About once every three months we visit Restaurant Depot to stock up on frozen seafood (i.e., crawfish, fish, shrimp), rice, seasonings, and dessert sauces. Today, we scored some Caribbean Red Snapper, Halibut, and Whiting at excellent prices. Restaurant Depot employees have always been very helpful. Today, two individuals went "Over & Above" for us: Golden in the frozen seafood section searched and found a box of halibut and Devin (forklift driver) located and brought-down a pallet of habanero peppers. As a former retailer (20 years) and process/performance Improvement consultant (30 years), I am IMPRESSED with the stores upkeep and especially the Customer Service!!! read more

Remarkably clean and well organized this store is great for church parties and small restaurants. Must be member to buy. I worked for a food distributor for 17 years as a buyer, restaurant designer and national account manager and can dodge forklifts. read more

So nice! Definitely my go to for any future parties! Im a formal cheese tray lover and I must say their cheese section and prices are fantastic! I also loved the smoked Salmon I picked up! this place is a cookers dream. They have everything from a whole goat to clothing for chefs and industrial cookware. The only thing is you'll need to have a membership and Business tax ID to get into this place. My favorites have got to be the lamb, beef and crablegs. Its so cheap! read more

Just got asked to leave because I was wearing flip flops....while being reprimanded by assistant Mgr, several customers around me entering and paying for their supplies, we're all wearing same footwear I was. If the Mgr hadn't told me "to do whatever the hell I want", it wouldn't have been such an issue. The disrespect by every associate in the entire store from the concierge playing on her phone to the cashiers to the assistant manager john Lange...even trying to call corporate all I could reach was west coast operations. I guess no one works in the back offices of this company, which is probably why everyone is so upset in the brick and mortar of their business. Altogether very embarrassing. read more

Today was the only time I've had a bad experience at this store. The cashier that checked me out was so rude, and that's usually never the case. When I got to her line I smiled and asked how her day was and she said nothing, she looked at me with the scanner in her hand and said "card" then when I wrote out my check I wrote my ID number on it and asked her if she needed to see it and she said "ID" I showed it to her and she said "oh you already wrote it on here, I don't f***ing need that then" this woman needs a job where she is not around people if that's the attitude she is going to have towards customers read more

Note- don't bother trying to buy equipment from this group. Total disaster. Horrible on every level. They seem to just want to sell food. I felt like I was on a hidden camera show when talking to the person in charge. We have found the people working to be very nice and helpful. They have a great selection of a lot of items and the prices are very good on certain things. The checkout can be a pain and very slow. Seems like they have a tough time keeping items in the system and frequently have to price check things. Some stores have fresh seafood but Memphis does not. Overall well worth checking out if you need larger quantities of food. Must have a tax ID number. read more

I was in there today in the Memphis store, they were busy as usual. The cashier with the red hair that likes the Broncos became loud and obnoxious because the lines were long. I had seen other employees there, but someone said they were at lunch. The lady that manages that department, tried to reassure her she was getting help. The red haired cashier kept on complaining. This employee was rude, disrespectful, and insubordinate. I as a business owner would not have an employee on my payroll that's like this. I don't fathom Restaurant Depot having someone like that working there. This isn't the first time this cashier has been like this. I have heard her bad mouth her department manager, talk bad about her, and in general be rude to her as she has waited on me previously. There's others there that do this too, even in front of customers. I do not want to shop in a place where a person is brought down, and a cashier is negative about her job. If she's that unhappy, then she should seek other employment. Hopefully the manager she was tearing down is ok. She was outside crying afterwards. I will not be back as long as that cashier is there. read more

My experience is always good here. I have learned most of the employees name from my frequent visits. The place is always clean, employees are polite and prices are fair. Erica is a lifesaver when it comes to speeding up fast checkouts and finding products on hand for you. read more
