It was wonderful working with Physical Therapists who understand runners and cyclists both physically and emotionally. Every session is different and begins with questions about what has happened since the previous session. At that point, the Physical therapist adjusts the plan for the day if needed. Sessions with Andrea and Cindy (Madison, County Line location) included exercises plus hands-on treatment for specific areas including massage, rolling, suction cups or whatever is needed. With their education and decades of experience they identified spots that needed attention when I did not realize those spots were the source of problems. The initial examination was very thorough and documented to identify progress. Nesin's holistic approach really worked for me. I had two sessions at a large facility and knew the impersonal cookie-cutter approach was not a good fit for me. I am so grateful that I switched to Nesin. The NTS facility is not large and overwhelming but still has tremendous resources. The staff made sure I understood how to do specific exercises at home and were very reinforcing when my progress showed that I had been working. After sessions I felt spoiled and rewarded sitting with TENS (mild electrical current to reduce pain) and either ice or heat. I am incredibly grateful for the NTS team and highly recommend them.

My knee was swollen and he performed lymphatic massage to help get some of the fluid on my knee down. He told me my pain would increase if fluid builds up in my knee and if the pain became unbearable, the next step would be to have the fluid removed. Scott is very knowledgeable and we discussed CBD oils and creams that may help with pain. My only complaint about TOC is the parking there is difficult. When the business was established years ago, there was no crystal ball to determine the population growth would be what it has been here in Huntsville. They need double the occupancy they have or at least 3 additional floors for parking.

I'm unable to recommend Austin Physical Therapy (APT). APT is a small Physical Therapy location…read morethat is difficult to coordinate with. I inquired for several months regarding their Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) service and was unable to learn much about the details and pricing of the service. Often, my emails, text messages, and voicemails were ignored. Just before Father's Day, they advertised a TPI Father's Day special which I signed up for. I was told that I needed to contact a specific therapist, by text only, to schedule the initial assessment. The initial assessment went ok, except the therapist was slightly late for the appointment, and was told the TPI assessment results would be emailed to me in a few days. A few weeks later I finally received the computer-generated assessment. I found the assessment details to be very lacking; the report was very generic and simplistic. The Father's Day package included the initial assessment and 4 or 5 follow-on sessions. Before departing from the initial assessment, we scheduled the next appointment. On the morning of the scheduled appointment, I received a text indicating that it was a holiday, and they were closed...so they scheduled an appointment on a closed holiday! The therapist repeated that the best, and only way, to contact her regarding scheduling appointments was via text. I tried calling the main office and the other employees said that I needed to communicate directly with the therapist via text. After frustration with no replies, I finally asked for a refund. Over the next five months, I was promised a refund, when I was able to get a response. The therapist always had an excuse. She was out of town, had sick relatives, or was just busy. Often weeks would go by after sending a text message without a response. Finally, after about 6 months I gave up. Austin's promises made are not promises kept. The purpose of this review is to share my experience.

I have arthritis in my knee and it is inflamed. I called and made an appointment to see Dr. Parks…read more He gave me a steroid shot in the knee and told me to take it easy on my knee. A few weeks pass and no real relief. I had to go back to TOC. The pain was unbearable so I had to get fluid drained, twice. The local anesthetic was a minor poke. The harpoon used to drain fluid, that bad boy hurt. I can't imagine the pain without the local anesthetic. Two large tubes of fluid were removed, twice. I have gone 2 weeks in a row to get the fluid drained from my knee cap. Many thanks to Tom, Dr. Park's PA! I had an MRI. Dr. Parks told me I need a total knee replacement. I have the surgery scheduled late June. The schedule is full. The waiting room for people with knee problems is full all day. It doesn't matter if you have a morning or afternoon appointment. Thankfully Dr. Park's staff is efficient and they get patients in and out quickly. While I do not look forward to surgery, I know that surgery will allow me to get around better and improve quality of life. Many thanks to Dr. Park's and his staff. 5/5
