Yum! After passing by a bunch of sparely populated restaurants late in the evening while walking around Barceloneta we saw this place. Menus posted outside and plenty of people inside. Plenty of stuff on the menu but we got the fixed menu and were very happy we did. It wasn't the best food of my life but we were happy. The service was fast and attentive. It was a cool evening out but there were plenty of heat lamps so it was still quite nice outside. They give you a not-so-secret champagne toast at the end which was a very nice touch. As typical in Spain, we got to relax and hang out, slowly finishing off our bottle of wine, then ask for the check. You better like seafood if you come here!

Yum! My sister and I were headed to the beach for the day and decided to stop here for lunch. We got calamari romano and salad to start and then shared this beef dish. The calamari rings were huge! And they were amazing. The breading was light and crisp and the squid itself was so tender and amazing. We chose this place after walking up and down the strip of restaurants and seeing that this place was one of the cheaper places. Service was relatively fast and the staff seemed pretty friendly.

A friend and I randomly came across this place at the beginning of our stay in Barcelona. We have been here for a month now, and it is still one of the best meals I have had during that time. We got a pitcher of sangria to share which was also one of the best that I've had. We sat outside during sunset which was beautiful, and the waiters were very nice. The pastas we ordered were incredible! Would recommend to anyone visiting the Barceloneta area.

While walking by the restaurant the owner came out and talked to us, he was so friendly and talkative we couldn't say no to him even tho we had just ate dinner some where else. We decided to just get some appetizers and drinks, best choice. Their sangria is phenomenal (I'm not even a wine drinker) we tried their jamón ibérico and some calamaris. I did noticed their sea paella on the menu but being that we had just ate dinner decided not to order. After our appetizers and liter of sangria we left, however I was curious on trying out the paella so on our last in Barcelona(we were only there for 3 nights) we decided to stop by BEST CHOICE EVERRRRRRR I've never had such a good paella before! Let me not forget to mention their staff who are beyond friendly and helpful with everything. Their prices are super reasonable and totally worth it. Definitely recommend this place to anyone look for some good sea food and sangria l.

After searching up and down Passeig de Joan de Borbo Conte de Barcelona for a reasonably priced restauarant, we finally did what we were looking for. Let me just start off by saying that as a tourist eager to try local cuisine, Port Vell served us one of the best tasting, best value seafood paella we've had in Barcelona. They have a popular 16.50 euro set meal that includes a generous portion of fresh salad, 0.5 L of sangria, and seafood/vegetarian paella. When shared with 3 people, they combined the portions to give us a huge pan of paella and pitcher of sangria. Just when we thought the value couldn't get any better, they offered us another free 0.5 L of sangria (but actually gave us 1 L) and a glass of complimentary champagne at the end of our meal. Service was great and friendly as well. I definitely recommend this place to local tourists as you won't be disappointed!

Don't let 3.5 starts fool you. This is the best food that I have so far in Spain. I stay here in Spain for 3 weeks and no where can match this restaurant in term of customer service and quality of food. The food is great, fresh, and the service is awesome. The owner greats and thanks us when we walk in the door. He offered us the most comfortable table. The waiters (yes multiple of them) was so friendly. We used to order a lot and they stop us and said "Just order that and see how you feel. You can always order more". We enjoy every single dish, and specially Sangria! When we finished our dinner, they cleaned up our table and brought out champagne "on the house" along with dessert menu. The must need to visit restaurant along the water if you in Barcelona. You can't go wrong!

Very flavorful and fast experience. Oxtail and mashed potatoes 10/10: the oxtail meet is so tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes pair so well with the oxtail. Mushroom, steak, and egg yolk 9/10: soo flavorful and balance of veggies and protein. Amazing textures and flavors. Sparkling sangria: 8/10 I don't normally live the taste of alcohol but this was great. Not tooooo strong and if tastes pretty good if you mix it with the orange juice. Fresh orange juice: 10/10 so tangy and delicious. I can't recommend it enough. Patatas bravas: 9/10 solid no complaints! Dessert Tapas: - bread dessert (Tarija): 11/10 amazing dessert that is creamy, cameralized, and has a mochi like texture. This fried chewy dessert is not too sweet and such an affordable price. - coconut pudding 9/10 solid and refreshing if you like flan - bread, chocolate oil, salt 7/10: I live the complex flavors. The chocolate mousse was light and the bread to mousse ratio was perfect. It's a smaller dessert tho I wouldn't recommend it if ur sharing. Service: amazing! The feta cheese was absolutely disgusting, it tasted like imitation rubber cheese. - The "Al Ajillo" Style Shrimps (GAMBES AMB ALLADA) had a very strange flavor within it, which overwhelmed the garlic flavors. - The Beef Tenderloin (FILET VEDELLA), she had to spit 1/4 of it out because it was too tough. - Everything was overpriced there for the value. I wanted one thing on this fine day, grilled seafood. I did a little looking and found this very popular spot with a line so I queued up. It's set up kinda like a mini fish market, bowls of fresh caught seafood sitting on ice, you choose which ones you want, how much you want, and how you want it prepared. I did come here twice and both times I landed between €50 to €60 so it's not cheap per se. I had their prawns, langoustine, scallop, and octopus all styled a la plancha with some salsa verde and olive oil drizzled over top. Everything was incredible. I genuinely have no nitpicks because there's nothing to nitpick. The seafood was fresh as can be, the garlicky salsa verde and lemon wedge made it nice and vibrant as well. The seafood was perfectly grilled. If I had to choose one though the langoustine was my favorite. It's very delicate in texture and flavor with a nice bit of sweetness in the meat. Next time I'm in Barcelona I will go out of my way to stop here again.

