Pork Souvlaki plate with fries + Half&Half pork gyro and chicken shawarma with rice plate w/ tzatziki side.

Ordered the pork souvlaki plate with Tzatziki side. Also had a chicken and pork gyro half and half plate. Pork gyro so good we ordered another side plate ($7) of it. Definitely search out this place to have a satisfying meal.

Marathons makes a fine souvlaki but you gotta eat it fresh. I made the mistake of doing take-out once and it just wasn't as good as it is fresh. And you want the meat to be hot to contrast that cool tzaziki sauce. Marathons is definitely not a place I go to often but it's also not a place I can stay away from for too long before I get a craving. Just writing this makes me wish I had one right now.

Everything is amazing at this place! Location, value for money, service, cuisine and ambience are fantastic! One of my favorite places in Montreal.

One of my favorite places to eat for 20+ years now. Traditional Greek cuisine that hits the spot, especially when you need a boost. Pros : - Many different and delicious dishes to try out. My all time favorite is the chicken pita platter with their delicious marathon salad and fries. - The Tzatziki is fantastic. - I recommend any lamb dishes they have. - Service is extremely friendly and quick. - Take out counter next door is fantastic. Cons : - Pick your times well. Going there on a Saturday night at 6-7 PM can be exceedingly frustrating as they are usually full with an hour wait at times. Furthermore, the waiting area gets packed with people and the service has to wade through the crowd of hungry clients. I strongly recommend going there early or late, you won't regret it. - Sometimes service isn't up to par. Seating arrangements can be better. Why seat people in bunks when they are only 2 when people are waiting with group of 4 or more? - If you plan to come during prime time, parking is interesting to say the least.

I had the chicken Slouvaki a salad and their round fries! This place makes good authentic Greek food!

You don't get a bad meal at this place! I had the chicken on a pita with salad and their round fries. Great service and great food!!

Here it is. The one and only. Where it all started. Marathon souvlaki. I've been eating here for 20 years now. And the biggest compliment that I can them is that the food has been exactly the same for 20 years, probably longer. There's never a surprise. You get what you expect every single time. Best souvlaki in the montreal area. Don't let the amateurs tell you differently. You can take your Marvins, Village Grec, and Arahova and stick em where the sun don't shine because that's where they belong.

Awesome Greek place; the tzatziki is to die-for and the souvlakis absolutely fill you up.

They took me INSIDE. Through the restaurant. And out the other side into this absolutely fantastic hidden courtyard. Excuse me?? Why did nobody tell me we had upgraded accommodations? The back patio is one of those spaces you'd never know existed from the street. There are stone walls, greenery climbing everywhere, strings of lights overhead and some seriously cool artwork and murals. It feels tucked away from the bustle of Old Montreal and, once the lights came on, had a really warm, relaxed atmosphere. Most importantly, nobody seemed remotely concerned that a tiny Italian Greyhound had joined the dinner party. I was welcomed right in. Mum ordered the trout over couscous, which looked extremely impressive. She did give me some of the trout. Dad ordered the steak frites. I repeat: Dad ordered steak. At a dog-friendly restaurant. While sitting next to a dog. He did not share. I feel like we've covered this issue before. Dad had wine, Mum had a Diet Coke, and I spent much of dinner curled up comfortably with Mum while monitoring the steak situation. There were developments. None favorable to me. But Wolf & Workman is exactly the kind of place we're always hoping to find when traveling: somewhere the humans don't have to compromise on having a genuinely great dinner just because I'm with them. This wasn't simply "there are a couple of tables outside where you can put the dog." I got the good patio. Dogba's verdict: 5 paws out of 5. Dog welcome: enthusiastic Surprise hidden courtyard: exceptional Murals: excellent photo opportunities Evening atmosphere: Mum approved Mum's trout: apparently delicious Dad ordering steak in my presence: provocative Wine for Dad: yes Steak for Dogba: I'd prefer not to discuss it Would absolutely return. Although next time, when someone says Wolf & Workman, I expect considerably more attention to the wolf portion of the clientele.
