Yelp is total BS both of our negative results are TOTALLY unfounded. I wish it was an equal opportunity forum and could report the way these people have treated us I would love it! Most customers don't have a business . We cleaned Jodi's mothers place perfectly even after they took items back which we had agreed we purchased in the clean out. As far as Kathy M. we sold a couch to her neighbor with consent of the storage facility, then the facility locked the customer out and charged Kathy for the removal, and extra days, the very situation the storage facility wanted, I would think her beef should be with the storage company BUT....whatever Yelp is a bottom feeder crap platform!! read more

Great place to get lost in let's remember. So many cool and unique things. You can spend an entire day here and still not see everything. Three floors of treasures to be found, buried treasures that is. The place is packed to the gills with not much rhyme or reason, which makes it fun for me. Few items are marked, but, prices are flexible and negotiable. Unique items, great finds and lots of ketchy collectibles. tons of unopened boxes to dig through and find the something you've been looking for for decades. You name it this place has it. Right before the main drag in Putnam, Ma. Stop in and greet the friendliest dog D'jango and chat with the owner. We encouraged him to practice his auction skills and got a great deal. read more

Not your typical antique store, and that's OK. Sure, it's far from tidy and nothing is tagged, but if you like doing furniture rehab or searching for funky, old gems, this place is worth checking out. read more

I am writing this review of restoration 51, and John Gee. John and I made a verbal agreement to purchase the contents of my mother's estate, all items, we agreed to a certain price and date that all items needed to be moved by. he did not keep to the terms of our agreement, and that cost the estate more money. when i asked to be paid the purchase price he told me to come back later that day. i showed him receipts for the added expense and him to be responsible for it; he refused. i insisted and he told me the deal was off, I could have everything back and he was charging me to store it. what kind of business person treats customers this way? Very poor customer service. My mother passed away and, as an auctioneer, he agreed to come and clean out the apt and pay us a small fee for the furniture. He said he would remove EVERYTHING and vacuum when he was done. Problem was he never completed the job. We were told he needed 3 days (thurs, fri, Sat) to have apt cleared out. Not done. My brothers called multiple times and was promised it would be done but was never completed. The apt complex had a firm deadline when we needed everything cleared out and because of Restoration 51's broken promises, we passed that deadline. If we would have known, we could have taken care of it but we trusted him to follow through. By the time we realized he wasn't going to follow through, we had all flown back to our respective homesteads leaving a big mess behind. My brother had to complete the process of clearing out apt and cleaning it a full week after John Gee promised he and his men would get it done. read more

the people are so extremely rude, the store is an absolute mess. there is hardly walking room, and things and just piled on top of each other. the only good part about going here is there is a very sweet dog who likes to be pet inside. i definitely won't be going back here. read more
