Funny place, full of regulars with no destinations, locals for a quick Cuppa, and Bridgewater State University students all in a refitted and very old type of retail store from the 1920s on a block next to the town square. Prices are more than reasonable. The selection of drinks and pastry are wide. Service is pretty awesome too, as I did not feel like I was walking into Twin Peaks. Prices are very good too. One of my favorite coffee shops around! Restoration Coffee in downtown Bridgewater is a great local coffee shop with a good menu of coffee drinks and food options perfect for breakfast or lunch. My go-to coffee order is usually their dark roast with just cream in it but sometimes when I'm feeling like something a bit more extravagant their latte options come through in a big way. The cinnamon maple latte with oat milk is excellent and the seasonal options that the baristas come up with including a blueberry maple latte or snickerdoodle latte can't be beat. For breakfast, the Garden Bagel is the way to go in my estimation. Cream cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and cream cheese on an everything bagel brings a fresh brightness to your morning meal. If feeling like something a bit more, the sausage, egg and cheese can't be beat, either. Lunchtime options include a number of panini options and one with turkey, mozzarella, pesto and tomatoes is the winner in my book. Pastries are brought in from Pan D'Avignon while the muffins are baked in-house. The staff at Restoration is what keeps you coming back each time. Great people who are both friendly and attentive bring a real, local coffee shop vibe to Restoration and loyal customers and new customers are welcomed to the shop thanks to the caring staff. There's always some good music playing at Restoration and the WiFi is strong making it a nice spot to grab a coffee and get some work done, even. Great way to start the morning. Wonderfully polite staff and inviting cafe atmosphere. Cushioned and wooden seating areas were available, with side tables and even a chess board. I ordered an iced caramel coffee with almond milk along with a sausage, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel. The coffee was made just right, great size for the large as well. The sandwich was the true star, the half cut made it easy to eat, the cheese was melted with the hot egg and sausage. Great flavor and seasoning! This is my favorite local café. Their sandwiches and pastries are tasty, their lattes are lovely, and the atmosphere is restful. I can always count on this place to get work done or meet up with friends. Staff is friendly and make every effort to engage with you. They take the extra effort to remember you, what kinds of drinks and food you like, and are very warm and welcoming. I'm a Honey Dew and Dunkin' regular and don't typically spend more than $6-$8 on coffee and a breakfast sandwich or wrap so $19 (incl. tax and tip) was a real splurge but was it ever worth it! I got an iced raspberry mocha latte with oat milk and the turkey, apple, Brie, and fig panini. Both were amazing! I could easily get used to this but I might have to limit it to a once a week treat. read more