We arrived just after lunch opening and were the first customers. The guy at the counter was... efficient. He simply told us to pick what we wanted, tossed it in a bin, and that was that. No explanation of pricing or preparation methods. When we asked how they'd cook it, he casually offered "fried or grilled." Obviously, we chose grilled--why fry fresh seafood? We picked two giant prawns, two octopus tentacles, and two fish (since hubby can't have shellfish). He asked if we wanted salad or soup--reviews hyped the soup, so we went with that. Then he handed us a receipt, told us we were order #3, and sent us to the bar. At the bar, we ordered two sangrias and a water. The bartender asked if we wanted bread and sauce. Sure, why not? We assumed they were included. Surprise! The tiny baguettes cost €0.50 each, and the mystery "house sauce" (a questionable mix of thousand island and horseradish) was an extra €1. We only realized the charge when we saw the total: €73. Oh well, too late now. Then came the food pickup experience--chaotic, to say the least. The server practically barked at us to bring our receipt, aggressively crossed off items, and handed over soups and octopus, crammed onto a greasy tray. No effort at plating, just food haphazardly dumped onto plates. The second round--grilled fish and prawns--was more of the same. Now, the verdict: Soup (5/5) - Delicious and reasonably priced at €6. Would order again. Bread & Sauce (0/5) - Not free, not worth it. Hard pass. Octopus (€31.80 for two tentacles, 1/5) - Overpriced, greasy, and drowning in molten salt. Basically, eating a sodium bomb. Grilled Fish (€10.50 & €8.50, 3/5) - Decent, but unnecessarily oily. Grilled Prawns (€5.59, 0/5) - Mushy, not fresh, and borderline inedible. Final thoughts? Not worth it. With so many incredible food spots in Barcelona, why waste your meal quota here? If you want quality seafood, go to Cervecería Catalana--we spent €5 more, but a meal a thousand times better. Spend wisely and eat like a king.

Two of us picked 5 types of seafood, a salad and a fish soup. We tried the sangria as our drinks. Everything is beyond fantastic! We would highly recommend this seafood gem to all our friends. Here are a few tips for the first timers: 1) The workers at the order area don't understand English well. We pointed at the seafood for ordering. 2) Recommended to have the fish soup over mixed salad as an appetizer. The fish soup is made with lots of fish and ginger; and it carries so much flavor. 3) The mussels are a must-have and are so cheap (Under 10 Euros for huge portions). It's recommended to prepare in two ways: white wine and tomato sauce 4) The La Paradeta sauce (I e. A green basil sauce) goes very well with shrimps and razor clams. 5) The fried calamari was so delicious and perfectly paired with drizzles of lemon juice. Yet, it's so expensive (24 Euros for a very small portion). It doesn't feel as worth it as compared to something like lobsters (29 Euros/single lobster). 6) I noticed many people ordered a bottle of wine instead of Sangria. Will need to try next time!

We ordered the following: - organic potatoes bravas - palamós shrimp croquettes - Confit octopus finished on the grill, smoked paprika oil, osmosed orange, fennel, black olive - Beef tenderloin, green peppercorn jus, crispy confit potatoes, grilled zucchini - Homemade Truffle Raviolis in a creamy truffle sauce with Parmesan and sage - 2 glasses of Rosé Everything we had here was DELICIOUS but the homemade truffle ravioli was out of this world! Best dish we tried... hands down. If there's one dish you have to order from Sensi, it's the white truffle ravioli! Our least favorite dish was actually the potatoes bravas unfortunately. It was still good but we were not the biggest fans of the orange sauce. Usually we really enjoy the bravas though. We found the potatoes were kind of dry too, compared to other restaurants we ordered this from. The shrimp croquetas were amazing, as well. The filling is puréed and the prawn flavor is quite strong. This is a close second favorite dish of ours. The octopus/pulpo was tender & paired with orange. It was a different take; very light and fresh. Service was good, no complaints here. At the end of our meal, we were given complimentary lemon shots! Amazing. Would come back again ;)
