I wanted to do another review on Dr. Gwenyth Jones. I've been going to her for Gel shots for my osteoarthritis in my knees. The shot I'm taking is working very well. I've done 5 in one n knee and 5 in the other. There is another business that didn't wrk for me and this one did since day 1. I've been getting 1 shot in my knee at the other place. The five works really well. I feel like I've won the lottery since I can't have knee surgery. Also, I'm starting a diet plan with her. too. Very excited! There is compassion and kindness in the Dr's and their staff. Very good people. Highly recommend. I'm so glad I tried them. read more

This place has some shady business practices and terrible customer response. I went in for 4 treatments and my wife went in as well, they said it was covered by insurance, they never charged me. Then I start receiving bills in the mail and final notices months after they are unable to figure out their billing process. I call and talk to one person who tells me the last bill I received was a mistake. Then today I have yet ANOTHER final NOTICE that I owe suddenly 3400.00 + dollars. I call and leave a message asking for a call back multiple times, NO RESPONSE. I don't know why I am being ignored. And what really confuses me is after they say don't worry about the billing, you would think if they wanted me as a patient they would setup a new time to see the doc, no, no retention, no communication. I have been polite and respectful and now I am getting upset. I guess I have to report these people to the BBB or something. It is frustrating and a lot could be solved with some simple communication. I hope their manager sees this and responds. read more

This doctor is in a league of her own! Having been an athlete all my life, as I advance in age other providers have assumed that my body-wide pain was due to "normal" aging - DESPITE my imaging that didn't support this assumption. This WONDERFUL doctor actually knows how to assess the body with highly unique and expert palpation techniques that I have experienced from no one else. Her targeted, therapeutic approach with her remarkable (and now proven) therapies can then support the body's ability to heal. FINALLY someone who GETS IT! After seeing a gazillion providers, I know when I am in the presence of someone remarkably gifted, and rare, like Dr. Works. Plus, I really enjoy her bedside manner! There are a couple reviews here (VERY small minority) that are really misguided, and I can't help but comment to those as well. First, I too had a doctor whose poor judgement had me on pain meds which I chose to stop. Doctor Works has serious healing SKILL beyond picking up a script pad, so it's really best to go elsewhere for the drugs that previous providers have prescribed. Plus, it's only a select few DO's I have found in my long quest, who have chosen a more focused hands-on practice. Those who do are uniquely gifted (and rare.) Generalized docs simply don't have the time for such deep body work experience. Also, Dr. Works and her office staff are exceptionally helpful and compassionate - your kindness and gratitude (not impatience) will go a long way to resolving reasonable misunderstandings that I suspect can happen in any business, particularly such a deeply personal one - there really is no "one size fits all" medical practice. I have found that when efficiency is valued over patient care, no one really wins, except maybe the insurance companies. read more

I have seen Dr. Klein and Dr. Works, I can not say enough about them and what they do. if your hurting and not sure where to go this is it. I have some chronic back issues and recently had a knee issue and both are feeling almost normal. injections help further your recovery, don't be afraid to make that call, you won't be sorry you did. read more

