We ordered all kinds of signature and recommended dishes. The only great price value were their makis. For 4€ you get 6 pieces work big chunks of fish. The karaage is absolutely disappointing and so was their unagi Don (eel don) for 40€. The spider roll was good, but not understanding. 14€ for four pieces is just too much. Overall it's an okay Place way overpriced.

Stopped by for lunch. The Donburi dishes and lunch menu's are reasonable priced. Naturally not as cheap as japan. But Vienna simply is more expensive. Very authentic restaurant. Tasty Katsudon.

Since the demise of some of the better sushi restaurants in Vienna, we are looking for a new place. This one attracted our attention, so we gave it a try. Short version: very decent sushi in an OK atmosphere. We made a reservation by phone and even when we arrived too early, our table was available. The service, while very kind, wasn't very fast. We ordered our dishes and the quality was good. The sushi was a pleasant change from a lot of other places as it featured scallops and other toppings, not always found on sushi. The tempura were very nice to eat too. As all the rest, prepared freshly and exactly right. The restaurant atmosphere is merely OK. We were seated in the middle, where the interior was a bit spartan. A place where we will likely return. It would be good when they would accept other credit cards too.

I've been there a few times and it never disappoints. Sashimi is always amazing and fresh, and the hot dishes with rice (donburi) are delicious (have tried the ten don and the katsu don so far, both really good). Service is always very attentive although not the fastest in town, but that's not a big problem if you're having a nice relaxed dinner. The gyoza is one of the best I've ever tried. Great variety of sake, warm and cold (I recommend the warm Ozeki Karatanba Honjozo).

The menu, cover is made out of wood. It includes a wide range of Japanese sake, beer and other drinks

The place is situated more like a café than a cocktail bar, but it allowed the seating to be a lot more accommodating to larger groups. The only problem was temperature control, as it was incredibly warm, with no air conditioning and only a large fan at the door. The drinks were refreshing enough, but not quite enough to beat the heat. The cocktails themselves weren't terribly unique, but they did use great ingredients, and all the flavors were very well-balanced. I got my usual old-fashioned, and tried the Moscow Mule and espresso martini. I really enjoyed the old-fashioned, and the espresso martini was very tasty. The service was very attentive, and were very quick about getting us our drinks. The prices were pretty expensive for the area at about 10 Euros each, but as they were strong and well-made, it wasn't too much of a problem. Considering that many of the bars in Vienna only served things like Long Island Iced Teas and random, hackneyed mixed drinks, it was a welcome sight. Likely the best cocktail bar in the area that isn't crowded to the brim. There were plenty of other bars nearby, but none had the repertoire and laidback atmosphere. You should definitely come here if you're looking for a good, bespoke cocktail. The best is always yet to come.

We got there super early (around 9PM), and the place was empty--as one expected on a Friday evening that early. To our surprise, and to our wallet's delight, 9-10Pm was happy hour that night; cocktails were 1/2 off. We both ordered long islands; usually I can't taste the alcohol in a long island, but the bartender had fixed us up with a generous amount of alcohol. Our bartender was dressed in head to toe black, including black skinny jeans, with a mop of shaggy dark hair; he floated around the bar looking more the part of a tortured artist than a bar tender, but he did fit the grungy-in-a-hip-way atmosphere. By midnight, the place was pretty packed with people. Groups of friends sat along the walls in faded yellow movie theater seats, around the bar in the center of the bar, and stood in clumps, chatting with heads cocked sideways and a drink in hand once all the seating areas had filled up. I didn't get the sense that this is a bar that gets raucous or overly crazy; the crowd was tame even when the bar filled up--this was in stark contrast to the bars we visited in Budapest. The music was good, but nothing too special. There were a few cool trap tracks dropped; luckily no dupstep or pop. Nothing really memorable though. Donau would definitely be a place to frequent if I lived in Vienna! Definitely check it out if you're in the city.
