Other than that, the employees acted like it was their last day on earth and they have to spend it working at resurgeons. The office calls to schedule long waiting injections appointment, I miss the call but get the message and call right back. I get Cady on the line, I explain her the situation and ask for appointment for my 90 years old mother who suffers from knee pain waiting for half a month for the injections to be ordered and arrive, the lady has no clue... She told me she's is going to contact Dr Halls team, figure out who it was who called me, what injections I'm talking about and ets... hasn't the information about the injections ready supposed to be on my mother's file already and how hard it is just to schedule her an open slot appointmen?' read more

saw Dr Shoops at Resurgens John's Creek on 11/1/24. I had an annoying pain at the base of my left thumb for 6/7 weeks. Dr Shoops diagnosed it and gave me theee options. I choose a cortesone shot and within 48 hours the pain was completely gone. Dr Shoops has been with Resurgens just one month but he was great. Thanks for the great care and service. read more

Dr. Ronald Hall just did a total right knee replacement. I drove an hour to this office when I have one just 10 minutes from my house. Dr. Hall came highly recommended and I certainly agree! He has such a wonderful bedside manor. He takes the time to sit and discuss your issues and concerns with you. While some people might be upset on having to wait for their appointment, I would rather have someone as caring as Dr. Hall to wait for and know that he does an excellent job. He is not a surgeon with the attitude of getting them in and out. He really cares and takes his time with you. I find that refreshing in today's day and age. To many doctors have their hand on the door handle and ready to bolt! Not Dr. Hall. The staff and the surgery center all have been great. I wouldn't trust this practice to provide even a minimum of standard of care, and I've been seeing them for over 20 years. They used to be a well organized office with a personal touch but have grown so big that insurance coding and maximizing profit seems to be their top priority now. I have to admit that I blindly trusted them to protect a relationship built with multiple doctors and I have overlooked several problems over the years . Dr. Eli Finklestein has been treating me with injections for several years and finally, I have jumped through all the hoops at his level of treatment to satisfy insurance requirements and I am now eligible for surgery, and he doesn't do surgeries. If he were not with Resurgeons I would recommend him but his office (Resurgeons) that includes many other doctors and levels of care has created many concerns for me in the past including having a staff infection from a tennis elbow injection. I won't go into the details but two years ago i had an injection for golfers elbow by one of Resurgeons doctors. i called their doctor to report complications of severe pain and was brushed off by him by him saying it was a normal reaction. Two days later on a Sunday I couldn't get in touch with him and went to the emergency room in the worst kind of pain and the Morphine wouldn't even help. My arm swelled to double its normal size and I had to pay out of pocket for a month and a half for daily IV antibiotic treatments. No offer from Resurgeons to help! I had an initial consultation appointment with Dr. Harms who is their orthopedic surgeon specializing in the care that can ultimately resolve the condition that Dr. Finklestein has been treating me for. I have had x-rays, mri's (last one within 6 months) and injections (three months ago) for this issue and when the nurse took me to the exam room she said I would need another x-ray. I told her I was there for an initial consultation and would like to see the doc and get a feel for what kind of care he offers first and was concerned about additional radiation because I've had a lot lately and that is considered a legitimate concern. She went out of the room and came back a few minutes later and said the doctor would not be able to see me without having an x-ray first. I don't want to blindly follow a doctor's advice that I haven't even met, and to require an x-ray in order to have an initial consultation may have been pointless. if I wanted to get certain non invasive treatment options it would be unnecessary to even get an x-ray but that's beside the point, I had a referral from his colleague and a recent enough x-ray and MRI and my particular condition never gets better on its own. I believe I will need surgery to resolve my spinal condition and there are many options I have to consider before making a decision, including choosing a doctor that I feel will be best equipped to provide care for my needs. I will not get a x-ray first and see if a doctor who I've never met is in the running for that care, that's completely unacceptable and was a huge waste of my time and has set me back at least a month while I'm dealing with this pain. I asked to speak with the office manager and rather than taking me into an office to hear my concerns she came out to the main lobby, which was completely unprofessional and likely a HIPPA violation. I voiced my concerns as described above and she also stated that the doctor would not see me without first getting an x-ray and offered her apology. If you are looking for professional care at an office that has well trained staff that cares how they treat their patients and understands bedside manner, look elsewhere. If you don't mind being treated like a number (what is your birthdate) and a "this is how we do things at Resurgeons, take it or leave it" mentality, go for it. They are the largest orthopedic practice in Georgia and one of the largest in the nation and in my experience they have lost touch with the patients needs for personal care. If you have any complications or things don't go as well as planned, don't expect to get resolution from this office. I have requested a call back from the doctor, to be continued. Update: a doctor's representative called back and basically said that what was done in their office was standard operating procedure. Well, at least I got a call back. read more

