What we found were salespeople who focused the discussions on OUR needs, not their sales. Not only did not try to "push" anything on us, they helped us immensely by pointing out things we never would have considered had we not met with them. In addition to the lack of a sales pitch, the thing that impressed me most was their "can do" attitude." Again, It was obvious from our discussions that the focus was on our needs and not their sales. Another thing that impressed me was the sensitivity shown by the sales staff. Sure its their job but having been born at night, not last night, I'm pretty perceptive and observant about what people say and how they say it and I one could sense that their sensitivity was genuine. Finding burial plots is never a fun thing, but we found this experience, interesting, informative and most of all when we left we had a total peace of mind that we had made the right choices. I don't care I paI'd you money. You need to take care of it. So it took about eight weeks to finally get it in and on the tombstone. Was talking to the gentleman. I told him how beautiful the picture hanging in the visiting area. I said too bad the area doesn't look like that. He told me cause it's winter time. like that all is trash. Andrew, our officiant, took the time to make sure he understood who my husband's grandfather was as a person by hearing personal stories and meeting everyone he could. I thought that was great. The services at the chapel and gravesite were excellent and a perfect mix of poignant yet concise. My only negative was after we returned from the gravesite to collect the items that had been set up for viewing during the service. It apparently wasn't discussed prior and we had no idea where things were- my brother in law went to check where the service had been and one of the employees kinda snapped "don't go in there!" Well... we had no idea where to look. Finally we were directed to where everything had been set up in bags for us, which was nice. But being the end of our day, the little snappiness and how unclear this had been kinda left a bad taste. So, just maybe something for them to remember in the future, remind the family where they can pick up the belongings when they return. :) Otherwise, I am very grateful for all the work these people do and how attentive they were to our needs. It's small, and I didn't see much except the meeting room, but it's tasteful and welcoming inside. Plenty of parking outside. The staff were very empathetic, patient, and helpful, both on the phone and in person. Anyone coming here is having a rough time, and has many important decisions to make while simultaneously dealing with strong emotions. They understood that, and helped me through things. They have many options for every part of the service, and prices are reasonable.

When I was offered the opportunity to speak with a manager, he answered a phone call instead of dealing with my upset. We have trusted Rutherford with multiple pet cremations, but will look elsewhere after this experience.
