The broth was very thick and filled with meat, not just broth, with big chunks of potatoes and carrots. The pork knuckle could be on or off the bone, it was like 2 servings. It came with white and purple sauerkraut and chives dumplings. I had the goulash, which was a hint of spicy with the paprika and onions. The dumplings (4) sopped up the rest of the gravy. I'm so glad I stopped in. It was kind of a hidden gym, everywhere else around was so busy, but not this place. You can get away from the crowds of tourists here. Such a beautiful outdoor view overlooking the little river. They do have indoor seating as well, but as I went on a warm day in early September, it was pretty hot inside. The pisna was great! I made a reservation a month in advance, but did not know I had to specifically request for tables outside on the river. When we arrived, only a few outdoor tables were taken, but was told the rest were reserved, so we were seated indoors instead. When we finished our dinner, the same few outdoor tables were occupied. I don't know why the restaurant couldn't just stagger the guests for the outdoor tables according to their reservation times.

The food on offer for Easter Day lunch and dinner was great. The three course choice menu provided us a sample of traditionally prepared rabbit, while our mains were delicious Czech cuisine. Dessert was a very tasty pear and ice cream en flambé. Located on the edge of the area and just on the other side of the large park, it is a nice spot to stumble upon for a bite to eat or have a full meal. Seating inside with open windows provides great views of the hillside as well as the busy sidewalk. The staff was very attentive and accommodating for us and for the large number of guests that were showing up for Easter Day dinner. They carved out time for our table to sample their wines and beers before ordering and were very on top of ensuring everything about our experience was going well. For the high quality food this restaurant produces and the overall experience, I think you are getting a great value for your money if you decide to visit this place during your stay in Prague.
