They took our island theme and went heavy on the vegetables which is the way we like it. The cauliflower passed appetizer tasted "just like shrimp" according to my mother. The taco bar was delicious. Even though WE don't eat a lot of meat/poultry, we anticipated that our guests would be expecting it. The jackfruit substituted beautifully for brisket/pulled pork and I wish there had been leftovers of that dish. And the tostones. Our fry bar featured plant based "meat" sliders and... my son's friends thought they had eaten cheeseburgers. But the piec de resistance... THE POKE BAR with fish sourced locally from Chula Seafood. We had 140 guests at this event and we've probably heard from 100 of them that the poke bar was "bussin-bussin." According to my 13 year old son, this means "delicious".
