Stopped in or some dinner tonight, here for 1 night on my way back to the States. First I ordered the Tortilla soup which was excellent.
There was something in it that resembled a prune and I was wondering what the hell is prune doing in my Tortilla soup. My curiosity got the best of me so I cut it in half and popped a piece in my mouth. Then the heat set in, it wasn't a Prune after all it was a Chipotle Pepper. Anyway the soup had avocado and some chunks of Mexican Cheese in it, highly recommended.
For my first course I had the Shrimp Dorado which was pretty tasty too. The dish had 5 huge Prawns stuffed with Chihuahua cheese and wrapped with bacon. The restaurant seems to be lacking in atmosphere so I had to dock them a star.
This place is really popular with the locals, you won't find too many gringos here. read more
