Often reasonably priced, but they do not have everything! It's my experience that they tend to run out of the commonly used baking items, like silicone mats, when one would least expect it. So they may be stocked in season but less so out of season. 3/26/20 Came here to grab a few things and of course I left spending more than I wanted but it's ok. As this place always has plenty of food options, and I need to buy a few meat products since the regular grocery stores seemed to be sold out. They have so many options here from spices, canned goods, meats, veggies and many many more. I've learned of this place thanks to my uncle whom has a business and constantly has people over or get together. Therefore, I come here every so often. Great store to shop for your business, restaurant or for your big family. 2017 This is a great place to stock up for large events and of course if you're a restaurant owner. The prices are great in comparison to the other big box stores. The customer service here is great, I always get the help I need and makes my time in here quickly spent. You have to be a business to shop here. They don't care what business you are in so I've always had accounts with restaurant supply places. This is my go to for duck. They have the Maple leaf farm ducks for $2.49 a lb. it's a good deal. If you are reading this 5 years from now it would probably be an unbelievable deal. I'm sure the price will have gone up. I always pick up kosher salt when I'm here and it's good if you need 25 limes. I did. Made a batch of old sour. Google it. This is definitely a step up from Gordon's but not in the league with creation gardens. read more

I had the opportunity to visit Restaurant Depot with a friend who has a membership for a small non profit organization. I was able to pickup a few items for myself. I never knew this place existed. Located off the beaten path near Audubon park area. Membership is offered to many which caters and to local restaurants and small businesses for less, similar to your local Sam's or a Costco except (without membership fees). Very cool. This facility is Ginormous! It's refrigerated area reminds me of your local beer cave on steroids! Only it's a huge cave of Meats, dairy, produce, seafood and beverages ( non alcoholic ) sold in bulk or medium sized to prepared and prepackaged ready to cook items and dry goods of all types. Just about anything one needed to feed a army to a large or medium sized group. There is also Equipment of all types needed to cook plus every kind of supply one needs to plate and serve. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy access to ample parking. read more

I have been going to restaurant depot for almost 4 years now, most of the people who wander are usually rude and very unprofessional, and I only keep going for the quality of products they sell but The only thing I will really I asked the general manager to talk to whoever is a manager today to treat the customers better than just being rude and very unprofessional to the loyal customers of keep coming back even though the customer service is a trash ... you guys need to hire better people people who really want to work in the store and Treated your costumer right ... very disappointed in the customer service what a joke read more

Prices are the same or maybe a little better than the warehouse clubs but you don't have to pay the crazy membership fee. Too bad it is so far away from me or I would be there more often! Stopped in here to get a few items for work. It's located off Preston Highway and Watterson Expressway (264). This was the first time I had to come to Restaurant Depot and I was thoroughly impressed by the store. The store is like a Mega Costco/Sam's Club for small restaurants and they have a wide variety of frozen meats, seafood, produce and dry groceries. I was just amazed at their selection of items and just how well stocked the store was. The entire staff was very helpful and polite. I recommend this location to anyone who owns a small restaurant or even to those who want to stock up on food items for parties and gatherings. read more

I went there with a friend, a caterer, and saw many items that I have not seen anywhere else. Be aware that you need to have a Restaurant Depot membership account to shop there. Applying for membership is super easy and can be done online but you will need to present your business license or tax exemption certificate to get a membership card at the store. Store Hours are 7 AM - 6 PM on weekdays, except Thursday it closes at 7PM. It closes early, at 4 pm on Saturday and at 3 pm on Sunday. I have become a member and I plan to shop there at least once a month. Oh, don't forget to wear warm clothes when you go there, because it is freezing cold inside. :-) read more

Excellent resource for restaurant owners! Amazing customer service! Some prices can't be bid. Check it out and save on pasta, garlic, other spices, and cheeses! If I'm not mistaken, RD is set up in the old Winn Dixie distribution center. At any rate, prices are decent, on par with Sam's, Costco & GFS. Some items can be purchased in small amounts, if you only need a little bit. Excellent produce selection back in the refrigerated section (take you coat, hat, scarf & gloves) and much larger selection of frozen prepared foods than at the Big Boxes. This was my first time. Not sure if all items I saw today will be there next time. read more

The last 4 times I have been in there they have been out of what I needed, thought they had some in stock but couldn't locate the item or - today - DIDNT have an item that was in their flyer. The store is always disorganized, it's hard to get someone to help and only a few knows what's really going on. You can never depend on them having an item you need and don't try to special order anything. I'm still waiting for boxes that were supposed to be coming since the first week they were open. read more
