This guy is a salesman before he is a chiropractor. You have to pay a lot for an initial consult that doesn't include treatment. This appointment will be over an hour and all you will get is a sales pitch. I have mild back pain and chiropractors have always taken my insurance... The chiro then comes and says they can bill my insurance for some things, but a lot of things will be out of pocket. He proceeds to try to get me to commit to a 6,800 "treatment plan" out of pocket. In which I need daily sessions for weeks, need to buy his foam roller and stretching tool, etc. I ask, will I be able to get itemized bills for these services? He explains they don't have enough office staff to give me an itemized bill, but that's how much it will cost. Very strange. I was able to find a normal chiropractor who takes my insurance instead in town. read more

I am not a patient of this office, but received a text message from them on 3/31/2026, stating I had an appointment to see them 4/1/2026. On 3/31/2026, I spoke with Sheryl at the office about this text message to my phone, which is on the National Do Not Call List. She stated the text was sent in error, meant for another patient with a different name. I unsubscribed from text messages from this office. Later on 3/31/2026, I received another text message from this office for another named individual about an appointment on 4/1/2026. This appointment reminder was sent to my phone, despite unsubscribing from the text messages, and despite my phone conversation with Sheryl in that office. I blocked their phone number and filed a formal complaint with the FTC. I left a phone message stating they are responsible for their unauthorized text messages, even if automated, and if they circumvent the block, will file with the California Medical Review Board. This office appears to have internal problems with their communications and appointment management. read more

I have filed with the Medical Board of California and will be filing with Anthem for this practice's misleading practices with new patients and lack of information given to new patients. I have no issues with the services; everyone was very friendly. I wasn't serviced much, only saw Katherine for intake "diagnosis". But she is out of network and I was never told this until after the visit. And you have to see her first before you see Egbert, who is in network with Anthem. The lack of transparency will make you lose clients. read more

This is an all-star team! I can't say enough good things about them. I feel full confidence that they are the best team to help me with the numerous spine, joint, and muscular issues I've struggled with for years. I find their approach unique and effective, as they combine their team's unique specialties in chiropractic care, medical care, and physical rehab, to treat patients holistically without surgery. They're also incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and warm - which has helped me feel at ease when navigating this journey. So far I have been in for a medical eval, we have done a few xrays, and they have educated me about my body and its pain points. My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Egbert for about five years and our health and well-being have greatly improved. We both began chiropractic care for back issues and received treatment that immediately helped us. Also both received trigger point therapy which was very beneficial. I have received treatment for bone on bone knee issues which have prevented me from having knee surgeries, and most recently, pulse wave therapy for plantar fasciitis which has shown great improvement. The best chiropractic experience I've ever had. I've had chronic back issues from a severe football injury several years ago. I am also a very active person, I Trail run 5-6 days a week, love all sports and being active with my kids. Back pain is not fun, and can slow you down quickly. For the last several months I've put in a lot of miles training for an ultra marathon. During the process, my back flared up really bad. It got so bad that I had to roll my back out and stretch for 30-40 minutes before starting my day, and stop running. After seeing Dr. Egbert, I felt immediate relief. The pain running down my right leg and lower back is gone, my neck and shoulders feel loose, and my body feels renewed. Dr. Egbert, was very thorough and patient. He took time to understand and asses the problem and really get to the root of some of my issues. Cannot thank him and recommend him enough! read more

As a Intensive Care Registered Nurse I know first hand that not all doctors are the same and it's quite difficult to find a good physician especially on the central coast. Everytime I move I have great apprehension and today was no different. But at the personal recommendation of a friend to him, and doing research, I came and saw Dr.Egbert and am very happy I did: He is by far one of the most thorough doctors I've met. He's proficient, pleasant, patient, knowledgeable, skilled and thorough, explains everything thoroughly to the patient and takes a holistic approach. I came in with hip pain and I left without it. I had seen another chiropractor, I'd been seeing for years, about the same problem last week to no avail. Dr. Egbert discovered muscles I didn't even know I had were tight, he dug right down to the problem helped me understand it, then corrected it and gave me education and tools for myself to continue to help it heal. This doctor even used an essential oil (now how many doctors do you know who are competent in that??!) What a breathe of relief to be in the hands of a capable physician/chiropractor I feel I can trust with my health needs and just relax and be the patient FOR ONCE. So far so good and I'm impressed. I've been to many chiropractors since 1980 and Dr. Egbert is the absolute best! We've been "together" since 2004 and I don't plan to go anywhere else. :-) I had a work related injury in 2011 and had spinal fusion surgery in 2012 and he was able to guide me through the trauma both physically and emotionally. Dr. Egbert was incredible. I was out of town on business in California and needed an adjustment before the long trip home back to Florida. Dr. Egbert saw me right away, spent a significant amount of time with me, and made me feel better right away. Typically, it is very tough to get a chiropractor to see you when you are an out of state resident, but Dr. Egbert and his staff had no problems. He adjusted me, provided some traction, and then gave me a 10 minute massage on my neck assuring that the trip home would be peaceful. He was awesome!!!
