Well I will have to say this last visit just was the straw that broke the camel's back the managers are forever miserable and show it by their expressions on their faces with no smiles never apologetic for any of the Mix-Ups due to their mistakes. Like today apparently there had been a lot of stuff put underneath signs that wouldn't apply to that product even though the product was also chicken and it looked like it could be the leg quarters but wrong SKU. Happy appreciated employees make fewer errors. Not to mention us as the customer mention to the manager about the mix up rolled her eyes and said "Get the sign and walked a way." I've been a customer service manager for 25 years employees work better when they're appreciated and not treated like they do not matter. If you're an owner and you have a facility like this you should be ashamed of yourself. Prices and products is why we go here. However we have avoided going back because of the rudeness and my concern for the employees too. We hoped for improvement but No. The interactions between the manager's & customers is appauling. It sucks I ha e to drive a ways to get here and each time shelves are empty with this product it seems. Most of the people are very nice and helpful But unfortunately there is always one who makes you never want to go back. In this case it's the woman at the service counter with blue hair. She is short tampered rude and makes you feel unwanted. You call on the phone and ask for a product so you don't have to run from Ypsilanti to Troy, and you are bothering her. I needed to me a large quantity of a product, she says"yea we got some" click go's the phone. I go to the Troy store , I look for the product not there, I go to the counter she said they have 40 1 gallon jugs ( 10 cases) she slammed her hand down calls a high-low and says,( if he can't find it I guess you're out of luck, I don't know what to tell you and why you got to call every day), I wonder why myself. So I stopped going there unless I have no choice. I have mentioned her to the other stores and they know EXACTLY who she. Rude, mean, she plays like she is above everyone else and you should be happy she even looks in your direction or give you the time of day. I almost guarantee if she was talked to in the manner she talks to people she would go crazy and have to be thrown out of the store. Retrain or put her somewhere where she has no contact with people! Worst place to shop but I have no other choice. Nothing is ever stocked on shelves. You have to search for items overhead yourself and hope that one of the pallet drivers don't ignore you when you need assistance. This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. I'm fearful I'm going to be injured or killed in this place from their negligence and wreckless driving through the aisles. Check out is a painful process as well. Not enough check lanes open then you have to wait until someone comes over and count your items which they can't seem to get right either. First off, you have to have a Tax Id to be able to shop here... it's not open to the public. But, if your clever, it should be pretty easy to get one, even if you don't have your own business or Charity. A lot of groups (Cub Scouts, Schools, Church Groups) would be eligible. The prices here are basically the cheapest you are going to find. Cheaper than Sams/Costco and cheaper than any broadline distributors (Sysco, GFS, etc). Shawn the GM is a good guy, as are most of the other employees there. They've got a lot of variety of almost anything... I like to get meats here if I'm doing a BBQ or camping. It is a giant warehouse, and there's no shopping carts, just giant palate on wheels thingies.... But check it out... especially if you are doing an even for a big group. If I could rate as 0, I would. Troy, MI location. I was overcharged, pointed that out, was told that I need to return this item. Was repeatedly sent back and forth, from one person to another. Simple process took over 45 minutes. Manager wasn't helpful. Lady helping at the register, when I pointed out that simple process should not take that long, yelled at me that I am being rude then ignored my request for assistance and started assisting customers that came later. The prices and selection make it worthwhile but I will agree with several other reviews regarding the TERRIBLE customer service (most times). The problem I have most often is the lunch meat is not in the correct place or is not restocked regularly. When I ask for help finding something I have on multiple occasions been given the wrong item. They either don't know their inventory or just want to get a customer out of their hair. This results in me being charged much more than I should have been charged (and I usually don't catch it right away). Then its a major PITA to drive back and return/exchange items. I've found CS at Gordon's to be much better and to be honest prices are similar on many items. RD is larger and has more variety but its getting to the point where I dread going there anymore. It's a shame, it could be such a positive experience if their employees just gave a crap! Hopefully corporate reads these reviews and takes notice of all the CS complaints, it's something that should be easily reversed with training (or replacing employees who can't understand the importance of customer service). read more

I'm a driver trying to deliver..... checked in at 1120a for my noon appt.....give them my paperwork and my number to call when ready for a door...... at 1p I walk in to get update not only for me but my company because now my next pick up has to be rescheduled..... guys gets an attitude, throws his pen down, starts waiving his hands around etc..... very rude and aggressive. Tells me my update is when they call or come get me for a door..... so that's what I tell my company. As I wrote this it's not 120p and still not called for a door yet 3 other trucks behind me have..... there's a ton of food safety issues here because they have fish/seafood on a pallet right beside fresh produce getting outta temp... noticed that when I checked in at 1120a and when I went in for update same 2 pallets of fish and produce still sitting there.... just a cluster of a place from the overall location, the parking lot for us trucks is full of potholes and cramped as I don't know what, the extremely rude and aggressive staff, and of course the treatment or lack there of treatment for the food they're receiving. read more
