Prix fixe tasting menu for 6 courses was 700 DKK per person. There was a four course option but my party of six opted for the six courses because it included two dishes that we wanted to try. All of the food was fresh and beautifully presented. It's a seasonal menu. Definitely more than enough to eat for those with larger appetites. The house made bread and whipped butter help cleanse your palate in between courses. Loved that Alexander was our server since he was quite informative about the food and provided further insight about local culture. It was nice that we had a private room upstairs which looks like it was a house. Our outdoor view included an inner courtyard. The standard is 2 hours to complete the meal. Some additional charges to keep in mind are for water and non-local credit card use. There's a charge of $45 DKK per person for both still and sparking water. Not sure about credit card. Give it a try!

Our family ate at Marv & Ben for our last dinner in Copenhagen. They have had a Bib Gourmand from the Michelin Guide for many years (per their door). And it is definitely deserved! Their bread is apparently a crowd pleaser (per their IG), and we were not different. We even asked for a refill which they do offer. We could have asked for a second refill but wanted to save our appetites for the tasting menu. Every course was delicious. We especially enjoyed the potato, langoustine, and desserts. I also got to try the dessert wine pairing that was made with blue grapes and it was amazing.

Was super excited to end our Copenhagen journey with Marv & Ben. It didn't disappoint by any means but it didn't so much blow us away. The highlight is service. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, both in terms of seating, checking in, and the meal service. The space itself is fine, the upstairs can be quite nice if you're sitting next to a window, as we were. The course menu is pretty good. It certainly was not the best course menu we've had, even in the city itself, but it was interesting. Some of the dishes were more experimental than others, which we appreciated. It started off exceptionally well with the bread, which we asked for again. The other dishes were all pretty good, not rounds I would necessarily call necessary if visiting the area. The tartare was certainly a highlight for me. There was a lot of upselling of various add-ons, which was a bit unsettling to me throughout the meal. And there were no kitchen add ons without fee as there are at other places.

Vibes were lovely, chill ambiance with nicely designed interiors. Quite cozy actually. The food was enjoyable but not particularly memorable. The most memorable thing was the unlimited bread, which I ate a lot of. I think I could've just eaten bread and been satisfied. Not sure if this is possible, but given the price point I might recommend coming for bread and a drink rather than a full meal.

We had a great experience and the service was outstanding. It was definitely an exquisite meal and I definitely recommend this place.

Our last night in Copenhagen deserved a notable visit to Marv og Ben. My boyfriend made us reservations in advance and we were looking forward to this restaurant to be the highlight of the trip. We arrived and were warmly greeted by the host. You can see the kitchen right as you walk in. We were taken to the upstairs floor, people were both dressed in casual attire but others maybe dressed up a bit more - either way, it was a relaxed atmosphere. We went with the Fast Four each, my boyfriend opted to include the wine pairing. True Nordic gastronomy. All from top tier ingredients from local small producers, which is always the way to go. Our waiter, Sebastian, was a GEM. He elevated our dining experience with his sense of humor, knowledge, and passion for food and wine. Thank you, Sebastian! My favorites: Chicken - romain lettuce - sage The bread bun and butter Pea shooter I can't think of the name, I'm telling you, peas in Denmark are so delicious and crunchy Least favorite: The cheese course We closed down the restaurant so it was special evening with great conversation, lovely service, and full bellies.

Really amazing experience. One of my favorite coursed dinners ever. The service was phenomenal. The espresso martinis were memorable. The wine list recommendations were on point. It is a quaint little spot where they clearly prioritize service over everything else. They told us they are not going for a Michelin star (tho I believe they are Michelin reccomended) because that would require them to change specific things like price and table spacing which they do not want to do. Great last dinner in Copenhagen. If you're on the fence about if it's worth it go for it you would regret it.

