He is not only a great surgeon but has a very caring and genuine "bedside manner ". I highly recommend him for any hand issues. The office staff is very friendly and caring also. Went in for a follow up on an knee MRI with Dr. DiFelice. In our first appt prior to MRI, when asking him questions, he interrupted me and never came back! I thought that was bad, but the MRI follow up visit was worse. I had 4 questions written down and that was way, way too many. He really does not like when patients ask questions and shames you for asking by being rude and condescending. I almost walked out mid appointment due to his snarky comments. I would list them out but I don't think there is enough space in this review. On top of that, he does general broad simple overviews and also rushes through appointment after appointment. Both of these appointments were 15 minutes or less. I truly don't feel that I was given good medical advice from him. I am seriously thinking about getting a second opinion. Either way, I will NOT be going back! Don't waste your time or money. Find a better doctor! read more

I am writing this review for my mother, who had surgery here through this office and Dr. Scott about 5-6 weeks ago. She has had issues with her feet for years, and finally after relocating from Florida here to the Northern Suburbs of GA- her insurance, along with some good old fashioned legwork (pun intended) she found this location. As she can only do one foot at a time for the services that she needed, she was obviously very nervous at first, as this is basically an elective surgery but one she felt she needed to get done since she has been in pain and had issues for years. Dr. Scott and his staff have been nothing but supportive, professional, and friendly. When the day came to get the procedure done, we dropped her off and she was there for a few hours. When she was finished, we came and picked her up. She was a little loopy, understandably, but the nurse gave me thorough and detailed instructions on how to maintain her foot and make sure that we were doing everything proper to ensure a timely and successful healing process. She has been off of her foot for a few weeks, slowly regaining function, and now is nearing the end of the process for one foot. Normally people will wait and take a moment to reset and then think about getting surgery on the other foot- she is ready to go and wants to get it done now! This speaks to the quality of her experience, as well as her comfort level with Dr. Scott and the nurses and staff. I commend this location, and I am very pleased that they were able to care for my mother (who can be demanding at times) to the point where she is eager to go under the knife so quickly. She is not very good with computers, so here we go with the review from me. Recently saw NP Jessica Styles due to back issues and it has been such a breath of fresh air working with her. Jessica took time and thoroughly explained the findings from the x-ray as well as MRI imaging and offered several solutions for my treatment. Absolutely Awful! Had a appt for pre op for my neck. Was told they will call Thursday to schedule my surgery. 6 weeks went by with out a phone call. But yet they keep sending me a bill for my appt. The lady who schedules appts apoligised and said she has just been busy! I have spoken to at least 5 people about my pre op bill as i feel, why should I have to pay for that when they didnt follow up until I reached out to them about my bill. My wife saw Dr. Kowalchuk at the Johns Creek facility yesterday. Dr. Kowalchuk blew in and out of the exam room showing the new modern medicine technique of seeing as many patients as possible in a day but spending no time with any of them. There was no warmth and no showing of concern for someone with two fractures and in a fair amount of pain. Her assistant told us she would have a prescription for pain sent to our pharmacy. Nothing yesterday so I called and was told that Dr. Kowalchuk would sign the prescription when she got a chance. Really? Five seconds to sign something is a burden? This morning, still nothing at the pharmacy. Wow. A doctor who doesn't care at all, doesn't complete treatment and doesn't follow up. Stay away from Dr. Kowalchuk and the Johns Creek Resurgens facility. read more

Great doctors, great support staff, and good facilities! My surgeon is highly experienced and knowledgeable of joints and almost anything that can cause joint problems. He's also as knowledgeable of solutions for joint problems including physical therapy, surgery, or a combination of methods to keep a person moving and as pain free as possible. Dr. Dale Lane is an awesome person and an amazing surgeon that uses surgery as his last tool. Dr. Lane and his nursing staff form a team that totally takes care of the patient. Most procedures are done in house at the co-located surgery center making your procedures less headache and more solution!! read more

The Waiting is the Hardest Part... yeah, Tom Petty must've written this song for Resurgeons ;) If you are the impatient type, find another practice. Every single appointment, even the early morning ones, are at least a 30 - 45 minute wait to see the doctor. Staff takes your copay PDQ and then you wait. And wait. And wait. Bring a book, knit a sweater, build a birdhouse, proof your pastries... bring something to keep you occupied for a while. Dr Scott is pleasant enough, no complaints there. But with an average in person doctor meeting time of about 10 minutes, it makes you wonder why the waits are so long. The appointments manager needs to go train with the Chick-Fil-A or UPS logistics teams. read more

