I am visiting Reims for the first time I stayed in the hotel and ate in restaurant( 1 dinner, 1 Lunch and had room service once. The food is EXCELLENT! The service EXCELLENT! Consistent every time! I have dined here many, many times. Normally it is a 5-star experience. This time, however, they had no foie gras and the fish portion I received of the Turbo was shockingly small for the price paid. It was ok, but had many bones in the small filet. Others in our group were also disappointed with the chicken Caesar salads. read more

We wandered around looking for somewhere and decided on Cru Chantzy (see the review) but left immediately to go to La Paix. From the outside it looked OK and had a decent, reasonably priced menu It was pretty full but had room...we both had the bavette (cooked saignant & a point plus), a dessert for one, cheese for the other, a coffee, washed down with a bottle of Bourgueil The service was good, friendly, chatty but efficient and the younger lad also spoke good English, not that we needed to The dessert was good, the cheese too but straight from the fridge so too cold really But the surprise was our bavette - they were both excellent. It is often difficult to get a good steak in France (I know, howls of protest, but its true), even from a butcher, and bavette at the cheaper end of steaks can often be as tough as old boots. Probably the best bavette I've had in 50 years of working, living and travelling in France. You never know what to expect from a restaurant associated with a hotel, but Café del la Paix was impressive, with the exception of a rocky start where the first could not find the champaign we ordered and then we noticed they were about to open a brut and not a rosé... however from here on in everything was great! We ordered a oyster platter after hearing so much about the oysters - this was fresh and the oysters simply were the standout as the staff explained. Next we stayed on the seafood theme with a crab, salmon and avocado salad; which I enjoyed a lot; before moving on to a seafood noodle dish which was warming and filling... Despite which we ventured for the profiteroles that we assumed we would simply try and leave having both been stuffed - however they were so nice they too were quickly gone! read more

Magnificent late night summer dinner here! Everything from start to finish was delicious. I highly recommend the foi gras, entrecôte Steak , tiramisu Rose . Menu enfant was enjoyed by both of my children. They had the salmon and rice which was healthy and good quality. I would not eat anywhere else along this blvd. because this place is beautifully decorated and has a pedigree for being the best. They have large tables and a huge patio in the back. Our last night here. Did not feel like walking far today. Settled on this location because we are staying here at the Best Western. So happy we did. For a very good price we had the most delicious meal to end our stay! Warm goat salad, some oysters, and more bread with butter in silver tubes... The main course was what looked like Shepards pie confit du Canard style- AMAZING! Big helping, we could not finish. No room in our bellies for dessert or cafe. Done. Thank you! read more

We were so pleasantly surprised by such a great restaurant in a best western! All of the food was amazing and very reasonably priced. We had huge oysters, a delicious salmon salad and the special of the day which was duck. Even the cheese plate was very reasonably priced at €6. We had a delicious lunch. The basil ice cream on the tartelettes de tomates was a great touch. The salad frecheuir was huge and the melon was perfect. The Caesar salad et poulet was one of the best! Lovely to have "table champagne" and it's Mumms! read more

Terrible service. We waited for 30 minutes after being seated. I asked the waitress TWICE if we could order. Her response both times was "this isn't my area" while she was serving the table next to us. After their display of gross negligence, despite several attempts to call their attention (so we could order, and pay them for food as is a restaurant's business model) we decided to leave. Unfortunate because supposedly the food is decent. This does call into question the quality of their employees, if you're you lack the basic skills to notice a table has been waiting for half an hour, god only knows what else they're incapable of doing. read more

I am an American in France. I have been to France 4 or 5 times and love the country. Aware and accepting that the service is slower in France. However, the service was rude. The food was mediocre at best. It took 2 hours to get our entree. We missed the first light show at the cathedral. They apologized AFTER we paid the bill. Horrible service, mediocre food! While the food here was average, I recommend coming here for their desserts. This was the first meal we had in Reims and no other restaurants desserts compared. Every night we were disappointed by the other restaurants desserts and kept thinking of coming back here. read more

Salad came out fast and was delicious but the rest of the good till forever. Service was friendly up until we told our waiter that we were in a hurry and needed to go and if the food was almost out (he lied and said it was but we will waited another 20 mins) and then refused to pack it up for us to go, we almost missed our tour bus trying to scarf down our food. As for the taste, my mom said the salmon skewer was one of the best she'd ever had, I found my steak extremely chewy and hard to eat, especially quickly. read more