Dr. Sami Khan was highly recommended to me by several tennis friends that had gone to see him for various issues. I made an appointment for an "out of the blue" swollen knee. I had not fallen or done anything to hurt my knee and was preparing to go on a ski trip. I was happy to get in right away but also explained my need to be seen quickly. I was very pleased with the check-in process. The appointment person explained that I could do the majority of the "paperwork" online prior to my visit. There is nothing worse than getting to an office and being handed a clipboard with 20 pieces of paper - just to fill in your name and DOB, etc. over and over again; so when I got to the office they gave me an iPad to finish the details. IMPRESSIVE! I was called back within 10 minutes. Dr. Khan took the time to listen to my issue which was hard to explain because I had not fallen or done anything to cause my knee to swell. I should also mention that I can not stand for anyone to touch my knee caps. Since we were going skiing in the next days, he suggested a cortisone shot in my knee for the fastest relief. I said "yes" but was then so nervous about it, I almost hyperventilated. He recognized this and gave me other options, which I refused, so then he started working with me on breathing comfortably and explaining in detail what was going to happen, the shot timeframe, and the "pinch" from the shot. He suggested a practice run, which we did, (how GREAT is that?). He had me lie on the table with my leg straight, we did the practice run and I calmed down and agreed to the shot - again... Overall, a great experience with Resurgens and Dr Khan. The shot worked, skiing was great and I haven't had a knee issue since! Thank you Dr. Khan! read more