Marv & Ben was recommended to us by a couple of locals, and their high Google review rating caught my eye. Overall it's a nice, casual-yet-upscale dining experience with high quality food. The dishes were very pleasant and the bone marrow bread is uniquely tasty. Nothing that was very wow like you'd see at Michelin starred places, but nice enough to have a good time. Not to mention the ambiance was cozy and the service was friendly and efficient. The decor inside is really cool too. Drinks were good, and I'm impressed with their absinthe drink as it's normally hard to get an absinthe drink to be so sweet and easy to drink. One confusing part was the waiter asked us after we chose the 4-course meal, if we wanted the "snacks" option. We thought he said "they are free snacks", but after the meal it turns out he had said "three snacks" (not free) and we misheard. They came out to be about $20 USD/each so it was a surprise on the check. But they were really good snacks (amuse bouche style), I just wish it was more clear what they were and how much they cost. We spent $200 for 2 people which included a non-alcoholic pairing, 2 cocktails, and the "snacks" option. A bit much but we did go for many of the "options". Tip - ask them what Marv and Ben actually means!

Absolutely an amazing experience. Got the 6 course experience. The scallops were my favorite. Combined with the tomato sauce, they were so refreshing. The potato dish was a little weird. The fried potatoes were crunchy but with the cream, they were a little greasy. Loved the monkfish too! The dessert was delicious and very light. Upstairs was cozy and cute! The service was amazing too!

One of the better fine dining restaurants in Denmark for a reason. We got the meal set of course, but I totally forgot how many courses there were. We also added the wine pairing, truffle, and caviar. I thought this place was pretty expensive even on the fine dining side of things, but it was still worth it. The food was 10/10 accommodating to any type of dietary restrictions as well as food continuity and wine pairings. I think it was also very diverse in what they served you and how they created such simple tastes with complex techniques is very notable. The service was 10/10. Although it was a fine dining restaurant, we were still able to have a conversation and joke around with multiple waiters/waitresses that explained our food perfectly. They answered our questions about the food and why it was made this way. 10/10 experience all around.

The restaurant's design is definitely minimalist with simple blank walls and a comfortable mix of fake and real plants. There was no air conditioning but they found a fan to keep us comfortable- we were amazed that more folks in the full restaurant weren't sweating the way we were. Perhaps the locals are more used to the summer heat with no AC than we were. We had the 3-course prefixe meal with my my wife and daughter on the standard menu while I was on the vegetarian track. The website says that Host is the Danish word for harvest, and that their focus is "on the Scandinavian kitchen with lots of surprises." The staff used the word "surprises" explicitly, using it to describe the amuse-bouches and palette-cleansing bites served between the advertised courses. We started with a flight of croquettes with cheese and I think my wife and daughter had something like a smoked fish hash of some sort while by I had a delightful bite of salad on a molded sweet cookie tart shell. The baby bread loaves with a special butter were lovely - how do you innovate butter? Great job. My first veggie entree was fried carrots with horseradish, which was grand. Next I had a barley risotto with amazing brown beech mushrooms on top. Awesome. There was a spot of potato soup in there somewhere and the best bite of the meal was another of the surprises - a pre-dessert mochi-like shell with strawberry powder on the outside and hazelnut ice cream (I think???) on the inside. The strawberry rhubarb dessert was excellent also. Such a great meal. Loved it.

