Stopped in for a pizza and it was just enough for the two of us. We also ordered 2 green salads, that with a beer and a water was $60. The pepperoni was really good.

Spinach stuffed ravioli in a butter sauce. Didn't taste like homemade pasta.

After a few days in Switzerland noshing exclusively on Swiss food, our palates and tummies needed a break. Italian food is supposed to be delicious in Switzerland, so we decided to give Rossini a go. As with most places in the country, the most memorable aspect of the meal was its high price tag (our lunch -- LUNCH!! -- clocked in at around $90 in U.S. currency...as always, pay in Francs to save a little money). We ordered a small carafe of the house red wine (pretty awful, unfortunately) and a bottle of water. Of course the wine was cheaper than my water, and this is one of those places that refuses to serve you free tap water. Why is this usually the case in European restaurants? It drives me crazy! We ordered a plate of bruschetta as an appetizer, a pizza, and the special pasta of the day. The bruschetta was ho-hum but the fresh crusty bread (it was basically a piece of cooked pizza crust) was a nice base for the lackluster tomatoes. The pasta, which was a spinach stuffed ravioli in a butter sauce, was bland and didn't taste like it was homemade pasta (all of the ravioli were the exact same size, never a good sign). The pizza was a huge letdown and wasn't very good at all. It was lacking in both cheese and sauce, and the crust could've been done a few minutes more. This was a really disappointing meal overall, especially for the price. The service was efficient and friendly, which I appreciated.

Upon entering the picturesque city of Lucerne, we were famished and suffering from jet lag of immense proportions. After walking around the riverfront (How could you not? It's simply stunning!), we stumbled upon this Italian bistro in city center. We were seated at a table of six and within minutes we had our wine, baskets of bread, bruschetta and my garden salad. Opting to sit inside, we had an outstanding view to the lively city life. We finally began to unwind from a long day, as we dined on brick oven prepared pizzas, spinach cannoloni, lasagna and tiger prawn topped noodles. After the meal was completed, we strolled back to our hotel blissfully slipping into a "carb coma" and regroup for tomorrow's excursions. Restaurant Rossini was our first fortuitous encounter in Switzerland.

Lunch of gnocchi Genoese and prosecco. Pillowy bites, great bread along with, no attitude about a lone American woman. Highly enjoyable.

Therefore, I can't. On the second night of sleeping at this hotel, I noticed that I had uncontrollable itching on my arms and back, but discounted the issue as just a few bug bites. Fast forward to my third day, I had even more bites on my body with even more discomfort and itching. The itching wasn't a fun experience in winter especially when you have layers of clothing on and are trying to itch your way through 2 jackets. On my last day at this hotel, I noticed dozens upon dozens of bites across my entire body. I also had uncontrollable itching and burning from the scratching. My mother (who shared the same room with me) had the same problem, too. Her bites were primarily on her back. Upon looking at the white sheets, I noticed several blood spots scattered around, which is typically a sign of bed bugs feeding. This incident has caused us severe discomfort on our travels back to the United States. Not only that, we will have to treat all of our luggage with high heat to eradicate any larvae or live bed bugs. As for the the continental breakfast, I thought it was disappointing. We only ate the breakfast one out of the four days of our stay. That was largely in part of the bad food. My last complaint was that our espresso machine in our room didn't work. It only spewed out hot water. I wish I could have rated this hotel higher because the suite we stayed in was beautiful. Unfortunately, the cleanliness standards were a major issue.

There were so many amenities available - like their sauna, gym, and infinity pool. We could have just stayed at the hotel for the entire week without leaving! They even had an in-house movie theatre. My favorite one was their French restaurant. Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was outstanding. My husband and I would love to come back here again the next time we are in Europe.

When we saw that the raid was blocked we called them from their entrance if they could open the barrier & let us pass cause the road was extremely narrow & impossible for us to back up & NOT safe at all, we even had young kids in our car! But they very sternly refused to open the barrier which forces us to back up our car which couldn't have lead us all to fall off the cliff!! They're very very rude, not cooperative, & definitely not tourist friendly!

Yelp Review 2026 #87:…read more Looking at Google Maps, this hotel seems like it's right outside Luzern Hauptbanhof but it's actually not. It's at least a 7-minute walk from the station which is not bad. The hotel we wanted to stay at was fully booked and next best thing was Radisson Blu. It's tuck behind the station in a quieter area. As much as I want to find things to hate about this hotel, I just can't because the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. As an introvert, it takes a lot for me to joke around with random people and starting from the front desk, I felt at ease. I was minding my own business checking out their robot butler, Jeeves and the concierge was telling me all about it in a non-annoying way. So, we started joking around and laughing and the front desk crew joined in. What a good first impression! We got upgraded to a bigger room with a view of Lake Luzern. I thought I had already posted pictures from this hotel before deleting them but I'm now realizing I most certainly did not! But the room was very spacious. Plenty of room even with 2 large suitcases, shopping bags, totes, and 2 backpacks. The bed was very comfy. I took well-rested naps in the afternoon and 8 hours of deep sleep at night. They have a decent gym. There's a restaurant at the ground floor to the right of the lobby. A few of elevators. The weather in Switzerland in May can be sunny and cool to cloudy and rainy or just downpour for half a day. I packed a poncho, a rain jacket, and a winter coat for when I go to the mountains. I refuse to bring an umbrella. Some hotels in Switzerland have umbrellas free to their guests, some you have to rent, some don't offer umbrellas at all. So, in my years of travel experience, I learned to be self-reliant and pack what I could need. The toiletries didn't smell bad but it wasn't my favorite. It was generic. Free bottles of water daily not that we needed it because Swiss tap water is the best. It's parallel to a walking path. Some restaurants outside. Close to KKZ. In short, we had a great stay here.

It was nice to wake up to a beautiful view daily. There are a couple of reasons why I'm giving them a 4 star review versus a 5. We never received wash cloths the entire time we were there. Is there a shortage of wash cloths? The shower/bathtub doesn't drain very well unless you totally remove the stopper. The duvet cover on the bed doesn't hang over the sides. It's as if it's too small for the size of the bed. Fortunately, the bed was comfortable. I did like the fact that there were 2 pairs of slippers. We had a Nespresso coffee machine in the room. Our housekeeper always had the room cleaned in good time. We never actually saw the housekeeper. There's a robot named Jeeves who can deliver snacks and drinks to your room. Perhaps I should have called Jeeves to deliver some wash cloths. Other than that, it was a good 4 star hotel stay. I think the high Swiss rate is for the location. We couldn't have asked for a better location.