I had right knee replacement over a year ago. Dr Ronald Hall did the surgery and His PA Dr Qeuntin. They were caring and extremely professional in my recovery process. I felt very ccomfortable during recovery follow up visits also my Phyiscal Therapy. There has been some swelling and pain that I felt needed attention. I was afraid I would need surgry again and DR Queutin calm those fears. He was professional and assured me I will be taken care of.I am being treated for my concerns. I trust Dr Hall and His PA that whatever the treatments I will need to recover from this recent discomfort of both my legs. I was refered to Vascular Dr to address the other issues I am having. I want to thank the staff from the front desk back to the nurses, and xray techs Everyone has been professional, compassionate and kind. Unfortunately the staff here including the manager has dropped the ball. I arrived with my mom who has gone through a complete knee replacement that went south. 10 months later and her knee is worse off than before she got the surgery. This may not be the doctors fault at all so my stars are not for that. The receptionist when we checked in had a terrible attitude, and the other one I saw being very rude to an elderly couple. This is wrong in so many ways. I get very upset when I see this because it's as though my parents came on their own and were treated like this. Even when we called the person on the phone did not want to work here. I voiced my opinion hoping in beautiful Johns Creek it would make a difference. We are paying to come here. You are paid to be here. They are always behind, it's not right but it happens in this industry. I forgave that.....until Jennifer called me this morning. She gave me a fake apology and then wanted me to recount in detail exactly what took place. I tried my best and very simply said "they had a garbage attitude" Jennifer then went ballistic on me, I am saying this with no exaggeration. She said how dare I. She told me I have a bad attitude. I corrected her 3 times and let her know I said garbage attitude. I can see why the reviews of the front staff is poor. With a supervisor like Jennifer you can never learn and improve. This is where people come in dire pain. We are hurting. And you call and yell at us? Feel free to tell your complaints to the doctor and whomever will listen. But if Jennifer calls you. Politely decline her bullying. I walked out of a board meeting hoping on some news with my mom. It was her and the fake sorry and ended up getting yelled at. At the end I asked "are you done with my bad attitude". With such a great doctor on hand I hope Dr Hall finds a job where his smile, love and kindness for his suffering patience can be seen. Be ware for Jenifer. Dr Hall has been helpful along the way and is determined to make it right. He is pleasant and treats your mom like his own mom. You can tell he is smart and knows what he is talking about. I would still be careful but I can see the care and promise in his eyes. Even his nurse was just amazing. And when I asked somebody outside the exam room they admitted they get a lot of complaints about the front. But hope they made up for it. And they did. Until today, when Jennifer wasted my time. First time I saw Dr. Hall due to severe pain on both of my knees! I could hardly walked. On July 1st I had total knee replacement surgery of my right knee! My experience is been excellent with Dr. Hall and his team and I feel great family and friends can not believe that it is been only 40 days I am walking without help. I hate giving bad reviews but have to in this case. Came in a year ago with hip pain that had "labrum" written all over it. In the first appointment Dr. Hall could not keep his focus. He kept interrupting me and begging me for a review. He seemed to bounce off the wall quite a bit. He gave me a steroid shot for the pain but it didn't work. The second appointment was simply to discuss the fact that the steroid shot didn't work and to get an MRI set up. Nothing else happened in that appointment. Later I got a bill stating that I was given 2 steroid shots, one in each hip, during that appointment. When I insisted that that did NOT happen, the billing dept. removed it. During the MRI Dr. Hall had them inject steroid into my groin while they put the dye in. That steroid injection worked great. When I came back and told him that, he said he looked at the MRI and everything looked great. Sounds great, right? Except that the pain came back in a few months. After going round and round with a chiropractor I took the MRI films to a different orthopedic, and that doctor said I had a torn labrum. Did Dr. Hall even look at the MRI? I have no idea but I was NOT satisfied with the outcome and I think it's clear that this man has a problem. I give 2 stars instead of 1 because Dr. Mowbray at the same Resurgens was terrific in handling my broken arm a couple years ago. read more

This review is long overdue, Doctor Hall and his PA Quentin Farmer are both amazing! Doctor Hall did a surgical procedure on my knee in December last year which was very successful but, I also have some other issues that PA Quentin has been helping me with. All of the the staff that I have encountered have shown themselves to be very professional. I cannot say enough about the front desk staff whether face to face, or on the phone, they are always, always, very professional, courteous, and ready to assist you with your needs. read more

Just an all around dreadful experience. First off, parking is awful (especially if you are having knee problems)... On a hill, hard to figure out which door to go in, very very non-intuitive. I had filled out the paper work online ahead of time, but EVERY time I sat down...back I went to the front desk for yet ANOTHER question...really?? Here, you can have this back...no wait, I need it..you sure? WTH?? My patience finally went to ZERO when I was asked 'did you bring the report'?? They did tell me to bring 'the disk' from the MRI I had (on my knee)...but a report?? nope. I asked if they could call and get it? LOL! The look on her face was...sadly, priceless. Okay fine- my PCP is around the corner...can I GO GET IT? (you know, back to that hellish parking lot, do you job FOR you...grrrr...). (her response was 'we can try and get it but it could take 30 minutes to 4 hours) sheesh... Oh, I asked if they could simply pull it up? (as all my medical team is part of the Emory systems (so nice!) nope. The MRI place I used was not Emory affiliated (but my PCP is...never mind). So I get a copy (turns out I had one in the car, but no.one.told.me.to.bring.it!). I see the Physicians Assistant (as getting an appt with the MD would have been 2-3 months away...sheesh. After looking at my knee, an odd comment about my legs looking 'scrawny'?? I wanted to keep telling him over and over again...I have lost 158 lbs...I have lost 158 lbs.... So he gives me a shot in the knee (fine, simple) but then tells me 'the effects will wear off in 3-4 hours....so why give me the shot if it will only last 3-4 hours?? I left even more confused than when I came in....honestly? I don't want to go back if they are this confused. Oh, then the 'check out specialist' could not get her printer to work...really? I would *not* recommend this confusing, haphazard place (and why were there folks sitting around (looking very bored!) in the X-ray area? No explanation, nothing- the woman doing seems very bored/abrupt. Very little 'bed side manner' (good thing I was not in...you know...pain? or annoyed by now?? yuck. read more