Located near old town Christiana, two Michelin star restaurant Kadeau Copenhagen is an offshoot of an original location in Bornholm. Much of the food and produce for this menu still comes from Bornholm, grounding the New Nordic, seafood-focused menu in a sense of place. I typically prefer an evening reservation, but lunch is what fit into my schedule on this day and I can't imagine a more perfect timing to see the ethereal, artistic dining room in the natural sunlight. The dining room reminded me a bit of being inside Musée de l'Orangerie's Waterlilies exhibit: it's a truly meditative setup. The service from start to finish is truly unreal, and rivals three star restaurants I have been to. Every small touch is made for you to enjoy your experience. Shout out to one of the chefs who tipped off the other restaurant I was dining at on the same day, who greeted me and asked me about my experience at Kadeau when I arrived there. I came for the start of Growing Season in May 2025. For this meal, I chose the non-alcoholic pairing, which I could not possibly recommend enough. It was hands down, the most perfect flavor pairing for the food I have ever had and each new drink was more inventive and fun than the last. The sourcing from Bornholm really played well here, as a lot of similar ingredients from a dish became part of the drink (lot of plum notes when I went). I think my favorites were the Japanese Quince, Hemp, and Honey (which had just a light effervescence) or the Apple and Unfiltered Bee Pollen drink. But honestly, I would go and do this meal all over again for the unreal drink pairing alone. I do a lot of fine dining and always enjoy my meals, but Kadeau was one of the first meals where I felt like I did not have a single bad or even middling bite out of the 15 courses. I have dietary restrictions (no red meat), but few dishes really required substitution. Each new dish was light, flavorful, nuanced, and so so delicious. The shrimps tart with quince and ants was a bit more adventurous than what I normally go for, but ended up being one of my favorite bites. The hot and cold smoked salmon was a dish I'll remember forever and I loved hearing that the chef moved from Las Vegas to Copenhagen just to learn how to make that dish. The plum "soft serve" with plum oil, vinegar, schnapps/ caramel, was such a great example of how inventive they could be with truly all of the elements that build flavor. It was a once in a lifetime meal. This is certainly an expensive meal, but in a city with a lot of tasty meals to choose from, Kadeau is one to truly remember.

Lots of shredded chicken but overall smooth and tasty. We crumbled the bacon to add some texture and that was even better. The marinated salmon was ok but we liked the nice pop of flavor from the pomegranate seeds. I may try to add them at home to my smoked salmon. The egg and shrimp smorrebrod was tastier. Needless to say, it was an amazing experience, to which we added Noma CPH, back in their homeland, to our ever-expanding Bucket List. Dining at Noma is not just for people who enjoy eating; it's so much more than that. It's an all-encompassing experience. It's the senses being activated and heightened. The sights, sounds, smells, tastes, and touch are awakened, and new discoveries are made. It's an absolute appreciation of the culinary world. It began with a taxi ride. The anticipation grew minute by minute as we peered out of the window, wondering, "Is that it over there?" Being tucked away in a former industrial setting and shipyard district, the seclusion from the city center gives you a sense of being far, far away in a distant land. After being warmly greeted, we were asked to enjoy a drink with several other guests in the greenhouse. From a bleak winter shipyard to the lush, beautiful, and characteristically Noma environment, our senses were being awakened. It only fueled our curiosity even more as to what lay ahead. From the greenhouse, there is a lighted pathway leading to the building where the magic continues. You can see and witness the current cold season leaving the landscape a brownish-gray with the winter season. The tall entrance door is adorned with mussel/mollusk shells. The texture and color are stunning and piqued our curiosity even further. Ocean Season (menu offering at the time of our reservation) was one of my favorite Noma seasons. The elements of the sea are brought into the space with draped seaweed, light wood, clean lines, and warm lighting. Service was exemplary, and the dishes and wine pairing were both delicious and eye-opening. There is also a juice pairing for those seeking a non-alcoholic option. One of my favorite desserts, which had been made in Kyoto in 2023 and 2024, is the ice cream made to look like an oyster. Phenomenal! After the completion of the residency in Los Angeles for the Noma LA 26 Pop-Up, which we thoroughly enjoyed as well, the crew has returned to Copenhagen for limited reservations. It was a nomadic restaurant full of innovation, one of a kind, and I was dying to try it! We flew to Copenhagen just for this meal so my expectations were very high. I also went with an open mind to try anything they put in front of me, because that's what it's all about, expanding your tastes and flavors. At least for me. The presentation not only looked spectacular but also tasted incredible. To my surprise, the first course was one of my favorites. I devoured it thinking it was steak but really was the heart of a deer. It was delicious. After that, all the courses that continued to arrive were just as impressive with unique flavor combinations and beautifully presented. We also did the wine pairing which I highly recommend. Top notch wines that paired perfectly with each course they brought. The staff is outstanding. From the moment you arrive you feel well taken care of, they receive your coat and take you to a waiting room where they offer you a tea before taking you to the table.
