Cue Rev. James Chun--I send him an inquiry at 8:30pm on a holiday and get a phone call him from him within 15 min saying let's book your beach wedding. 5 days later, my in-laws flew down from the mainland and with my parents, brother and grandfather, witnessed a beautiful and intimate ceremony at sunset at Magic Island. James was not only professional and helpful in the whole process, but despite not knowing us at all, truly found the words to capture our love and curated a ceremony that was truly "us." I cannot recommend him enough and feel so thankful he was the one to go on this adventure with us!!

He was easy to communicate with. His directions for our rehearsal were clear and easy to follow. During the day of our wedding he ensured our ceremony went smoothly, he informed our guests it was an unplugged ceremony and that he would give them a moment once he pronounced us husband and wife to pull out their phones and capture the moment. He even stepped aside during our kiss at the alter. He is very professional and down to earth. I highly recommend working with him. Our wedding was everything we could have possibly dreamed of and more…read more Kahu Pomaikai brought a very warm and inviting energy and we were excited that she and her team are LGBTQ friendly. She brought a lot of joy and laughter to our ceremony. We actually also decided to slightly change our wedding location to a spot where the terrain was pretty awkward and weird and Pomai supported the decision and made it work! Her son, blew the Pu, and it was gorgeous! Blowing the Pu is no easy feat! Our musician Henry was so warm and kind. We thought he might only play music during some parts of the wedding but he picked songs throughout which made the ceremony feel more magical. Debbie, our photographer was extremely easy to work with and would coach us on where and how to stand so that we would have flattering photos. We planned the wedding in two months, so we didn't have the year leading up to the wedding to get fit! Debbie still managed to make us look absolutely stunning. We had a few sets of photos that we absolutely wanted and Debbie was really open to making those shots happen. This was an unbelievably affordable option for getting married and I can assure you, the quality was not compromised in any way. I got way more than I expected and would recommend the full ceremony package to anyone! It was so beautiful that my wife and I were back and forth between laughter and tears the entire time. I can only describe the whole experience of working with Kahu Pomaikai and her team as magical. Purely magical.

My aunt and uncle's vow renewal was beyond perfect thanks to Kahu Pomaika'i and her associates…read more After researching many options for a simple vow renewal ceremony in Oahu, we chose Hawaiian Aloha Blessings based on the reviews, photos, and ceremony packages. From the first message on yelp all the way up until the ceremony, Kahu Pomaika'i was extremely helpful, easy to work with, and professional. Kahu Pomaika'i helped me with every question I had and responded promptly to every email I sent. We ended up choosing the Makana package and later added a photographer, musician, and conch blower. Kahu Pomaika'i set up each of these services for us and each of these people were beyond amazing. Even though we only met these people fifteen minutes before the ceremony started, it felt like we were all family. The icing on the cake was when Kahu Pomaika'i included my aunt and uncle's daughter (who could not make it to Oahu) in her blessing. Kahu Pomaika'i took a moment to chat with my aunt and uncle before the ceremony and learned that one of their kids could not make it. In the back of all of our minds, we were sad that she wasn't there so when Kahu Pomaika'i included her in the ceremony we were all extremely touched and thankful for her kind words. Kahu Pomaika'i explained the meaning and purpose behind every detail included in the ceremony, and we could truly feel the aloha with every word spoken. Each word felt fluid and natural, not recited and bland. This wasn't a quick Las Vegas drive-thru ceremony, it was one of the most spiritual and meaningful events that I've ever witnessed and been a part of. Hawaiian Aloha Blessings showed us the true spirit of aloha. There was never any pressure, the pricing was simple and fair, Kahu Pomaika'i and her associates were a pleasure to work with, and the actual ceremony was more than we ever hoped for. If you need an officiant, you won't regret choosing Hawaiian Aloha Blessings. You should also consider hiring: Po'okela, as your conch blower. He assists Kahu Pomaika'i with the ceremony and blows the conch in all four directions to summon family ancestors. He's also Kahu Pomaikai's son! Adorable! Butch O'Sullivan as your musician. His vocals and ukulele create the perfect vibe for an island ceremony. He was so warm and kind and cool at the same time! Debbie as your photographer. She did an amazing job and really took the time to make sure the lighting and positioning was perfect for every photo. She didn't rush it and run off. She stayed after the ceremony to take more photos on the beach and in different areas of the location for both my aunt and uncle and the rest of the family. Mahalo Nui Loa to Hawaiian Aloha Blessings!

