The part was covered under manufacturers warrantee. Simple job. No estimate provided by tech or owner. Was hit with a $1000 invoice with no prior authorization from me. Invoice was not itemized. Just a number, apparently pulled out of thin air. When questioned they knocked off a $99 service fee they fully intended on charging on top of service fee related to replacing a bad coil. I own 5 homes locally, so the search for a high-integrity tech continues.

At the suggestion of our property manager, we contacted Blue Water and were told that they had an appointment at 7pm but could come out after they finished that appointment. We received a text (no phone call) around 9pm that they could not find parking and would have to come back the next day. I told them that I could give them a parking pass but they replied that they had already left the area. I found this strange because, while it was late, they claim to be a 24/7 company. Nevertheless, they came out the next day as agreed. Trevor came into our apartment, asked a few questions, and said he was going down to his van to get his ladder. About 5 minutes later, I received a text (again, no phone call) that "Blue Water Heating and Air is unable to complete your repair, will have to call someone else. Thank you." As soon as I read the text, I looked out the window to see if their van was still there. They had already left. I called them 5 times and left a voicemail asking them to at least tell me why the could not complete the repair so I could properly inform the next company of the problem. I never received a phone call or text. Nothing. This is no way to run a business. I wish I would have known how sketchy they were so I could have saved myself the trouble, waiting, and sweating with no A/C, and just called someone else first. I do not recommend Blue Water Heating & Air.

He let me know his work was guaranteed for a year. Less than 13 months later, just after my warranty was up, my air conditioning slowly started to need to work harder and harder until it wasn't cooling any more. I called a different company, the same one I had used prior to Trevor coming out, and they showed me where the issue was. It was a leak in the same area where Blue Water had worked on. I didn't tell this company that I had work done on it or that Blue Water had worked on it, but instead used this information to contact Blue Water in hopes they could help me to understand what might have happened. I was perplexed at how unprofessional Trevor became on the phone. I was not the least bit accusatory and he was highly defensive about the situation. All I asked was for him to take a look at my unit and explain to me what could have happened. Although he didn't seem happy about it, Trevor agreed to meet me at my house the next day at a certain time. He stood me up! He didn't call or make any contact after that. He had no problem taking close to two grand of my money the year before! I would not recommend Blue Water as they do not stand behind their service.
