Her knack for providing carefully crafted instructions to individual students is awe-inspiring. There is no painfully regurgitated "dialogue," and no ridiculous and extreme conditions that cater to the egotist. Don't get me wrong--the room is hot and humid, but you sweat because she makes you work hard, not because you feel faint due to a heat index of 150. Mary Ann knows all the modifications for those who have any ailments, and how to push those who master the basics. You can take a break if you are having an off day without absurd repercussions or belittling. Unfortunately, I can only make it once or twice a week now since I moved away--but the high quality instruction and proper conditions make it worth the trip. Definitely try the place, especially now with the brand new accommodations--always clean and never smelly. Easy parking eliminates yet another headache. Go in prepared to listen and learn, and you will be amazed at how much you didn't know!

The owner, Diane Lagadec is absolutely AMAZING. I can't really say enough about her or the Center, but I'll try . . . Not only does the Center offer a variety of yoga classes and teachers, but they have days and times that fit anyone's schedule. I took classes with several teachers, and they were all wonderful. My favorite ones were Diane and Mona Cusick. Each teacher offers something different as far as their approach, so it's an individual thing. I would give any of them a try. The Center also offers many interesting workshops for body, mind and spirit. I took belly dance classes here with two different teachers, and I had a great experience. Check their schedule online for the latest offerings. They also sometimes have special concerts. I went to a Kirtan once, and I had never been to one before. It was really cool, and I recommend going if you like to sing. The space itself is beautiful with spacious yoga rooms . . . there are also 2 large bathrooms for changing. The place is very clean and decorated in a very lovely, spiritual way. There are many wonderful things to buy in the shop, including jewelry, clothing, books, incense, and other supplies. I've bought my most beautiful earrings here, and a shirt that I get compliments on every time I wear it. The people who work at the Center are so nice you'll want to come back again and again. I wish I could come back here, but I now live in Cambridge and got rid of my car. Sigh. If you live in the Bridgewater area, you MUST check it out. By the way, the Center moved some time ago, and aren't in Central Square. They are at 992 Bedford Street (Route 18).

It has a great location with plenty of parking, (great coffee right in the plaza). The studio is welcoming, warm, clean, with plenty of space. Karen's voice is clear and easy to follow, she instructs through each pose, and provides helpful cues. The class did provide some challenges but without strain or pain. This is my preferred location because the space is comfortable, with warm decor and soft lighting. The teachers are experienced and empathic and always encourage students to practice at their own pace with their own limitations. Students can take classes by the day or obtain a monthly membership. The owner is very warm, attentive to all of the details of the schedule and the studio, and cares deeply for students and for the practice as a whole. Parking is easy and located right outside the entrance. Class times range from early morning all the way through evening. I highly recommend the studio for someone looking to expand their practice or take their first yoga class.

Ive done vigorous vinyasa yoga and enjoy the refreshing pace as a change. Also offers Zumba, and a more vigorous flow class, which I haven't tried yet. Biggest complaint is the minimal soundproofing in the foyer - either incoming students are especially noisy, or the walls are thin (probably the latter)! Occasionally during the final relaxation you're disturbed by happy chatter of folks waiting for their class.