We wanted a simple ceremony on the beach and they made it happen. They helped pick the location and it was perfect. They took their time to make it special for us and we really appreciated it. We highly recommend Islander Weddings.

To begin, I must express my disappointment with Robert's services. While he is a well-intentioned…read moreindividual, we entrusted him with booking the second most expensive wedding package for my wife's dream wedding. Upon reviewing the reviews, we were initially impressed. The photographs on the website were visually stunning. However, we discovered that the photographer we had hired was subpar. Regrettably, none of our photographs matched the website's images. Instead, he captured candid moments of individuals not smiling, which were subsequently sent to us. It is important to note that the website typically promises 100 photographs or more. However, upon reviewing the actual photographs, we found that only a fraction of the promised images were delivered. Notably, three identical photographs were sent, all of which depicted individuals without smiles. Despite these issues, Robert attempted to rectify the situation by offering my wife and me an additional photo shoot after the wedding. However, it was impossible to retrieve the day of the wedding itself, which was the most disheartening aspect of the entire experience. In contrast, my daughter's iPhone photographs were significantly superior to those taken by Robert's photographer. In my opinion, if I had opted for the more economical wedding package offered by Robert, utilizing his own phone or camera for photography, the results might have been superior. My primary concern was the limousine, as we selected a venue that was slightly farther away, necessitating a higher cost for the limousine due to the extended travel time to the wedding site. Consequently, if you choose to have your wedding on Sandy Beach, you will incur an additional fee for the limousine. Unfortunately, my wife forgot the rings and had to return to retrieve them. The entire process, including the wedding photoshoot and the return trip for the rings, took approximately 2.5 hours. In contrast, a standard wedding at a closer beach typically takes two hours. Therefore, I believe our ceremony was shortened due to the increased travel time to Sandy Beach. Regarding the ukulele music and the written songs, it appears that the songs we requested were not played. The music was being played when my wife was walking up the aisle and paused for the ceremony. While I do not believe it was a complete song, I understand that this was my wife's dream. Wedding expenses were not a concern for me, as I was determined to make this the most memorable experience for my wife. Regarding the limousine, it was not provided with any water, not even a bottle of champagne. I questioned Robert about this after the event, and he explained that due to instances of excessive alcohol consumption in the limousine, the vehicle had been damaged. I find it difficult to comprehend how someone could become intoxicated from a single bottle of champagne, especially considering that I had rented a limousine for my own wedding. This limousine was used to transport us to dinner, drop us off, and then pick us up again. It was equipped with a bottle of champagne for the journey to the venue and another bottle for the return trip. Additionally, the limousine had ample bottled water available. The limousine service, which Robert recommended, failed to provide any additional amenities beyond the standard fare. Despite the extra time charged for the extended duration, Robert has yet to contact me regarding the additional hour. While I had paid for the limousine, the photography quality was subpar. The photographs failed to capture the memorable moments of our special day, and my wife's dream of having beautiful pictures to display in our home remains unfulfilled. Robert has expressed his intention to rectify the situation, acknowledging the potential loss of 30% of his business due to negative reviews. However, I find it difficult to believe that a single negative review can justify such a drastic response. While I am not here to criticize others' choices, my primary concern is the irreplaceable moment we lost due to the poor photography. The photographs were indeed of poor quality, and I have shared three of them with you for your reference. If you are considering using Robert's services, I recommend seeking alternative photographers, preferably female, to ensure that the photographs reflect the quality of your wedding experience. While Robert is a kind and professional individual, the lack of professional photography at a reasonable price is a significant concern. In conclusion, despite the positive aspects of my wife's marriage, the poor quality of the photographs has overshadowed the overall experience. The absence of memorable images, except for a few taken by my daughter, has made it difficult to showcase the beauty of our wedding day. One last thing I don't know who all the other people are in reviews, but we did not get any beautiful pics like the website shows
