The store is run by a wonderfully sweet couple and the staff is very knowledgeable. I heard a customer asking for something obscure and the staff took them right to it, told them how to use it and suggested other items too. You can get lost in the aisles and really get your creative juices flowing. Or come in for something specific. The aisles are very organized by type of product. This is located in a strip mall with Academy Sports at one end, and Laser Tag at the other end on the north side of Veterans BLVD. HUGE parking lot in front. It is fairly easy to get in and out of the parking lot. Walking in, I was quick to notice the closed circuit monitoring of the store. The sales are fairly good, but even not on sales, the prices are not too bad. On my most recent visit, I was looking for a basic kit to learn to cross stitch, found it quickly and was able to check out quickly. Most visits, the store has plenty of associates on the floor to help you. This visit (July 4th) was light on help, but it is a holiday and I am glad they were even open. Nice surprise! The staff is always friendly and helpful, and checkout is easy. The whole store is neat, clean and well organized. The signs at the end of the aisles are true to what is actually on the aisle. There are many beautiful hand painted works of art by Cody. The sweet lady at the register identified herself as Cody's mother -- she was very informative about the art and artists in addition to sharing info on some of the local culture. There was a sign that noted that they only custom framed art that was purchased there. I think it is a neat place to check out if your are into local art and you are in the mall with a few minutes to spare.

The man that I assume owns the store is always there, he is kind and knowledgeable. Custom frame for this very large print was $275 after taxes and was done in 5 days. They take half down and half at pick up and they also have 45 day lay away with 20% down. The picture came out beautiful as you can see and I have 4 more to have done as extra money appears. The woman who called me and left a message to tell me it was ready was SO SWEET and expressed great thanks for the business and said how beautiful it came out and I'm really going to love it. She was right! Use them! They are great people and do very nice work. All 3 we had done at Gordon's have fell from the matting and I'm bringing them here to have them redone properly.
