After ending our tour with Jerry's Adventures (MUST GO TOUR, AMAZING EXPERIENCE) we went to Los Checos for a late lunch/ dinner. Fantastic experience. Talk about authentic Puerto Rican food accompanied by great service. I was unbelievably impressed. The view from the balcony is breathtaking and the pork and sweet plantains are awesome. My fiancé and I were very impressed.

Go! I wish I could leave this review at that...GO! However; I'd be remiss if I neglected to inform you of how truly delicious & authentic the food is here. Muduros, rice, cassava, yuca, fish, meat, tamarind juice, rum, tres leche & more. Plenty of seating inside and covered outdoor patio with a lovely view. Pleasant, prompt service at the perrrrrfect price. GO! ~Christy read more
Authentic Puerto Rican food that is sure to hit the spot! I went on a hiking tour with Jerry's Adventures and we decided to stop by for some food on our way back. The food was served family style for our group of 11. Every single item I tasted was so flavorful and tasted amazing! The yucca was by far my favorite, garlicky and just perfect. Other items brought out included pork, beans, rice, plantains, chicken and maybe a few more. The view was amazing as well. Definitely worth every penny! And don't forget about desert... the flan and cheesecake is awesome! read more
This restaurant is absolutely amazing! Service and food is wonderful. Everything we tried was flavorful and delicious! This is the true local flavor - nothing touristy about it. I'm so glad that we got to experience this place (pictures doesn't do it justice!). I could not believe how inexpensive everything was priced compared to San Juan. This restaurant has amazing views! Highly recommend! Big thanks to Jerry's Adventure for taking us here! read more

Great local spot for authentic Puerto Rican food. Stopped here after hiking to the hidden waterfalls with the coolest tour guide, Jerry (check out jerrysadventures.com). read more

Food is family style and so good. It is the best food I have during my stay on the island. Stewed beef is a must try!

What!? This place is everything. Jerry's Adventures brought us here for lunch so we could try all the local flavors. It was our favorite meal in PR. Yes it was on paper plates but it was served with love and attention and with lots of variety. We don't do corporate chains so this was our paradise. read more

Phenomenal view and delicious Puerto Rican food! We came with a group of ten and shared a variety of dishes. Very good value for money.

A "chinchorro" type restaurant. Big, in the countryside and with a view. Serves "lechón asado" (pork on a spit), rotisserie chicken (pollo asado) and other traditional side dishes. The pork was dry and microwave heated (big no-no), chicken was ok, tostones were from frozen stock (not so good), and about half the sweet potato pieces tasted like vinegar (spoiled). Would not recommend it. read more
