I have visited many Museums such as the Huntington Library, the Getty and the Gene Audrey Western Museum. We really enjoyed ourselves. The museum is a perfect size, not too big and not too small. There is a nice mix of what is on display, from an excellent collection of spurs, paintings, and artifacts. My favorites were the paintings. Most museums have very old famous painting, but the Briscoe has a large number of paintings which have been painted recently. Now don't get me wrong, Blue Boy at the Huntington is an amazing painting but the paintings at the Briscoe were so vivid and captivating. I wish I could have purchased at least a dozen of them. The colors were bright, which made me wonder if this is what it would have been like looking at a Van Gouh a year after it was painted? Even though there were contemporary painting, the subject matter was distinctly western capturing a style unlike anything I have seen before. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. For instance, we asked what's the best way to go through the museum. Start one the 3rd floor and work your way down. We highly recommend making a day of it. If you get hungry, take a break and come back. If your budget is tight, the first Sunday is open the Bexar county residence for free. Enjoy the experience.

I love that they keep the tour group small, so it was my husband & I & another group of 4. Everyone was cool & respectful of each other's space while investigating. We did get some good answers with the Dowsing Rods. We have videos & pics we still need to go through. But overall the host were awesome. We will be planning another visit without the tour part soon. we didn't have time to checkout the Milk House & more of the house. Curious Twins did a great job telling the history. They didn't rush us, they were very nice. Overall, had a fun experience!

The geometry lessons are interwoven with tidbits about thinkers like Albert Einstein, Leonardo da Vinci, and Johannes Kepler, plus puns and jokes. It's a fast-moving feast for curious minds. To set up a workshop, call Dan -- the museum is open by appointment. It's free, but he accepts donations in person and through Fractured Atlas. You might see Dan's activities at community events, like at the DoSeum, and his creations on display at places like SAC and SAMSAT.

I would give 5 stars because we have continually gone back but I feel like more can be done to show what products are available. It's a silly complaint but I'm always a little bummed when I don't see a piece I would like to work on so I settle for something affordable. (Which in my experience range from $18, 22, 28, 34, etc. I am sure there are ones more/less costly) I also understand some items maybe seasonal or limited but I think snapping a couple pictures and updating their "inventory" on Facebook/Instagram a little more often could go a long way. Lastly, we have found ourselves wanting to go to the store a few times but arrive and realize they are only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Their merch selection is constantly growing too, so there's always a wide array of things to peruse through. Plushie keychains and blind boxes, anime figures and gundam sets, and the aforementioned snacks can be purchased here amongst so much more. I'd highly recommend checking this place out! They even made a spacesuit for the kids to take home. At the time the camp was less than 15 kids. They have a fun animated video after the camp is over for kids and their families to enjoy. The place is located on the 2nd floor of the Rolling Oaks mall right above the Incarnate Ward…read moreoffices. If you park outside by the Incarnate Ward entrance, when you enter, climb the broken escalator and the place will be right there. I wasn't sure what to expect and was worried it would be cheesy, but it was so much fun to go with friends. All the rooms are eerily decorated ranging from macabre to whimsical. There are lots of props you can play with, the staff will warn you about what to avoid. I was impressed with how well the lighting worked with the pictures we took. You can buy your tickets online or there when you arrive. They have time slots on the hour and you'll have a full hour to wander around and have fun taking pictures. Be sure to check the bloody lockers for fun surprises.
