Seth was very personable and explained everything I needed to know about the experience. He even gave me a little gift bag with shampoo, body wash and earplugs (to keep the water out of my ears). They use a whole lotta Epsom salts to achieve a salinity akin to the Dead Sea. You cannot, not float. He explained how the tank is kept sanitary. He showed me how easily the lid opened, in case I started to feel claustrophobic (I did not). Then he left so that I could get undressed. You can wear a bathing suit, or not. I chose not. Because of the high salinity, the water feels a bit viscous and slippery. It was unexpected, but not objectionable. I pressed the button that started my session, closed the lid, laid back in the water and floated and floated and floated .... in almost complete darkness (a small amount of ambient light coming under the door from the hallway filtered through the gasket of the closed tank). Unlike Sheldon (Big Bang Theory), I did not see Mandelbrot Sets in the darkness. When the time was up, I raised the lid, showered and dressed, then left feeling totally relaxed. The only negative was that the salts get on anything you touch until you shower. But, that's a small thing that was easily remedied. I look forward to doing this again.

A Mindful Movement - They use a whole lotta Epsom salts in that water. It's like floating in the Dead Sea (which I've done), except in darkness.

I am a registered nurse who has worked in various ERs across the country and now see the extreme need for self-care using all evidence based methods for healing. The work David does is truly an art form utilizing his comprehensive knowledge base of many therapies to provide an ultimate healing experience. I felt extremely relaxed and totally taken care of during the treatment. The value he brings to the table far exceeds what you will pay. My first float experience was phenomenal! Lisa made me feel totally at home and comfortable showing me what to do at every step. As a nurse, I am great at multitasking and thinking all the time even though my job is the help people to manage stress. However, during this much needed experience I was able just to present with myself and my thoughts. Overall, I cannot wait to go back! We are so lucky to have this amazing couple in Atlanta!

These results speak to David's knowledge and expertise in diagnosing and successfully treating especially the following areas: (1) I had lost 80% of the use of my right shoulder for over a year. I realized positive results (100% use) in the first treatment, (2) having diabetes, I experienced neuropathy from just below my knees to the bottom of my feet. Over a series of treatments, neuropathy now exists only in the bottom of my feet, with only minor indications. I expect neuropathy to completely subside soon, (3) closed sinuses / nasal passages awakened me in the early mornings, about 2:00-3:00am. Lost sleep most every night. David's treatment relieved the issue completely in only one session, (4) intestinal issues frequently interrupted my life for months. Again, David completely resolved the issue in one session. Lisa conducted a breathing session, and I now occasionally and easily reduce my breathing process from 12 breaths / minute to 6 breaths / minute to reduce blood pressure, and I can now hold my breath for as long as 30 seconds just for fun. By the way, I am 80 years old (feeling like I am 50 when the attached photo was taken) and most grateful for the ongoing professional treatments received at VHC. David and Lisa come with my full endorsement.
