Owner is pushy and rude. There are so many other country stores in the area with friendlier shop keepers.

Absolutely NONE of what was offered here was antique when we went. We went and it's all brand new "rustic" furniture with financing options like an ordinary furniture store. No antiques, no thrifting, no second hand. There's AI printed slop on pre-bought wooden planks that you can get at like Jo'anne's. Can't even pay an artist or use copyright free images from official sources. Christmas decorations were all brand new, stuff I'd see at Homegoods. They had kitchen cloths that are just BRAND NEW printed on using a cricut or something similar. Not like random mix match from people bringing them in/donating. They claim they sell antiques, and it's tagged as a thrift store and second-hand, but that's false advertising from everything we saw. I was incredibly disappointed. The staff also seemed to look at us like we're some sort of shady people, which was incredibly insulting and bizarre to me. We were all dressed okay, we're honestly a group of nerds that went in because we're interested in antiques, we don't exactly look like someone trying to steal. Not a group of teenagers. Not a group carrying a bunch of backpacks or hoods up and prepared to shove something away. I sincerely hope it's not due to my boyfriend being black, but they didn't seem to track any of the other customers (mostly all white couples looking at the furniture.) This is one of the first and only times I'm leaving a review because generally I support small business, and I understand when things are rough and most of the time 1 star reviews are typically from entitled people with a lack of empathy. But the false advertising was truly disappointing, the AI art disgusting, and then being looked at like we're potential criminals was incredibly insulting. Please remedy this by removing false advertising and I'd happily change my review at least a star or two for that. Even better if y'all get rid of the AI. I doubt I'll be dropping in ever again to see if staff behavior changes but from other reviews I've seen it looks like it hasn't only been us with similar issues with staff treating people poorly. At max if everything else were fixed, I'd give it a 3 stars. read more

I stopped by The Rusty Relic store in Mystic Village with my family. Within 5 seconds of entering the store, a "male Karen" was in a panic because my 6 year old son had a 10" twig he picked up from outside on the grass and brought it into the store. He was worried he was going to damage the furniture. respecting his wished I took thr twig away and continued to check out the inventory . 30 seconds later the same "Male Karen" reprimanded me because my 10 year old daughter sat on a stool that we were thinking about purchasing. After dealing w this D Bag I took my family and my $$$ out of this store for good. Apparently, Karen thinks hes selling furniture on Madison Avenue in NYC to the 1% ers. Id rather drive to Lancaster PA myself than give Karen 1 red cent. Two thumbs down read more

Our experience has been been horrible. We ordered an island and two chairs, on New Years Eve. It's now mid July, and we still don't have the whole set. First, the set was delivered after three months with no chairs and the wrong top. Then they delivered an unacceptable, multi colored top full of holes. They then delivered the wrong chairs because "these are better than the ones you ordered". We wanted the ones we ordered. Well, almost 7 months later we are still waiting. There has been zero communication from Jason or his wife. We have been yelled at, lied to and sworn at by the owners. We always try to buy from small businesses, but this is a great example why people shop big box stores. read more

Make sure you open and thoroughly inspect your purchase of curtains BEFORE YOU BUY!!! Otherwise you may leave with only one panel of curtains rather than two. Save yourself the inconvenience of having to return the missing, incomplete product. ALWAYS ASK FOR A PRINTED RECEIPT. It is ridiculously expensive. Owners are very rude. read more

Came here during a family vacation and it mostly sells vastly overpriced crap. They just buy junky mass produced furniture and other junk and mark it up. Also seems like the owners try very hard (and fail) to look like a pottery barn. There is nothing special about this place other than it's vast markups. Just do what they do and buy your own junk at walmart. read more

I walked in with my wife and two older children who are very well behaved. Upon walking in the store, the worker who I believe is the owner, followed us around as if we shouldn't be in the store. My wife and I were strongly considering buying one of the tables they had in the store. We also saw a corner table that caught our eye. I opened one of the doors to see the inside storage with my son next to me. My son touched the same cabinet I did within inches of me, the owner rudely said don't let him touch that. It immediately caught us all off guard on how short and rude he was, implying that my son would break it and if he did we couldn't afford it. My kids were never left unattended in the store and did not touch anything else. Once the owner addressed us with the tone he used, we walked out immediately. We will no longer consider this store for future purchases and will also be telling our friends with and without children to not shop here. I would highly recommend staying away from that store and the rude owner. read more

Wow, this store is awesome! the furniture is top quality from Lancaster PA and I love the classic home decorations they have. Such a great variety, its hard to chose from. The staff and owners wonderful and very accommodating with delivery on our order. Can't wait to visit there Woodstock Ct store, hear its a big place. Can't recommend this place enough to my family and friends. read more

This is such a nice antique store. All items presented in a beautifully decorated store. Owner was pleasant and helpful. Even called his South Woodstock store to see if they had an item we were looking for. Purchased a large antiqued milk jug for our front yard. Make sure you add this store to your next antiquing day. I'm looking forward to visiting his South Woodstock store the next time I get to that area of the state. read more
