 23, 2026. At 2:57 p.m. on January 23, 2026, I sent a text: "Hello. I was just wondering if we are still on today's schedule? I realize the weather is awful and perhaps all appointments today were cancelled. Thanks." I received this text back at 2:59: "Good afternoon... Yes, your appointment is still on. Thank you. Omar Resolve Service Desk." Never heard from them again as of Saturday morning at 9:39 a.m. I would have understood if appointments were cancelled because of the weather. It was brutal out yesterday. Really frustrated with this company. As several other reviewers have noted, there is zero communication or follow through with these guys. I called Mike and he was busy so he said he'd call me back...never heard. Finally called him again. He took another call while we were chatting, then said he'd show up at 3. Never showed. I called at 6 and he said he'd come by at 7. Never showed. No follow up call, no email, nothing. Just vanished. I could probably call again but what's the point? I'll get another promise to show up and never hear anything back. If you're not able to make a meeting a phone call rescheduling is the BARE minimum for someone you are hoping to do business with! If you can't even manage that I can't imagine what your actual service is like and certainly don't trust you to complete the work. I highly discourage you from using these guys. Waste of time and you'll just be frustrated in the end no closer to actually getting your pest problem solved. read more

I tried to use this service for mice in a crawlspace because we would intermittently see evidence of mice and bait would be eaten irregularly. After scheduling an inspection, we were super excited to finally "resolve" the issue permanently. The day of the inspection came and they called and told us they couldn't make it due to other jobs. They rescheduled, which was great. The day of the inspection came for a second time. The window they were supposed to arrive in passed. I called, they replied and stated that they were short on staff but they could come out in a couple days. I agreed. The day of the inspection came for a third time. I got a call at the end of the window they gave and the technician called to confirm that I had cancelled. I told them I had not cancelled, but since the window had ended, I did not have further availability later that day. They suggested another day to come out, I agreed. The day of the inspection came for a fourth time. I reached out towards the end of the window they gave me and asked if there was an updated ETA. I received no response. *First off - I have not actually used their service.* This is just a review of the excellent assistance and recommendations I received over the phone. As other reviewers have said, this place sets a standard for honesty, integrity, and helpfulness. My story: I had a mouse issue in my 2 flat and had another company come out. They laid down some bait and showed me where they were coming in. I cemented the heck out of the tiny crack in the foundation, and after thorough examination of the perimeter, was positive that it was the only possible point of entry. So when my tenants said they saw another mouse several months later, I was sure that it had snuck in the back door, as they sometimes leave it open for short periods when they're in the yard. Assuming it was just a straggler, not a full on infestation, I figured if I could just nip it in the bud and get that 1 (or maybe 2), we'd be in the clear. Since all the other company did was just lay down some bait, why couldn't I do that myself? But I was wondering if there was a difference between the stuff the professionals use and the stuff I could buy. Enter Resolve: Mike was friendly and readily answered my questions, suggesting that no, I probably didn't need them to come out. He told me where I could purchase what I needed, and gave me tips on how to do it myself. How many companies would do that? Most would just push you to make an appointment, without answering any questions, as did the couple other places I called first. If I ever need an exterminator again, I've already found my go-to place. Addendum: A couple months pass and my tenants say that the bait hasn't been touched. But after seeing some other stray bug flit by, they now believe that was what they actually saw out of the corner of their eye before, not a mouse. I guess once you've seen a mouse in your house, any fast movement, in a shadow, in your peripheral vision, is assumed to be the worst. read more

I woke up this morning to find a wasp nest inside the widow of my dining room. Turns out that buzzing noise I heard all weekend was not my neighbor's construction. I gave these guys a ring to look into having it removed and spoke to Mike. He had me text a picture of the nest to him to try and identify the type of wasp, and responded "Rather than pay us $150 to come out and do a full removal,with this type of nest you'll be fine just grabbing some insecticide yourself." If you saw my other review on Terminix, you know why this company gets FIVE stars. After trying five different companies in Chicago, Resolve came to the rescue. Because there was no one in the office (which happened with a few of the other companies I called since it was a Saturday), the call was forwarded directly to a tech's cell phone (BRILLIANT). So helpful. The tech sounded very educated on all pest problems - even knew the name of every chemical that would be used to treat our home for fleas. He sounded like he had been working his butt of all day, and still insisted that he could come the SAME DAY I called at 7pm!! He did the job quickly, and even gave my boyfriend a few tips on treating/preventing this should we ever be unfortunate enough again. Terminix is the WORST. Don't even bother calling them first, they will not show up even though they say the appointment is scheduled. Also, I tried Orkin... if you enjoy being completely over-charged (I'm talking $250 for a ONE BEDROOM apt), by all means use them... but you can get the job done for much less. When a terrible situation like this happens, it is such a relief knowing the company you call will treat you with respect and get to your home ASAP... and that is exactly what Michael at Resolve does. I just wish I hadn't wasted my time (and took a day off for no reason) by trying Terminix first. read more

