A quick Yelp search led us to this spot for our final dinner here in Prague. We were looking for a…read morerestaurant that would be a little more upscale than a cafeteria but wouldn't necessarily break our wallets. Fortunately, we were able to find an okay medium here at Mlejnice.
First, be weary that they get booked up rather quickly. We came on a Wednesday evening and still had trouble getting a seat. A party ended up not showing up so we were seated with an hour time limit. Perfect we thought- that was all we needed!
While the service here was only decent (must be be cause of how tourist friendly they are), the food was pretty good and filling for the two of us. We ordered the Pork Knuckle since it was a highly rated item across all of Prague and some Gnoochi with spinach. The pork was divine and easy to cut into to share between people. We also enjoyed the gnoochi although I personally found it to be a bit too salty for my taste. However, these two dishes were able to fill us up for the night.
Now to go back to the service, it was definitely hard to flag down our server or get any staff members attention for the bill. Fortunately they did take card for our $30 meal, but they did add a bit of pressure for you to tip either on the card or in cash afterwards. Tip at your own discretion.
If you're looking to try a good pork knuckle in Prague, this one here is a good contender despite it being a bit pricier than other places.
