The turnout was perhaps more than anticipated, and while the teacher was able to strategically make space for everyone who wanted to attend, things were a bit cramped, which made it a little less relaxing than I expected, but the teacher was great and it was still helpful to do the postures. The studio has beautiful hardwood floors, plants and is nicely decorated. It's in a part of the building that is used for the winter farmers market, so if you are used to coming to the market, this should be easy to find. I will definitely keep this studio on my yoga radar and check their class schedule for other community offerings and special pop ups. I don't think I am likely to visit regularly though because the parking situation is rough with limited street parking.

She knew it was my first time, and personally walked me through where to put my belongings, gave me a quick tour of the facility, and showed me where to find the items needed for the class. Andy was great, I love that she subtly assisted me while instructing. Very knowledgeable of positions and subtle changes to get the most out of it. THIS IS A SIZE FRIENDLY piece of equipment, not once did I feel like I'd fall or break it. However, although the class is beginner, and it's supposed to be easier than floor Pilates, you will feel it, but it is doable. You can take a break of course if needed. They have a membership, which is a little pricey, given I believe you also need to pay a one time fee as well. They do have drop in classes for $35 though, which is nice. Not only are the aesthetics of Santosha immediately calming, but I have always felt welcomed and accepted by the teachers and staff. The front desk employees have consistently been pleasant and helpful--and often drop into the class themselves after everyone is checked in. All of the instructors I've met thus far have been highly knowledgeable, warm and compassionate. Overall, they have balanced explaining poses, breath work and technical aspects of practice with essential core concepts for understanding and deepening one's yoga practice. All of the classes I've attended have been inviting, honest and uphold the true meaning of yoga--unity. I've especially enjoyed the "Energy Healing Clinics" offered monthly (I think it's monthly anyway)--$5 donation for quick Reiki sessions and other energy healing practices. Santosha offers a discount for students as well as military personnel which I think is great--a way to increase accessibility to yoga. The only downside to this studio is that there are relatively few classes offered each week. Nonetheless, Santosha is a wonderful oasis and a hidden gem of Cranston for sure. Wendy is fun, funny, and focused - she makes sure we're doing all the exercises perfectly and that the tasks are appropriate for our skill set (or lack thereof, in some cases). If you're unsure if Pilates is for you/you're a beginner/been out of it for a bit, set up a class with Wendy. I can't say enough great things about her. Anyway, go, sign-up, sweat, and enjoy!

I paid thousands of dollars for several months of personal training plus a regular membership. First, they promised one free month for the person who referred me to the gym, and that never happened. When I tried to stop training, they forced me to pay an extra month because of a "30‑day notice" clause, that translated to an extra $642 dollars for the month. Then I had to move from Rhode Island to Texas, well beyond their own 15‑mile rule for cancellation. They asked for proof of my new address, which realistically takes time because you only get that after you've actually moved. I waited, sent the proof they requested, and now they're still demanding the remaining three months of the contract before cancelling. To me, this is a PREDATORY, SCAM ‑LIKE way of doing business. If you're considering this gym, read every line of the contract and think twice. There are many other gyms with FAIR, FLEXIBLE memberships that don't punish you when life changes. It's a shame that such a great trainer like Nick is working for such a greedy company.