By writing this review, I feel like I'm wearing a t-shirt saying "ask me how my house was infested with vermin!" It was -- after awhile catching one mouse at a time with glue traps (yuck), my wife and I saw two mice running across our counter and into the vent on top of our stove. It was hard to sleep that night, and Resolve was called the next morning. They were out the same day, very professional, explained to my wife what they were doing, and cautious about the fact we had kids and a dog. (Dogs, by the way, are effing useless at catching mice. I miss our cat) A week later, we found a gnawed hole in a bag of flour. Apparently, it can take awhile to get all the mice, but we were still concerned. Again, we called, and they were out the same day putting out more bait, etc. They didn't charge us for the return visit, either. No one wants to have to call an exterminator, but should we become over run with vermin again, I would definitely call Resolve. read more

They charged me for the first two times & then after many emails & phone calls they finally came back out to fix the issue on the third attempt. Professional. Polite. Punctual. Our technician's name was Adam. He could not have been nicer and more informative! He explained how ants and other pests get into your home. Resolve gave me a window of 10-12; they showed up at 10:45. They offer a 90 day warranty, too! I'm very glad that our experience with Orkin was poor, otherwise, we would not have contacted Resolve. I had a bed bug problem and was getting bitten. My wife and daughter were complaining as well. These little devils are worst then mosquitos. My cousin referred me to this company. They sent a a guy name paul out the next day. He was very polite and even help me move my furniture and personal items without even asking. $400 later hooooray no more bed bugs. I will never take a good night sleep for granted again. paul said to contact them if they returned and they would come out free of charge. The price was cheaper then other companies I called, who wanted to put me on a monthly maintenance plan $$$$$$. No way I dont have that type of cash. Anyways Rest in peace bed bugs read more

Saw a rodent at 10:30 on a Saturday night. Called a few places, but they all went to voice mail. Michael picked up right away and came out by 8am on Sunday morning. (he also offered to come out that night, but I said it wasn't necessary) He did a very thorough inspection both inside and outside our house and determined that it was a mouse. After sealing the point of entry, bait was set in a completely unaccessible place. Excellent service and very informative, personable guy. He really knows his stuff! Mike came to our house to do an assessment of a rat situation. He charged $150 just to come out and tell us what needed to be done. He seemed to locate the problem instantly without much digging around and told us he would send over options via email. He did send over options and then completely dropped the ball and was unresponsive to emails and/or moving forward with a solution. He didn't follow up, didn't seem to remember who i was, and didn't do what he said he would do. Unresponsive and unreliable. I would look elsewhere if you want someone to work with. Well engineered solution to our rodent problem! We had rats that had burrowed under our a/c units. First, they put bait down to provide an immediate start to the solution. Second, Lloyd came out and surveyed the situation, and called me direct to walk through how they would fix the area. They showed up 2-days later and it was quite the engineering solution, as our units sit along a narrow gangway next to our deck. They lifted the units, dug out the burrows, leveled and filled in with lime stone, put down a wire mesh, and then placed the pavers in a solid block (to prevent spacing) and put the a/c units back. It was done right and we are confident we won't be having any more issues. I will admit it did take 2-weeks of steady follow up to get things moving, but everyone was respectful about it and we are very happy. read more

I had a rat problem in my first floor rental unit. I called Resolve based on their previous Yelp reviews. The service was fantastic. The person who answered my first call spent about 20 minutes explaining to me what the process would be and how they could fix the problem. They had a service person out the same day to look at the situation (the service person was the owner of the company) Throughout the four day job (which started the day after I called and was pretty extensive. It included digging up the floor and putting a camera in the sewer pipe) the owner, Mike, was onsite every day checking out the progress. His work crew was professional, friendly and very easy to work with. They did a great job and worked quickly. They cleaned up everything after finishing the project, and were very considerate of my tenant who remained in her apartment while the work was completed. Best of all, they completely solved the rat problem. They were able to find the point of entrance in the sewer and seal it off. The entire process was very impressive! Given the amount of time and work the job required the price was more than fair. I highly recommend this company! read more

Had these guys in for an ant problem. They did a great job, but their service went above and beyond the call of duty. As the guy, Mike, was leaving, I pointed out a birds nest on the porch and asked for his opinion. He told me he would wait until the eggs hatched (so the birds could survive) and come back and remove it for me, for free. Really great team and people to work with. I had issues with some bed bugs in my building this summer (my worst fear). They were able to get someone out there quickly and I was able to sleep soundly once again. Yesterday I woke up to what I thought were bites and lots of them. They looked almost identical to the bites I had before. I called Resolve again. They have a 90 day warranty on their work and I knew I was close to the 90 days being up. The man on the phone was so kind as he asked me questions and explained that even if I was a few days outside of the 90, it isn't a line drawn in the sand and they wanted to help me out. I explained the many bites that I had and they agreed that this needed to be taken care of immediately and they worked out a way to come to my place in less than 24 hours. Long story short, I ended up seeing a doctor because of all the bites and it was determined they were not bites, but rather hives. I called up Resolve right away to let them know that I had been mistaken and they didn't need to come. The same man I had spoken to on the phone was incredibly nice and said that he was just happy everything was ok and should anything come up again, to let them know. I thanked him again for being so accommodating and working to help me out, even when it didn't end up being bed bugs. Overall, this is just a great company and they really care about what they do and their clients. Having pests in the home can feel really mortifying and embarrassing, but they take care of the job and do so in a fair and honest way. I'd recommend them without hesitation for any job. read more

