They're definitely under new management that's clear to be seen. The food quality was bad. Food that should be hot was lukewarm. How do you mess up instant potatoes? The biggest shock was the change of price at the register. Prices were higher. I am upset as my family and friends have been enjoying their homestyle food for years. We are so glad we chose Reuland's to cater our wedding at the Meyer Ballroom/Paramount Theater, and I would recommend them to any couple! Brigit was amazing to work with -- we had to reschedule our wedding twice due to COVID, and they were flexible & accommodating every step of the way. We had numerous unique dietary restrictions such as a guest with celiac & a requirement that no food be cooked in alcohol to accommodate several recovering alcoholics. Again, Brigit and her team didn't blink an eye & executed all of that perfectly. My friend with celiac was so happy that she got to eat an individually-prepared meal at our wedding. Reuland's is fairly priced AND has a ton of cool options -- including the #1 hit of our entire wedding: a Chicago-style hot dog station! We did the hot dog station at our cocktail hour rather than as a late night snack, and everyone loved it. Did I mention the food all tasted amazing & the staff was so positive & professional?! Lastly, the groom & I live in Texas and had to plan the entire wedding long-distance, but for Reuland's that was not a problem at all. We had a family outing a few days ago, and Reuland's exceeded our expectations in every way!! The level of service was outstanding. The wait staff was very attentive and extremely friendly. Brigit was instrumental in helping us set up a photo display, and had some great ideas in helping us improve the presentation. The food was unbelievable. We had roast beef sandwiches with sides that really hit the spot, the deli was top notch. We were also served sirloin cuts, cooked perfectly (not overdone, not undercooked), and the cuts were HUGE. The cake and brownies for dessert were so rich and tasty, I couldn't help but go for seconds (and thirds, if I'm being honest). If you're having a family event, I highly recommend Reuland's for catering. If you don't believe me, try the deli for lunch one day. You won't be disappointed!! read more

Reulands food is amazing! Everything that I have ever ordered has been delicious. We had boxed lunches for an event. The fruit salad was sweet and huge pieces. The pasta salad had a kind of sweet dressing that made you want more. The second time I had roast beef, mashed potatoes and corn. So good!!! The mashed potatoes are not instant and melt in your mouth. The beef was all meat, no fat. I have tried the meatloaf and again delicious. What was truly amazing is their donation to assist our students in a beautiful Thanksgiving. We had stuffing and cheesy Potatoes. So delicious and extremely generous. Our students were extremely thankful and many of them had never had such delicious food. Thank you so much for being so thoughtful. Our daughter brought my husband and I soup from Reuland Food Service this week. The meatball stroganoff soup and chicken soup were delicious! My company did a catered boxed meal luncheon. Their page doesn't mention it from what I can see but they have Gluten Free options and it was fantastic. I had a Turkey & Provolone on a GF Udi's type bun. There was a pre-packaged GF cookie and chips. The portion was so huge I ate from that packaged meal 3x (2 meals and a snack) . It was nice to participate in a company meal and not have to be the odd one out. Kudos for gluten free food, fresh deli food, and huge portions. I recently had Reulands cater my wedding, not only was their price amazing, they're service was impeccable! We received so many compliments on the food, how delicious it was and how it was served hot! I couldn't ask for anything more! I don't recall talking to anyone from Ruelands the day of the wedding but they showed up on time and ready to go! They served/cut our cake and provided silverware and napkins. Hm. I like Reuland's but it's not love. If anything, it's more a relationship of convenience on my end. Yes, it is an Aurora institution, they catered all the parties that my employer had before the economy nosedived, and I work about 4 blocks away so it's a short hike. Their selection is enormous, offering hot dishes such as baked chicken, beef sandwiches, hamburger golash as well as deli sandwiches and lots of cold sides (macaroni salad, fruit, cottage cheese, pasta salad etc). It's definitely the kind of place where there's something for everyone but that something is just mediocre. The macaroni salad is probably my favorite thing there and I enjoy the diverse choices, although I've made a few bad ones (baked mostaccolli). read more

