Weird behavior. Today, i had an issue with this particular guy. This location does not price match online, which sucks - whatever. Making the customer submit an online order then wait 30 minutes to get the product at the price advertised online is a profoundly stupid policy. Any other company would use common sense and just match it to not waste the customers and the employees time. I returned after placing my order, and he knew exactly who i was. He went and grabbed my order without me saying anything, and said "order number?" I dont have reception in that building, and asked if phone number was good. He says "i said order number", Whatever, another waste of time i guess. Eventually, it loaded, i gave it to him, and i told him that this whole thing was an awful experience, that nobody benefited from this, and it clearly him mad. He responded with "what, you dont know how to follow rules and regulations?" And things escalated from there. Buddy, this is a gamestop. There aren't regulations, this isn't rocket science. We exchanged unkind words, i told him that the only thing that was accomplished today was wasting everybody's time, aggravating a customer, and making sure that i will never return to this location. At this location, you can expect to be argued with, insulted, have your time wasted, and deal with staff without any sort of critical thought process. Grown men that speak and behave like high schoolers. I have worked in customer experience my entire life. Taking care of the patrons of a company is paramount. Not being abrasive and insulting when you represent the company is the bare minimum. Bodachs games, half price books, dorkys games, retro game rescue, trade n games - each of these are companies more deserving of your business.

So many of our privately owned bookstores are struggling right now, so we all need to reach out and give them as much support as we possibly can. EyeSeeMe, fortunately has a special niche in the market. It has an extensive inventory of books written for and supporting the children of our African American community. Through their success, they now provide and offer books for high school student and adults as well. Today, I attended a virtual book reading co-sponsored by EyeSeeMe and was totally inspired. Before attending the event I shopped the store and picked up a couple of the books being read. Now that the event is over, I cannot wait to give them to a co-workers son. In fact, in the future, I will be doing a lot of gift shopping here for those hard to buy for friends on my list. It will be easy to find something for them here and it will be inspiring. I cannot encourage you enough, please shop local and please support black owned businesses, too. It makes our community stronger. When: February 20, 2021 Why: Virtual Book Reading Event
