Before all this covid madness, I went here for a few months. They dropped seeing me, because I was…read morelate (not even by much) a few times, I think once to B-12 and once to an appointment. This was at a time where I had to rely on carpooling or borrowing a vehicle as I didn't have one. I have fairly severe chronic fatigue syndrome/fibromyalgia. Staff and doctors were nice for the most part. Although aside from labs and getting homeopathic supplements (and LDN) I didn't get any progress really at all. I really wanted to see or get ozone and other therapies. They tried to recommend me other places in the area, but I don't have much trust in the medical system. I need someone thats familiar with lyme, epstein barr, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. And yes I did complain and tell them about this with no response. I have better insurance now but doubt I'll go back here.

Vancouver Direct Primary Care goes above and beyond…read more Ed Kauffman is a highly skilled advanced nurse practitioner, and he provides excellent care. The DPC model is smart. There's a reasonable monthly fee, which gives you access to unlimited appointments, and excellent rates on things like imaging, labs (typically less expensive than going through my insurance). The aesthetic of the office is modern and inviting. The staff is friendly. I feel cared about and listened to, and appointments are never rushed. If there is a situation that might be beyond the scope of primary care, Ed is quick to make a referral to the best possible specialist and/or imaging center. Even if that means he must do a bit of research first to ensure you will be taken care of in a timely manner. I had been a member of a concierge practice before I moved to the Portland/Vancouver area, and I can truly say that the care at Vancouver DPC is somewhat compatible to that approach to care, at a fraction of the cost. The DR spent the entire visit belittling him for going to the ER & not having insurance. He spend more time playing dentist than being a doctor and dialed in on my son having poor oral hygiene and just would not actually focus on what he was being seen for. He would not listen to my son, dismissed the notes my son took with to make sure he didn't forget anything, and repeatedly told my son he just needed to find a better job, get insurance, and go to a dentist, but didn't offer any real advice about the CURRENT issues and actually made his health anxiety worse and his swallowing symptoms have now regressed (likely to anxiety) brought on by the extremely rude and condescending Dr he saw. The Dr he was supposed to see was not in the office, but is somehow still the one listed on his visit summary so we can't even review or file a complaint on the right Dr. Yes, my son should get insurance and take better care of his teeth perhaps, but none of that was the reason he was there and none was helpful. The Dr told my son basically how dare he go to the ER for this and that when "people like you" (referring to my son) go to the ER it just costs the tax payers money. Firstly, my son is a grown working man who pays taxes, Second - my son will get and pay his own bill. This doctor spent the entire visit "roasting" my son (my son's words) and now the progress my son has mad over the last week since his initial medical problem is practically all gone. I am appalled that a Dr. would ever speak to a patient the way this man spoke to my son!

He treats me with the utmost compassion and I feel like he always has my best interest at heart when I see him at an appointment. Anytime my issues have been more serious, he puts me in touch with the right people immediately. He provides the best medical care I have received from any medical practitioner. Jamie, the receptionist/phlebotomist/everything! Is always so kind and works hard to make my insurance work for me. She is extremely positive and always has a smile on her face. I have been a patient of Dr. Speakers for a long time and both my children since birth. We love…read moreher and have always had good experiences at Creekside. I just saw Dr. Speaker recently and she didn't mention the new concierge decision. She is changing her practice to this new concierge model (basically only for the rich) which leaves us now without a PCP as of September. She could have told me in person when myself and my kids were there. To give me a heads up so I could start looking for a new provider (considering how difficult it is to get in with anyone these days and when you do get an appointment it is at least 6-9 months out). Now I will experience a delay in my healthcare and most likely be without my meds until I can get established somewhere else. I never imagined being a middle class, hard working person with decent insurance wouldn't be enough to keep basic healthcare at Creekside. I am shocked at this decision. I didn't think Dr. Speaker was the kind of person who would abandon her patients simply because they can't afford it. Shameful! With everything happening in our country and the direction healthcare is going, we did not need this too. This is painful and heartbreaking to myself and I'm sure many other long time patients of hers. I am shocked as I have never had an unpleasant experience with the office staff nor Dr. Speaker. They are always warm, gracious and helpful. Dr. Speaker is a teacher at heart, as well as someone who works above and beyond for the patient. I'm fortunate in that a I don't need to go often but when I use the portal monthly to get prescription refills she responds right away with answers to any questions about insurance and options, if necessary. When I have my yearly physical, Dr. Speaker spends so much time with me that I begin to feel uncomfortable that we're holding up other patients waiting to see her - she is that thorough and present. And often I will walk out with referrals to specialists or names of someone/something in the community that may help. In summary, I can't say enough about Dr. Speaker. I don't know for sure how long I have been seeing her - probably around 20 years. In my 78 years I have been seen by many doctors, Dr. Speaker is the best at listening, teaching, responding and overall empathy to my health.
