Later we planned services with Todd Hurley. It had been many years since I have been involved in planning a funeral and I was shocked by how many details Todd readily handled for us. He made a very painful and overwhelming time so much easier and was always readily accessible for our questions and concerns. I cannot say enough good things about Todd and Schoedinger Worthington.

His negligence when operating the new video equipment (that he received no training on) resulted in no video being provided to me. Schoedinger funeral services did not train their employees properly and Craig Hungler lied to me about the fact that he was the reason for the video malfunction. Irresponsible actions like this should be enough to steer you away. No formal apology was ever given, no remorse by Schoedinger funeral home and zero accountability for their actions. They will say they had no transaction with me but I have a legal document from Schoedinger that I had to sign prior to my son's service. Reprehensible behavior on part of Kevin Schoedinger and his staff! Ironic that the response is that there is audio of my sons service and the first I am hearing of this is 189 days after his death. How rude to not offer me this or even tell me about it sooner. I text Kevin and asked for the audio after his response, then a few days later I emailed Robert and got no response. Then I received the response in the picture. Why would I say no and although I've documented all communication with them they have not shown me where I supposedly declined audio of the service. They now don't have the supposed audio. Very convenient in my opinion! I will own up to sending a nasty text back after the picture posted. It was definitely deserved after my patience with their ignorance.

Having to find a funeral home and a cemetery in such a short amount of time is not easy to do. We thought getting a plot would be a simple thing to do but found that cemeteries are very busy and you need an appointment. We visited a few cemeteries in the area and were disappointed by the lack of customer service and outrageous prices. We had heard that one didn't need to be Catholic to be buried here, and after stopping in for a visit we found that this was accurate information. The only stipulation that they had was that a religious symbol needs to be on the marker or headstone. For example praying hands, angels, etc. We loved the transparent price sheet. It was a few pages long, covered everything and even included a check sheet on what you need to do after a loved one has passed away. The prices here were about a quarter of the cost compared to other cemeteries near by. The staff was compassionate, caring, and very kind. We were given a run down of prices, lots available and shown options for markers and headstones. We were also chauffeured around the property. They made the process so simple and easy. They even offered us a payment plan so we didn't have to pay for everything all at once. The cemetery is beautiful. There are lots of trees and flowers. The main office was just built a few years ago and is very nice. We were told that there is enough land to last them for 100 years and this is the fastest growing cemetery in Columbus. We were impressed on every aspect of our visit here. I would highly recommend this place because of the affordable prices, customer service and the beautiful grounds.

Andrew, our officiant, took the time to make sure he understood who my husband's grandfather was as a person by hearing personal stories and meeting everyone he could. I thought that was great. The services at the chapel and gravesite were excellent and a perfect mix of poignant yet concise. My only negative was after we returned from the gravesite to collect the items that had been set up for viewing during the service. It apparently wasn't discussed prior and we had no idea where things were- my brother in law went to check where the service had been and one of the employees kinda snapped "don't go in there!" Well... we had no idea where to look. Finally we were directed to where everything had been set up in bags for us, which was nice. But being the end of our day, the little snappiness and how unclear this had been kinda left a bad taste. So, just maybe something for them to remember in the future, remind the family where they can pick up the belongings when they return. :) Otherwise, I am very grateful for all the work these people do and how attentive they were to our needs. Thank you all!