I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Works. I have had knee pain since my early years in high school. I have had Arthroscopic Knee surgery in both my knees. Lasted 30yrs. Started having pain and knees starting giving out again. Did some research and found Dr. Works and her reviews were amazing. She treats you with respect and did not start out with "You need to lose weight" speech. With every knee injection I received the more relief I got. She is truly amazing in her ability to treat a variety of chronic and acute musculoskeletal conditions using several modalities including fascial release, trigger point therapy, and Supartz joint injections. She provides a holistic alternative for treatment of chronic pain rather than reliance on use of narcotics. Dr. Stumpf joined the practice one year ago. Dr. Works is amazing to work with and has helped me to stay active in sport through some of my most painful times. She has helped with nearly painless trigger point injections and OMT treatments that helped with my hip pain before, and after hip surgery. I was experiencing rib pain when I went to see her after being referred by Rebound and she made life bearable and was able to get rid of the majority of the issues that I was having post car accident. Dr Stumpf is an excellent addition to Restoration Osteopathic Medicine with his love of learning and multiple approaches to fix different issues. I've been seeing Dr. Works at her Restoration Osteopathic Clinic for several years, and over that time she has significantly reduced my pain problems with manual manipulation. She has the knowledge & skills to make changes in areas of old injuries which two other osteopaths and some chiropractors have been unable to budge. She is a helpful, THINKING doctor who has made good observations & suggestions about some of the problems of my creaky old body that also have paid off in less suffering. I am actually a long-time patient of Dr. Works and have been treated by her in a couple of settings. Each time I see her I am reminded of how rare a treat it is to have a physician listen, really listen, to you. Dr. Works never seems to be in a rush and makes me feel like I can truly describe where my pain comes from and how I think I tweaked my body (again). Even better, she takes the time to explain how all the muscle groups and fascia and what-not all connect and why, even though the pain is in my back and sciatic nerve, it is really my hips being too tight that needs work. Who knew!? Event though I am living in Chicago now - I still continue to see Dr. Works. The new office is gorgeous. The staff is friendly and helpful. The administrator, Jason, made it a point to greet me and make sure I had everything I needed both before and after my appointments. I was recommended this place by a friend who goes there and loves it; she couldn't say enough good things about the care and attention they provide, and having had such difficult experiences with medical professionals in the past, I was very intrigued and excited! I called and spoke with Penny to make an appointment, and before I even got off the phone with her, I had received hands down some of the absolute best advice and attention I had ever received. She listened to my situation and concerns, and helped guide me through what steps to take before even going into the office in order to maximize the effectiveness of my visit since I did not have insurance. Her direction saved me so much time, money, distress, and despair! Between feeling helpless and in pain, not being able to work, and losing faith in health professionals of any kind, this place was an absolute oasis in the desert of my now former hopelessness. I have been seeing Dr Works for 3+ years. Dr Works is not only incredibly personable but she has a gift with her intuitive diagnostic ability and with her hands. I am so sorry the lady that had problems with scheduling gave up. It sure sounds like a front office issue. I also have spondylolisthesis and a rare metabolic bone disease. The first time I was in bed with back pain I was 9yrs old. I am now 75. After my first visit I left her office feeing so much better. I could barely walk and after my history of 9 years of the pain level increasing she ordered an MRI of my hips and they were ugly. I had been to my family Dr complaining of hip pain and she sent me to a physiatrist. My family doc didn't think it was my hips because the pain did not radiate to my groin. The physiatrist thought the same and ordered an MRI of my low back. I continued to get worse and had I not found Dr Works I have no doubt I would be bed ridden. Both hips were replaced by Dr Borus using an anterior approach. The sad part is it wasn't found sooner as it really affects ones quality of life. If you read this far I apologize for my bone health history. I hope this can save someone from going through the same..... and to know her is to love her. read more

So my question is , if she ,as in Dr Stephanie Works was really interested in helping people and with my very rare situation, to help would be to say we need to reschedule , she could have charged for the appointment . , why did she treat me so nasty ,and mean ,after I waited over 50 minutes for her one morning , as she had a family emergency, I never complained that she was so late , no one explained what was going on at the time , and it made me really late for my job. It's ok for her to be late but , not you ???? I came in the next visit , I was 3 minutes late arriving to my appointment , and she abruptly told me to leave ?????? Why was I not called ! It was my day off and I came clear across town for my appointment. Made sure , I would not have to go to my job for me to be late in case she was running late . Never have been treated so Rude , nasty , un Professional, and no explanation ! If she did not want to treat my condition all she had to do is tell me ,kindly!!! I do not believe that was the problem, she just had a mis understanding , and took it out on me ! I don't want anyone to think she is a bad doctor , She was helping me ! I had been dealing with chronic back pain from spondylolisthesis when I decided to try Restoration Osteopathic Medicine. I was hopeful after the first appointment and made a 2nd appointment for 2 weeks later. When I returned for my second appointment I was told there was an error and that they could not see me because they scheduled a shorter appointment in error and didn't have time for me. I had to be rescheduled which was a week out. After that, I was called to change that appointment. At that time, I decided to pursue other doctors. I did not want to continue to be canceled on and was dealing with extreme pain. I then received a bill for $100 for one appointment! I wrote a letter hoping for a courtesy reduction due to my bad experience with scheduling and was told they cannot do that because they are contracted with my insurance and that's the amount they say is due. I wish they would have made things right! read more

I have seen Dr. Works and am pleased. After my last appt, I set up a return visit with the female receptionist for the next week. When I came in for that appointment, the same female receptionist said that I did NOT have an appt BECAUSE I had NOT scheduled an appt...! WHAT??? I was and still am pissed about this. The receptionist made the mistake and it is HER fault. She did not accept this and did NOT apologize. The other problem with Dr. Work's office is that the phone is rarely answered. I usually have to leave a VM. I think that Dr. Works needs to hire a NEW receptionist. read more

Very disappointed. Tried to schedule as a new patient and was told she only wants to focus on manipulations for pain. That was very weird to me as DO's are supposed to treat the patient as a whole. I was told that she does not want to do any non pain related family medicine. Very sad she is not following the DO practice model. read more