THE ULTIMATE PEACE OF MIND! ER services can be great in a pinch but a specialist in regards to your specific injury can provide great peace of mind. After becoming concerned about swelling in my injured hand, I decided to follow up with Dr. Mowbray (hand specialist), at Resurgens. I was able to get an immediate "same day" appointment. When I arrived, I had already downloaded and completed the necessary paperwork so I had a very short wait. Dr. Mowbray has a very easy manner about him, does a great job of educating about wound care and is very thorough. X-rays were taken to determine the full extent of the injury, an additional stitch was removed to relieve pressure, my meds were adjusted, I received specific instruction on hand exercises and I was given a splint to provide additional support. Later that night, I noticed a significant decrease in the swelling while the mobility in my fingers had significantly increased. YES! I was elated because this means that the healing process is on target and I will likely avoid further intervention and that look of horror on my husband's face when he has to comb my natural hair or put my earrings in that "little hole". Yelpers: Generalized care is great but there are times when you need to take it to another level. Obviously my right hand is very important to me and I needed to make sure that everything was copacetic. My injury was treated in the ER over the weekend and I was given a referral to Resurgens to have my stitches removed 10 days later or if needed. The best decision I could have made was to follow up as soon as possible. During my entire visit, the staff in this office was very professional, pleasant and efficient. I highly recommend Dr. Mowbray and his staff if you are ever in need of a hand and arm specialist. read more

The worst practice--Resurgens. Don't get fooled by the size of the practice. They only care about making money. Please please avoid this place. We arrived at 1.30 pm for a 1.45 pm appointment on 6/13/2016. We walked out at 2.50 pm. The receptionist did not even apologize for the delay. Earlier when we asked her she said--"Dr hall is sharing the examination room with his PA--Quienten", as if that was our problem!!! Totally mismanaged practice, and only in it for money. Please spread the word. I cannot post this review without clicking on one star..so please do not be mislead by the one star rating. They are a no star practice!!! read more

I was able to get a same day appointment due to a workers comp claim. While the nursing staff, receptionist, and radiology tech were all great, I was not as pleased with the doctor that I was assigned to see. His behavior was as if I was inconveniencing him and he could have been doing something more important with his time. I did not understand why he had this dismissive attitude but I hope to never be assigned to see him again. I was in a lot of pain and the last thing that I needed to deal with was a doctor with an attitude. Please try to leave the arrogance at the door before seeing your client next time. You never know what they could be going through. I guess the thing that I did not share during my visit was that I am also a nurse and do know what quality customer care looks like...this was not it. First time I saw Dr. Hall due to severe pain on my joints and swelling on my ankle ! He said I have torn ligament. After a week the other ankle got swallowed he said it's because I've put too much pressure on the other ankle after another week my elbow got lock he said because I was laying down for two weeks already due to not being able to walk , I need physical therapy on my arm after a few days the joints on my fingers and toes got swallowed and I started having purple rash on my skin let's not mention the sever pain that I had all over my body and he was still insisting that was due to that one torn ligament! Long story short for more than 2 months I was on wheelchair because Of being paralyzed on all joints. One time I passed out of pain on the hallway of their office and they left me alone in the room for about 45 minutes until Dr. Hall came and sent me to Emory at Johns Creek emergency room and all they did was just pain killers and still nobody even thought of running some tests OR asking me if I was on any medication before the whole thing happened. After two and a half months of going through HELL I went to a family doctor he did some blood tests and asked me if Was on any medication and yes I was having Penicillin because of my Ruth canal exactly 5 days before the story so we found out it was just allergic reaction to penicillin! Almost 3 months with NO insurance every time paying that expensive visit to see Dr.Hall THE SPECIALIST and going through the worst pain of my life !