I visited Chicago to help my cousin move. He had some furniture stored at another location. When the movers were getting the stuff, they found some dead field mice down there. So, when moving into the new place, all the items from that location were placed in a room, and I called Resolve Pest Solutions to come down and take a look. The person, Mike/Mark, came by later that day, looked over the materials and told us that there were no mice nesting, they'd probably gotten into the storage area and died there, everything looked safe. Because there was no real mouse problem and because my cousin was just moving in, he welcomed my cousin to the neighborhood and wouldn't accept any money (it was supposed to be $40 for inspecting the moving boxes and furniture). He had even given us tips on how to get rid of any smells from the mice and where we could find such products. Talk about honesty being the best policy! I called Resolve and described the numerous flying ants I have suddenly found in my house. The gentleman said he could come out for $185 and spray. But that the ants are common at the start of summer, likely coming in from the outside, and should leave on their own within a few days. He said he would wait and see if the problem resolves itself. I called and emailed repeatedly and they didn't call me back. I don't get it. Update: Ok so this guy came out finally but it didn't fix the problem. I called and told him that he didn't fix our issue. He was supposed to come out several times and never showed. These were scheduled appointments he didn't show for. With no explanation. He finally came like weeks later. But the issue did not resolve. Today I called the office number to let them know they didn't resolve the issue and the same weird tech guy answered. He said it wasn't their fault so I hung up because I had had so much trouble dealing with him. He then called back and yelled at me and said my husband should call them back. I am furious. Their recorded message says "we resolve your issue the first time." No they don't. read more

These guys are tops in my book. When you read the negative reviews, keep this in mind. They're pest guys and they know what they are doing. Sometimes they're not the most professional guys. I had them miss an appointment to check something out. I didn't lose it, I just called them again. When they send an invoice, they don't have an envelope to send it back to them, you have to go find one. And you know what? It's worth it. These guys have helped me with everything from ants to rats (outside) and now termites (I know, it makes my place sound bad but oh well). They tore my basement up to peel the carpet back and drill into the foundation for this treatment, serious business. When they were done, everything was patched up and good to go and I couldn't even tell they had been there. Problem solved. I trust these guys 100% to do the job, and you should too. Very helpful! I called to get an appointment for a general spray of my apartment, they asked what prompted the need for the spray. When I told them about a bug I found on my bed they said I could just text them a picture and they would tell me if it is something to worry about before I spent the money having them come out. As a short blonde single female I get loads of suspicious advice from service providers. Not so with Resolve Pest Solutions. They fixed my rodent and bird issues without any condescension or BS. Any pest controller can feed you a line. Most of them can not pull in a complete solution with their own capabilities ( oh now call a sewer guy we said what was wrong etc.). If it affects your sewer catchbasin or roof gutters, Resolve Pest can resolve it for you. No BS and 100% resolution. read more

No Show - No Call - My employer owns a 6 flat in the Lakeview/Uptown area. We have made two appointments with Resolve and both times, they were a no show. They didn't call to let us know that they couldn't make it or to reschedule. Based on their website and upon reviews of customers who they actually serviced, it seems like they do a great job. But their non-responsive attitude isn't acceptable. I guess, as another reviewer said - they don't need our business. Terrible way to run things though. read more

So found out my cat has fleas, haven't seen anything on my house, but I have had them in my house back in college (in long long ago) so i know they are no fun. Call up and talk to someone for a quote, but he says since we haven't noticed any and we aren't noticing bites or scratching, it would be easier(and cheaper) to have the cat put on flea medicine and buy a spray for the areas the cat uses the most. He said if it gets to be a problem call him back, but we should be good if we commit to the simple fixes. Always appreciate it when a business recommends some DYI instead of just coming out and charging people. read more

I scheduled an appointment with Resolve for Saturday morning to get rid of bedbugs, and during the call asked about the billing process. Explained that my permanent address was different than the one that needed the treatment (I'm a student). Ok, fine. Saturday morning rolls around and I wait and wait for four hours. No one shows. I try calling the office and if goes straight to voicemail. Finally, I just leave a voicemail to cancel the appointment and half an hour later I get a call from a technician claiming the reason he was late was because he went to the billing address in the suburbs (this is not true, my family lives at this address and they said no exterminator ever rang their bell). I definitely get that this is Chicago and you just have to accept that companies are going to give you a very loose window, but this was not okay. Especially since I called Orkin that day and the guy was here in under an hour on a Saturday, super nice, and even cut me a deal. I'm giving 2 stars to Resolve because I have no way of knowing the quality of their service. read more