This is a one of a kind deli with an ever changing menu. Off RFS' menu I've had: -The roast beef sandwich- the best I've ever had, make sure you get it dipped with cheese, high quality roast beef made at RFS with a great Au jus. -meatloaf- really great homemade meatloaf, good flavor and texture with a nice ketchup based sauce on top of it. -corned beef- I think it's only served around St. Pats, but this was by far the best I've ever tasted. -pasta salad- best I've ever had, I asked for the recipe and the mustached owner told me if he gave it to me he'd have to kill me! -vinegar slaw- very delicious, I prefer it over the creamy variety any day and RFS got it right. - macaroni salad- it's like a Salad version of macaroni and cheese I've also attended several events catered by RFS, they really go over the top with amount of food and presentation for their events. Their prices are an incredible bargain and the staff is friendly. This is definitely a spot I'll continue going anytime I'm in the aurora area. read more

Our daughter's 50 guests or less wedding was continuously "up in the air" with all the hype around Covid-19 and Reuland's was awesome! They worked with us on price, dates, and times with so much flexibility. Brigit was professional and accommodating as well as smiling and friendly in every face to face encounter and email. The service was above and beyond from fancy, plastic dinner plates to executing our do-it-yourself ice cream bar. They even filled and refilled our bottled water stash and made the punch for us! The food was terrific (we are especially fond of the Caprese stuffed chicken) and it was beautifully displayed, hot and delicious! We had so many compliments on the food and the staff! Used Reuland's to cater our wedding and were blown away by the service we received. We had a pig roast and chicken as the main course with potatoes macaroni salad baked beans and coleslaw as our sides. Everything was absolutely outstanding. Having everything set up as a buffet meant everything was hot on everyones plates when they ate, unlike a lot of weddings where the food is cold and the chicken is dry by time it gets to you. The pork with their "doctored up bbq sauce" was phenomenal. We also used them to cater our open bar as the reception hall was a do-it-yourself for food and drink. The bartenders were outstanding and the service they provided was amazing. They really went above and beyond. Have also eaten inside with so many choices it's hard to decide what to get, but you cannot go wrong. Everything about Reuland's is outstanding. Imagine this as I do.....It's Easter, you're off to your Grandparents house reluctantly as a preteen would be. You walk in give/get hugs and then it hits you.....that smell...that wonderful smell of Grandpa's cooking. The smell that lifts you off your feet and carries you to the kitchen to find the one man in your life (Sorry Dad but Gramps cooking makes him a favorite for that day! :) ) you need to rush to togive a great big ol hug to!! Yep....that Reuland's for me! The minute you open the door....it feels like it did for me as a kid walking into my Grandparents house for holidays! Not overwhelming cooking but just the right amount of mouth watering I can't decide I want everything cooking! Seriously, every time I go I can't decide! Food is always good! The roast beef...very tender! Serving size is what you make it! I love the roasted potatos!!! The staff is always friendly. There is plenty of seating and there is outdoor seating when it's nice outside. In the summer you can get fresh grilled items on Wednesdays I believe! Nothing is better than a fresh grilled burger!! Parking is a little tight if you drive a big truck like mine but as long as you know where you're going you're fine. Location is tucked in a bit from the main street but still easy to find. The only downfall....everytime I go during my lunch hour...I feel like a need to take the traditional going to Grandpa's for Thanksgiving Afternoon Nap! We came across Reuland's because of our wedding venue and we are so happy that we did. From day one, Brigit was so incredibly helpful - from the tasting which was perfect and great fun for us and our friends, to all of our emails leading up to our wedding day. She came to our venue with her team in tow and it ran so smoothly. The fruit plate was beautiful, our names carved in a watermelon! Everything was continuously refilled and taken care of, and it was so delicious! The tables, napkins, linens and everything to set the tone of the wedding was placed perfectly by her and her team. She was a huge help with our outside desserts as well. She made our wedding such a breeze and it was so great to see her smiling, friendly face there! After the wedding, all of our leftover food was packaged up and given to us *awesome*. Brigit is the best, and her food, catering, team and professionalism just make her easy to love.