Not only that, the billing staff is a mess. They don't know what they are doing. I have insurance. Was marked as self pay and charged $219. I gave them $220 because "they don't have change". Have tried to contact them multiple times and they don't take messages. WTI am in disbelief and feel really sad that people get duped in to going to this place because it looks nice and is busy. I had the earliest appointment time in the morning and still waited an hour and twenty minutes to be seen. Their fees are outrageous, way over any other doctors I have seen. I can't believe that Medicare hasn't caught up with them. Theirs was by far the largest co-pay I have ever had, and I see a cardiologist regularly. Too bad, David Scott MD is very good. I was surprised to see the poor ratings for Resurgens. I have had major Rotator Cuff surgery on both shoulders by Dr. DiFelice as well as he treated arthritis in my knee. Dr. Holliger saved me from losing my hand from a rare bacteria. Dr. Ficke treated me for severe elbow pain. Dr. Hanna replaced both of my wife's knees. I cannot say enough about the quality of medical care and proficiency we have had first hand experience with these doctors. That said everyone is entitled to their own opinion but if you look closer many of the bad reviews they have to do with administrative issues, long wait times, messed up billing and insurance situations. There were times I have had to wait longer than I thought was acceptable but I have also had just minutes of wait time. That given the the most important topic is not administrative but medical care. says I was having severe pain in right hip. I went to resurgens. I was told I had bursitis. I was give a shot in my hip and a RX for PT. One month Pt is still not working. I went and got my XRAY from resurgens. I went to a different group. He looked at XRAY and told me something was wrong I needed to get a MRI. This is when I was told I need to get a PET scan. I have carcinoid tumors (cancer) in both hips and my spine. I have just finished radiation and feel a lot better. The Dr did not listen to me he was to concerned trying to tell me that I was diabetic, I have a GP that I have had for 30+ years that says am not. Highly recommended! Dr. JOHN MOWBRAY (hand surgeon) treated my scaphoid fracture so well that the CT scan showed "no evidence of prior fracture" after 4 months. Asked him if he'd been treating a fake fracture. HA ​ While he's very professional ​and knowledgeable, he's also easy going and takes time to answer questions. I appreciate that he was conservative with my fracture and didn't pursue surgery unnecessarily but checked it regularly to confirm ​it​ was healing properly and advised timely use and therapy of my hand. I'm a returning patient and have been seeing doctors at Resurgens for 25+ years, that is until today. I will never return. I am in a huge amount of pain and went in today (9/27/22) to see Dr. Ficke about my tennis elbow. I had it 10+ years back and got an injection of cortisone and have been great until about 2 weeks ago. Dr. Ficke refused to give me the injection and only offered a brace and therapy. I am in SEVERE pain yet he refused. I was not asking for narcotics or anything extreme, simply a shot of cortisone. Not only did he refuse, he just kept repeating to me 'Studies have shown that cortisone injections do not cure tennis elbow and only weaken the tendon over time', over and over he would repeat that as if he thought I was hard of hearing. None of us are guaranteed next year or next month or even tomorrow and I want to be pain free today and am willing to deal with the consequences of another cortisone shot if I even live long enough to suffer with a weakened tendon. It's MY elbow, MY tendon, MY pain and MY life. He is exactly the kind of doctor that gives doctors a bad reputation....arrogant, pompous and all-knowing. Never again will I visit another Resurgens location. I do NOT recommend it to anyone. read more

I came here on Tuesday with my father to this Resurgens Orthopaedic facility to see Dr. David Scott, M.D. and liked just how professional, friendly, kind, knowledgable, and awesome all of the front desk staff, the back staff, nurses, and physicians' assistants are here. The wait was not long at all. We only waited for about ten to twenty minutes before they called my father's name to go back into one of the many exam rooms. The physicians' assistant there came in before the doctor and cut the splint that was placed on my father's left leg by North Fulton Regional Hospital and asked my father exactly how and when his broken ankle happened. He explained to him what happened. About a good ten to fifteen minutes later Dr. Scott came and examined my father's left leg after taking a look at images on his' cd that he had brought with him that had been made and provided by another place. He informed my father that what he has was a Maissoneuve Fracture and that his' only option is surgery. Dr. Scott also explained to myself as well as my father and mother exactly how his' fracture is and also explained how he will fix his' fracture surgically. So, my father agreed to have surgery for his' fracture. All of the staff here are very knowledgable about giving correct information to their patients and they always treat their patients well and with respect. The facility is completely clean and well maintained. The bathroom is by far one of the most cleanest public bathrooms that I have ever seen in my whole life. Also, all of the staff and the physicians at this Resurgens Orthopaedics location have answered all of my father's and mother's questions thoroughly. All of the staff and Dr. Scott are absolutely the best at what they do. They honestly truly do care about the health and the well-being of all of their patients. My experience and my parents' experience here was an excellent one, we definitely do look forward to coming back here again soon for my father's own follow-up visit from his' surgery. I highly recommend coming here if you are in need of a good Orthopaedic Surgeon. I also do highly recommend Dr. Scott for his amazing bedside manner, knowledge and Orthopaedic knowledge, and professionalism. All around excellent staff, excellent physicians, and excellent facility. This is why I give this place five stars. read more

