If a local doesn't let you in on this secret hidden gem, there's no way you'll stumble upon it. It sits in the middle of a residential neighborhood and there's no signs telling you what's inside. The outside is nothing special and I'd never give it a second look. The inside isn't much to brag about but the food is fantastic! I pretty much ordered the whole menu which isn't had to do! It's a very simple no-fuss menu. I had carne asada tacos, chorizo sope, rice and beans, and the everything pupusa. I'm pretty picky with my carn asada tacos I'm so tired of chewy steak...the steak had a nice flavor and was tender. The popusa were so yummy, I'm obsessed with the pickled slaw that they brought out with it. Rice was different but very good. I loved everything that I ate!

Excellent Mexican food! It's like eating in your grandmother's Mexican Kitchen. The other thing to note is that the menu here changes daily. Even though there's a picture of a menu on Yelp I have never seen it . The waitress just tells you what they cooked that day. I had been hearing through the Latin community about this hidden place that is as close to home cooking as you're ever going to get. The flautas are fantastic. Everything is homemade. One downside or upside depending on how you look at it. Don't bother going unless you're with somebody who speak Spanish. The upside is that weeds out this place from ever getting too commercial. By the way there's no signage so the only way you'll know it said is if you go to the corner of where it's located and look for the Big Orange house

Love the Salvadorian food and of course the pupusas! Great place in the heart of the neighborhood.

Checked out this restaurant on a weeknight for dinner. We easily got a table even though they were…read morea little busy. The customer service was great and the food was really good. I wasn't too impressed with the vegetable dumplings (lacked some flavor), but the pad see ew with chicken was very flavorful. We requested a spice level of 3, but that was not spicy at all. I would probably try a 4 next time if you can handle the spice. Highly recommend this place!

He made me a really good skinny margarita with Tajín rim, he even suggested good tequilas to try! The chips and guacamole were amazing! I was a little disappointed that they don't have a queso appetizer. I tried the beef sope which was pretty good. I got the Michoacán fajitas and even though he did tell me that they use some of their Thai sauce in them, I did not like it. It was very sweet and had a weird flavor. I much prefer traditional fajita seasoning, so keep that in mind when you are ordering. It is a very large portion for the price so expect leftovers! The beef was definitely overcooked and dry. Even though these items weren't marked as gluten free I assumed they were because I got corn tortillas but I did end up having a reaction so I should have clarified better before ordering. He let me try all the salsas - mild was no spice and honestly not much flavor, medium was very spicy and hot was basically inedible for me. I did not try the Thai food, but might if I am ever back in the area. As for ambiance there isn't much to be honest. The bar was sad. All the liquor just sitting on metal wire racks with no actual bar or shelves. The restaurant furniture all looks old and needs to be updated.
