We ate lunch on the patio which has a more limited menu, but we had a great meal here with stellar views. When visiting the Alhambra, there are plenty of little shops to get snacks and sandwiches on the go. But if you want a real meal there are just a view options. This one was great for us because the patio is shaded by these beautiful trees yet still has great views of the Generalife. I tried the Spanish Omelette because I hadn't had one yet, and I loved it, everyone else at our table loved it too. My brother tried their local beer and really enjoyed that, while the rest of us had sangria which was lovely. Their olives that we shared had a great flavor as well. The waiters were attentive and accommodating. You pay at the barista stand when you're ready to go. Of course you can always eat at the restaurant inside as well, you have a better selection of food, but you don't get the beautiful views. read more

Somehow, Europe has not embraced the culture of Yelp and flocks by the thousands instead to Google reviews. Nonetheless, this excellent establishment deserves recognition, and hopefully will catch the stray eye of an American in Granada. Located in the historic Parador hotel, this restaurant provides excellent food, an unbelievable price, and a historic ambiance that puts your meal at the crossroads of Nasrid Moor and Castilian cultures on the steps of the final fortress against the Reconquista. I want to highlight the Nasrid tasting menu (39€, $40 Jan 2025), as well as its guided printed menu (see photos). After a succulent soup amuse-bouche, this guided tour de force began with a rich, saffron and spice soup filled with meat and grains. Accompanying this was a poultry briwat filled with minced meat, dates and raisins, all surrounded by a flaky pastry. Following was a spicy crusted sea bass atop vegetables that paired perfectly and was incredible. A somewhat unremarkable stewed veal proceeded but this was cut with sour apple and aubergine for an excellent combination. Finally a boiled fruit, pastry, and myrtle-berry ice cream (made from berries harvested from the trees surrounding the Alhambra) completed the meal with a light decadence. It is criminal this restaurant wasn't filled to the brim the Sunday night we attended. This tasting menu is easily worth at least $125 - if not $200 - rather than a paltry $40 we paid. While the exchange rate and season were in our favor, this is unquestionably one of the greatest value finds in my Yelp career. A special word must also be made for the Childrens menu - where for 16€ a child can have a generous four course meal of their own - complete with two scoop ice cream sundae. Language barrier notwithstanding, the service was polite and attentive. I encourage all visitors to stroll around the historic Parador hotel as well to find amazing views of the Generalife, a well preserved cloister, and the original burial site of Isabella of Castile and Ferdinand of Aragon, founders of Spain. History beneath your feet. Restaurante del Parador, and in particular its established Nasrid tasting menu, is a tour de force and a must-visit for anyone looking for an unforgettable taste of the last morsels of Moorish Spain at an incredible price. The food was fine. The service was not good. The server was barely cordial. She delivered the first part of my meal (which was part of the tasting menu,) to my brother, and he didn't realize it was mine until he was about halfway through it. When we flagged her down and asked her if it was correct that it was part of my meal, she said yes, shrugged her shoulders and walked away. No apology or offer to replace it. We had to wait over an hour for our food. Thank goodness we weren't in a huge hurry. I am not a picky person when it comes to service. I can count on one hand the number of times in my life I have been disappointed with the service in a restaurant of any type, and this was one of those times. read more

One of the things that makes staying on the hotel such a pleasure is dinner at the restaurant. As for breakfast, the coffee and the service are both fantastic; the fact that the hot foods must be ordered is a bit of a pain; your correspondent also isn't partial to the way the Spaniards fry an egg. We had dinner at this restaurant during our stay at the Parador Hotel. Weather was good so we had dinner in the terrace. It is a very quite atmosphere with nice lighting and good service. I give it 4 starts because it needs some ambience music, perhaps classic or instrumental would complement well. The food was excellent, I ordered the "Nasrid Menu" as I wanted to try different plates; everything was delicious ! My husband ordered the "Grilled veal tenderloin with goat cheese sauce from Montefrio"; it was exquisite!!!. This place was amazing. Stumbled upon it after touring Alhambra after sunset. We got there 5 minutes before the kitchen closed and the staff was still welcoming. We had veil and octopus and both were absolutely amazing. They were perfectly tender and full of flavor. Both were garnished and infused with various herbs that were taken from the herb garden growing around the restaurant itself. The herbs gave flavors we'd never eaten before. It was absolutely amazing. We ordered a mixed dessert plate, which included a number of local Andalusian desserts and beyond. It was delicious. The restaurant ambience is amazing. We sat outside in the garden with a view of Alhambra's General Life. It was very breathtaking and worth a visit for itself. All in all, one of the best meals I've ever had! read more

Good double Espresso, real Red Tea, a Pepito de Ternera, which is a warm veal grilled sandwich, and a Gratinado de Membrillo, which are two broiled toasts of quince jelly and goat cheese, both delicious. Prices are on the upper end, but for a nice meal inside La Alhambra is worth it. Would have to come back and try a full menu to properly rate it. read more