8 months after my hip replacement surgery preformed by Dr Mathew Levine of Resurgens Orthopaedics, I feel compelled to leave a positive review. I could barely walk going into the hospital, but was able to walk painlessly only a few hours after the surgery. Furthermore, pain medication was not necessary after the surgery (except for Tylenol). I am 71 and still active in construction. I sometimes find myself carrying 60 pound bags of concrete as if my hip and leg were normal. Thanks again Dr Levine. read more

Went in for foot pain that I suspected was plantar fasciitis. They then took several x-rays that were not needed, told me that it was probably plantar fasciitis, and to go buy gel inserts. The doctor never touched my feet. I was sent on my way with nothing but an absurd bill. I will not be going for the follow up appointment. read more

I had to write a review here for Resurgens because I completely disagree with all of the poor reviews I've seen on here. I had a surgery 2 years ago with Dr. Beker, and he was awesome. I actually only came to him for a second opinion after a bad visit with another doctor. I chose Dr. Beker and Resurgens because he took the time to make me feel comfortable and explained the surgery (discectomy between my L4 and L5) thoroughly. I've come back a few times since then for various issues with my lower back and his assistants have always called me back promptly, always the same day that I call. I won't go anywhere else; I drive over an hour to get there! read more

Pain management is non-existent and they give you the same prescription every time you go, Norco Qty-12 5 MG pills to take one per night. If you go to a doctor who actually cares about your pain and prescribes you another prescription for the same thing, you are unable to fill it for 12 days because of the existing "LAWS" that don't allow us to fill again for another 12 days. Laws that impinge on our rights to quality care. The doctor's don't care and are more concerned with their medical licenses than patient care. Overpriced, at check out they give the customary saying, "Payment is expected at the time of service" but if you cannot pay the whole balance, they get snippy. Then they give you a billing office card that says "PATIENT RESPONSIBILITY" no name, no nothing, just that. RUDE and RUDER. read more

I had a great relationship with the previous dr that was there but this new one is short and wont listen to me as a patient. They have a cookie cutter response to everything. First visit you will get Mobic either 7 or 15 mg. You will come back in two weeks and get a referral for an MRI. After you pay 500.00 for that...they will tell you surgery is the best bet. Pay 1500.00 for a deposit and have the insurance companies hound you for the other 30,000 dollars. Great doctors and help with issues. We've been going here for 20+ years through a very active and prone to injury son and daughter. This proactive has definitely changed. We have very excellent full coverage yet Resurgens makes us pay the full bill and we are to trust that they will refund the difference. This is totally unethical and could be a severe burden for those who don't have the money, especially in a pandemic environment. Horrible, after waiting to see Dr Bush for a hr for a knee injury. He came into see me for not even 3 mins. and didnt even look at my knee he only went by the MRI. Gave me a brace, recomended physical therapy and follow up appointment for three months later. Told me to go back to work in two weeks. After 2 weeks was up my knee was still giving me issues while doing therapy. He would not give me a Dr excuse I explain to the NA about not being able to bare weight on my knee but the Dr apparently did not believe me! Dr Bush is a real ********!!!! read more

At first I was a little hesitant about going here (my mother recently had hip surgery by a Resurgens doctor and it was not the best experience), but had several recommendations to see Dr.Difelice for my banged-up knee--and I am so glad that I did! The check-in process was a zoo, but I didn't wait long at all to be called back. The receptionist was not extremely friendly but the doctor's assistant was delightful, and seemingly very knowledgeable. Dr.Difelice spent a good bit of time with me (which I didn't mind at all- he is VERY attractive!) The Xray techs were also very friendly. I have been suffering with hands going numb for about 2 years now. I tried everything before making surgery a priority. With nothing else working, my husband was really tired of me being in pain as it was now effecting daily life, I was referred here to Dr. Holliger. He is AMAZING!!! I not only had one hand done, but quickly made the appt for the second hand. You can barely see the scare and I have been able to braid my daughters hair without crying and being in pain as well as other things I have not been able to do.
