This is our 5th night in Prague, we wanted to try another good Czech restaurant. Found this highly rated restaurant within walking distance from our hotel. The server, Jan, greeted us with warmth and welcome. He offered us samples of local beer and wine while we made our dinner selections. We had the goulash and duck confit. The duck was super tender and delicious. The goulash was also very tasty. We loved the delicious food and the atmosphere! The price is very reasonable, overall a delicious dinner and very good value! We will revisit the next time when we are in Prague. read more

The staff were friendly, the ambience relaxed and intimate, the food so rich and delightful and reflective of the culture, perfectly off the beaten path from the tourist chaos. This was probably my favourite restaurant that I ate at whilst in Czechia. The food, the location, and the hospitality was amazing through and through. The food on offer for Easter Day lunch and dinner was great. The three course choice menu provided us a sample of traditionally prepared rabbit, while our mains were delicious Czech cuisine. Dessert was a very tasty pear and ice cream en flambé. Located on the edge of the area and just on the other side of the large park, it is a nice spot to stumble upon for a bite to eat or have a full meal. Seating inside with open windows provides great views of the hillside as well as the busy sidewalk. The staff was very attentive and accommodating for us and for the large number of guests that were showing up for Easter Day dinner. They carved out time for our table to sample their wines and beers before ordering and were very on top of ensuring everything about our experience was going well. For the high quality food this restaurant produces and the overall experience, I think you are getting a great value for your money if you decide to visit this place during your stay in Prague. read more

We didn't make reservations soon enough to get into the actual Czech Slovak restaurant, but we were able to eat in their affiliated restaurant, the Foodery. The food is the same, the ambiance perhaps not as elegant. However, we had a great time, and thoroughly enjoyed our food. The flambé pear is not to be missed. The staff was all delightful, friendly and efficient. A month later, we are still smiling as we think of our evening. All 6 of us would happily return. read more

Absolutely incredible dining experience. It felt like we were in somebody's home rather than in a restaurant. The food was extraordinary, the dishes complex but not overly fussy, and just incredibly creative. Our waiter (I wish I'd gotten his name - he as fantastic) knew everything about every ingredient in every dish - where it came from, how it was grown. To top it all off his knowledge of wine and his selections of wine were both just incredible. We had one of their best meals in Prague here. Wow ok this was by far the best place to foray into local cuisine, I cannot express how delicious and delicate the food was here. The restaurant is very small and intimate and everything was honestly perfect. I had the potato soup which was super delicious and the beef with dumplings. There was another couple there that was struggling to make it through the tasting menu and literally were undoing their pants LOL - I think it was worth it though! Highly recommended and a great walk. There is also a metro stop right in front and it's around the corner from several great bars and a produce market. read more

This authentic family run restaurant did not disappoint. From the moment of entry, you are greeted warmly and welcomed with a smile. The dining room is hip and modern, every detail just right. There is no "wine list" but that's where the unique experience starts. The sommelier ( a funny, personable guy) comes to your table, sharing his knowledge of the wines offered that day ( some coming from their very own vineyard) and provides you with your own personal wine tasting. Beer is also made in house and much of the food offered comes from their farm or harvested locally. The food, simply outstanding! It is innovative, tasty and beautifully presented. Our starter, goat cheese croquette, came out like a work of art. Pumpkin purée, homemade creme fraiche, drops of honey and other little culinary surprises adorned the plate.... each bite surprisingly delicious. The Chicken with homemade noodles in their special sauce was outstanding. The Venison dish is a recipe handed down by the family's grandfather, rich and hearty. This is a little gem of a place and will leave you wanting to go again and again. read more

Highly recommended. My colleagues and I stopped in here for dinner. There is a bar and restaurant area, and we seated in the restaurant area, which has just a few tables but is absolutely upscale and cozy whereas the bar is rustic. We all enjoyed our meals, including salads, soups, wild game (duck, rabbit) that is hard to find these days, and poached pear desert. Everything was expertly prepared and very nicely presented! Wait staff were also super nice and attentive. What an incredible treasure of a restaurant here in Prague! I can't comment on value relative to local economy, but on an international scale, the value was truly remarkable with total costs, including drinks, averaging about 20 euros per person. If you're looking for a great meal in an upscale setting, this is definitely the place to get it! read more

We are so lucky we noticed this restaurant around the corner from our vacation rental. What a wonderful experience. We came in with no reservation but were lucky to get the table of a no-show, along with lovely wine offered while we waited. Everything was delicious, the creamy rich mushroom soup, gnocchi, venison and boar goulash, trout with spring vegetables. But what really made this a wonderful evening were the cousins whose labor of love is this place. So much pride in the food and family recipes, and so knowledgeable about his wines! This was a bargain, about $70 US for 3 courses with paired wines, including several tastings. Highly recommend! read more

A few of my friends went here to get some Czech food after studying here for a number of months and we were pleasantly surprised! It is a family owned restaurant with incredible options that aren't seen in most Czech restaurants. It is extremely beautiful inside with incredible food to match. I got the duck (upon recommendation from our waitress,) and my other friends got the rabbit, beef, salmon salad, and gnocchi.
