Any tortilla or bread product used in the breakfast dishes are baked/prelared on site, daily. Coffee: generous cup served with real cream on the side, and there are two styles: American and Cafe Olla. The cafe olla is prepared with chocolate and cinnamon, it comes slightly sweet so nothing else but cream needed and it is just delicious. Fresh fruit: prepared daily, perfectly ripe. All juices are FRESHLY SQUEEZED daily. I mean, just pure goodness with minimal pulp, and it's so refreshing. And fresh fruit is pushed here. When we were at the table, a girl came by with a fruit cart (see picture) offering a promo: if you order a large juice, get a fruit cup for 85 cents. See the pic, it was a serious fruit cup with cantaloupe, pineapple, mango, papaya, strawberry, grape and a lime wedge...and all perfectly ripe. Plates: just check out the menu. There is a focus on regional specialties, so queso Panela and sweet corn tamales/tortillas are seen frequently. The salsas are different here, than in northern Mexico on the border. There is a focus on the SAVORY, not so much on SPICY, yet there is still kick. I, as an El Pasoan, find it to be more balanced than some northern dishes...and that could accurately describe food here; it is well balanced. There are many dishes that are sweet, spicy, savory, soft and crunchy, and all at the same time. Flavors and textures abound. Bakery: The pictures here do not do it justice. What you see is a fraction of what they make. Remember the fruit cart? Well, check out the cake/pie cart photo. ALL of it is made in-house. I mean, they must employ an entire ARMY of Betty Crockers to churn out the massive amounts of baked goods that they produce on daily basis. Must. See. For. Yourself. Well, this is one of those places. My wife and I came here twice for breakfast (YOU MUST TRY THE "enchiladas de requesón y queso de cabra" - light, yet abundantly flavorful and satisfying) and once for dinner - My wife said her shrimp burger was to die for. We shared the tuna tostadas, incredibly fresh, and I had the "pasta fusilli" with mushrooms; cooked perfectly al dente and carries explosive flavor). The ambiance is very inviting, with music overhead and a good cocktail list in case you're looking for a good place to start your night of galavanting. My curiosity got the best of me so I cut it in half and popped a piece in my mouth. Then the heat set in, it wasn't a Prune after all it was a Chipotle Pepper. Anyway the soup had avocado and some chunks of Mexican Cheese in it, highly recommended. For my first course I had the Shrimp Dorado which was pretty tasty too. The dish had 5 huge Prawns stuffed with Chihuahua cheese and wrapped with bacon. The restaurant seems to be lacking in atmosphere so I had to dock them a star. This place is really popular with the locals, you won't find too many gringos here.

We also ordered a few flan which were perfectly made; so creamy and delicate: just the right amount of sweet. The enchiladas were balanced and the presentation was appetizing. The fettuccini was classically delicious. What a breathe of fresh air after several very sub par meals in several towns on our way. We're optimistic for the faire in Sinaloa. Very satisfied! The service has been excellent as well. Love that they are compassionate about us English speakers!
