Wife and I just recently purchased 2 grave plots at Kingwood. Based on the other 2 ratings we…read morefully expected a hard sell when we got there and a bunch of calls later at home if we didn't sign that day. We didn't find any of that. What we found were salespeople who focused the discussions on OUR needs, not their sales. Not only did not try to "push" anything on us, they helped us immensely by pointing out things we never would have considered had we not met with them. In addition to the lack of a sales pitch, the thing that impressed me most was their "can do" attitude." Again, It was obvious from our discussions that the focus was on our needs and not their sales. Another thing that impressed me was the sensitivity shown by the sales staff. Sure its their job but having been born at night, not last night, I'm pretty perceptive and observant about what people say and how they say it and I one could sense that their sensitivity was genuine. Finding burial plots is never a fun thing, but we found this experience, interesting, informative and most of all when we left we had a total peace of mind that we had made the right choices. Our thanks to Angie and John for their patience and their caring. You folks do a great job.

My elderly father passed away in his home recently and Schoedinger Worthington was called…read more I don't know the name of the man and woman who came to take my Dads body, but they were incredibly gentle and respectful with my stunned and grieving elderly mother ...And with my father's body. Later we planned services with Todd Hurley. It had been many years since I have been involved in planning a funeral and I was shocked by how many details Todd readily handled for us. He made a very painful and overwhelming time so much easier and was always readily accessible for our questions and concerns. I cannot say enough good things about Todd and Schoedinger Worthington.

Craig Hungler did not record my son's funeral as promised. As I was unable to attend for personal…read morereasons, this was my last chance for closure. His negligence when operating the new video equipment (that he received no training on) resulted in no video being provided to me. Schoedinger funeral services did not train their employees properly and Craig Hungler lied to me about the fact that he was the reason for the video malfunction. Irresponsible actions like this should be enough to steer you away. No formal apology was ever given, no remorse by Schoedinger funeral home and zero accountability for their actions. They will say they had no transaction with me but I have a legal document from Schoedinger that I had to sign prior to my son's service. Reprehensible behavior on part of Kevin Schoedinger and his staff! Ironic that the response is that there is audio of my sons service and the first I am hearing of this is 189 days after his death. How rude to not offer me this or even tell me about it sooner. I text Kevin and asked for the audio after his response, then a few days later I emailed Robert and got no response. Then I received the response in the picture. Why would I say no and although I've documented all communication with them they have not shown me where I supposedly declined audio of the service. They now don't have the supposed audio. Very convenient in my opinion! I will own up to sending a nasty text back after the picture posted. It was definitely deserved after my patience with their ignorance.

There haven't been any technical difficulties with the music or power point presentations. It would've been 5 stars, (I wanted to do 4.5 actually) but I'll get to that- just wanted to say…read morefirst of all the service for my husband's grandfather yesterday was exceptional. Andrew, our officiant, took the time to make sure he understood who my husband's grandfather was as a person by hearing personal stories and meeting everyone he could. I thought that was great. The services at the chapel and gravesite were excellent and a perfect mix of poignant yet concise. My only negative was after we returned from the gravesite to collect the items that had been set up for viewing during the service. It apparently wasn't discussed prior and we had no idea where things were- my brother in law went to check where the service had been and one of the employees kinda snapped "don't go in there!" Well... we had no idea where to look. Finally we were directed to where everything had been set up in bags for us, which was nice. But being the end of our day, the little snappiness and how unclear this had been kinda left a bad taste. So, just maybe something for them to remember in the future, remind the family where they can pick up the belongings when they return. :) Otherwise, I am very grateful for all the work these people do and how attentive they were to our needs. Thank you all!
