Beautiful place, with a perfect view of the water. Coming on a Sunday afternoon has it perks the place was not over packed and even tho there was some drizzle on and off we still enjoyed our time together. Wifi code = Budweiser Service was slow for what we ordered and I didn't find it all that great. It was amazing that I'm dying to come back but it wasn't horrible that I wouldn't stop on by again. We started with the fried squid. Disappointing as it was all stuck together or should I say fried all together. Super rubbery and the little salad they said comes with it had no dressing. The burger was supposed to be blue cheese but they must of run out so just slapped a piece of orange cheese on it without even letting us know. The burger was supposed to be blue cheese with bbq sauce which would make for a great burger. Little disappointed but the burger was okay and everyone loved the French fries. Salad was disappointing. It said Brie so I thought it would be on top or served with croutons crackers but nope just shoved on the side which was random as ever. The chicken was not what I was expecting. It should of been grilled or at least cooked with some colour, it just had a weird rubbery feel to it. The dressing was nice it was oil and balsamic. I didn't hate it but again I wouldn't order it again I would try the Cesar salad. Drinks were super cheap but u don't taste much booze. Bloody cesar's are $7.50 and a pitcher of bud light ( that's all they had on tap ) was $15. Prices were okay drinks did taste good just needs more booze. The inside is gorgeous and is also a party place / club. Due to covid there was only seating outside which was still great. read more

What a nice restaurant on the main drag in Magog, Quebec, Canada overlooking Lake Memphrémagog. We dined alfresco under a shady umbrella. Jeff, introduced himself and presented his monologue. Bottled water was placed on the table and after looking at the menu I decided to order a grilled chicken salad with cranberries, walnuts, arugula, cucumber with a great aioli dressing. I also ordered a Guinness Stout. This place has live music in the evening and also doubles as a liquor store. Please check your bill carefully and pay by credit card if your an American due to the exchange rates which change daily. I did not approach Jeff but we were charged for the water. He should have mentioned that prior. Overall I would rate this three and one stars. read more

Came here for lunch with the bf, I got the Mac and Cheese, he got the Steak and Fries. The food was really really good! The menu options are not that creative but everything was really tasty! The staff was very friendly, and the outdoor seating was definitely appreciated. They had those warm lights outside so we were really comfortable. The music was very upbeat (top 40's). I think it was the best option from that main street! Definitely recommend it! read more

The plate included the steak with some fried onions and some herbs (not sure what it was) on top, pepper sauce, fries and a salad (wasn't expecting the salad) and it was amazing! The menu doesn't have many options, it's more like a normal bar food menu. The service was great, bilingual and very friendly. There was a large patio with heating and good music playing. Have to say this was the worst food and service we've had in all the years we have been going to Magog. We were starving so put in a quick order for nachos before we ordered food. 45 minutes later still no Nachos, waitress forgot to put them in, said it would take 25 min for a new order. By that time we should be eating our dinner order. 25 minutes later our food arrives, My fish n chips, the fish was way over deep fried. Fish coating was hard as rock and inedible. The pizza my wife got was burnt and inedible and had onions on it which she specifically requested NO ONIONS. Overall a bad experience for weary travelers. On our jaunt into Quebec Province, we stopped at the Liquor Store, which is a restaurant (heavy on the beer, wine and liquor) along Magog's main retail street. Magog isn't a particularly pretty little town, but it has some nice shopping, some friendly French-Canadian people and this very good restaurant. It was a gorgeous, sunny day and we ate on the outside patio, soon joined by dozens of sun-loving, French-speaking Canadians. Our cute bilingual waitress quickly deduced we were English speakers and brought an English-language menu and some drinks (good girl!). We enjoyed some delicious smoked salmon and a grilled chicken salad, drizzled with honey, and served with warm brie and some yummy, crusty bread. The waitress kept checking back with us despite the growing crowd, and we felt not only very happy with our meal but very pleased with the attention. The tab came to a mere $33 (American) including drinks, which we felt was quite reasonable. Magog is about 30 minutes from the Vermont border just off I-55 (I-92 in the US) and only a little over an hour south of Montreal. The restaurant is about 15 minutes (with moderate traffic) from I-55. read more

Good Food. Decent Service. RUDE night staff. Stopped here for lunch over Labour Day weekend on my 36th birthday. Our waiter was great, and our food was solid. Came back in the evening for drinks, and the bouncer carded by 30 year old girlfriend with greying hair (she'd left her ID in the hotel room). We tried reasoning with him, even offering him to show him our bill from earlier that very day, and teenaged ogre laughed at us, and became aggressive Overall, a stereotypical small-town mentality. read more

I loved everything about this place until a mistake was made with an order. We were a group of 20 and one of our guests ordered a simple cesar salad with no bacon because he cannot eat bacon. The chef mistakenly made it with bacon, and when we indicated that it couldn't be eaten then chef refused to make a new one. He actually REFUSED to make a casar salad with no bacon and said that no modifications were allowed even though several other dishes were modified. After speaking to management they admitted they could not change the chef's mind. What kind of place does not admit when they made a mistake and cannot work with a customer to find a suitable alternative? It was clear the chef here was having a temper tantrum and doesn't care about his customers. Our guest was afraid to order anything else due to the chefs aggressive behaviour. I really wasn't expecting much. We were driving from Quebec City back to the states and needed to stop for a late lunch. We drove up and down the main street trying to pick a place. It was a beautiful day so we went with the place with the very large outdoor seating. It was 2:30 so I didn't know how we would be received. It also had a bit of a bar vibe and I was worried that we would be dissed for not ordering drinks, since we were driving. I was wrong on all counts! The staff was friendly, the menu was inviting, and the food was actually excellent. I had a chicken salad and my husband had the chicken sandwich and in both instances the chicken was cooked perfectly. Let me restate that for emphasis - perfectly. The salad was a mix of fresh baby field greens. my husbands french fries were crispy and served with mayo and lots of pepper, just the way we like them. The bread was good and crusty. The salad dressings came on the side and were not your standard gloppy mess. One had a bit of a mango tang and was really very refreshing. The place is huge and the garden was so comfortable that we had to force ourselves to leave. Could have easily sat there all afternoon. If we could have only had a beer...... read more
