We used Fat Freddy's Catering for a 60th birthday party. The entire experience was very pleasant and hassle-free. The ordering process was clear and efficient and the administrative staff was always available to answer any questions that arose. This company is not short on communication and both the owner, Eric, and manager, Carson, ensured that our experience was wonderful and our expectations were exceeded. The catering menu itself is large (15 pages long) and diverse with many different options including passed appetizers, dinner packages, carving stations, and much more. We opted for the delivery service and ordered about ten Heavy Hor's d'Oeuvres from the À la carte menu items for our party of 45. Delivery was on time and set up was as expected. While I would not recommend the Crab & Cheese Rangoons (overcooked and dry) nor the Bruschetta (Crostini toasts were too hard/crunchy), most of our menu choices were delicious: - Mini Cuban Sandwiches (amazing) - Mini Beef Wellingtons with Creamy Horseradish (amazing) - Thai Peanut Chicken Skewers (excellent) - Flatbread with pulled pork and caramelized onions (excellent) - Marinated Grilled Vegetable Display (excellent) - Firecracker Shrimp Spring Rolls (good, but a bit overcooked/crunchy) [- Tomato bruschetta itself was fresh and flavorful] Overall a great first experience ... Fat Freddy's catered my wedding this past weekend, and it was wonderful! We selected the Italian menu, which came with lovely options, and also included a vegan and gluten-free addition for those with dietary restrictions! Woo-hoo... we celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary and guess who catered us... Fat Freddy's! Food was excellent! Server and Carver excellent - professional and nice! Overall experience, excellent! These folks offered us an incredible array of eats which included: Herb crusted beef tenderloin; Chicken Marsala; Potato Au Gratin; Baby Carrot and French Bean Bundles; Raspberry Vinaigrette; Fresh tomato and cucumber slices with Kale, Daikon sprouts, pumpkin seeds and goat cheese; Fresh fruit display with assorted crackers. Carver, Catering Staff/Server; Acrylic package of plates, dinnerware, cake forks, napkins. And it was all terrific, with the exception of the Chicken Marsala, which was not bad, but not quite to the level of everything else in the servings. What made it even more terrific is that they were integrated behind the scenes... they're not there, but then they're there! Professional, courteous, invisible and great personalities. We had the prime rib and chicken, and mashed potatoes, carrots, and salad. It was all delicious! We got many compliments on the food. Also, Bradford was awesome. He was helpful in every way you want a caterer to be. We didn't have a cake table. He cleared off the catering tables and made a beautiful display with our cake. We appreciated him so much! My daughter was married in October in Mesa. We had about 140 guests. We had two appetizers with Fajitas as the main course. There were many children at the wedding and Kandyce suggested quesadillas for the children which worked beautifully. The food was delicious and the portions generous. They provided fish for the non meat eaters and a special dish for one person with food restrictions. The food was served buffet style. When I asked about providing water Kandyce said that they would set up a water station at no additional charge with glasses which was great. We received many compliments from our guests on the quality of the food. Given the outstanding reviews I was not surprised but still very happy. The pricing was very fair. Several guests commented to us that the staff were extremely helpful and kind. Kandyce was lovely and very easy to work with.
