Before I continue this review, this is for her consultation ONLY, not any actual wedding ceremony that she preformed: A few months back ago me and my fiancé were still looking to book an officiant and came across I Do Hawaiian Weddings through WeddingWired. We booked the consultation with her over the phone, she was very friendly and professional, however it would have to be two weeks out from when we called (its always wedding season in Hawaii I'm sure, so we understood she was very busy.) However when the two weeks went by, and we showed up at her office June was no where to be found. Again, we thought she just might be running a little late so we continued to wait. Finally, about 15 minutes after our appointment was supposed to begin we decided to call her. She answered right away and was very forth coming about the fact that she had completely FORGOT about our appointment! She said that she was near by and would get over to her office ASAP. my inner monologue was screaming, red flag, red flag. When she finally arrived she was very sweet, sat us down in her office, but not before having a conversation with one of her colleagues about the various works she does with her church, which on top of weddings seemed to be quite a long list. Once her colleague left she finally had the time of day for us, and went straight into her sales pitch, and boy was she good. You could definitely tell she's been doing this or a while. When everything was said and done she said she would have one of her assistants e-mail us the price list. I'm still waiting for that e-mail to this very day. My husband and I got married by June Dilinger of I Do Hawaiian Weddings on Oct 30, 2012 in an intimate beach wedding on the magnificent shores & cliffs of Makapu'u Beach. We live in the suburbs of DC and had never been to Oahu before, so most of our wedding plans were made via research on the internet. It was just a mere few weeks before our wedding date, and although there is no shortage of companies that offer the service in Honolulu, picking someone to perform the most personal of ceremonies in our life was no small decision. Both my husband and I wanted to make sure we found someone that would have set the right kind of energy for our special intimate day. June and her website caught my eye, and we watched her video together before deciding to give her a call. From the first call, we felt very good about her. She was always available and happy to speak with us, and always so warm, thoughtful and helpful on any matter that we had, even when it didn't relate directly to the ceremony. In retrospect, June contributed quite a bit in making our wedding day so stress free. For our wedding, we wanted a simple, non denominational ceremony on the beach with just a few of our family members. June worked with us beforehand to make sure all the details were as we envisioned, sending us ahead of time the vows, checking if we wanted to customize it with our own words, and what she would be wearing. She took care of the beach permit for us with no hassle or paperwork whatsoever from our end, which meant a lot to us - my husband and I both hate paperwork! She also took care of coordinating the design of two flower bouquets with her vendor based on some ideas I had as well as the ordering my husband's wedding lei. When the time came and we arrived on Oahu, she checked in with us to make sure we arrived safely. The day before the wedding, we planned to do a day-before photo shoot so June asked us where my makeup artist's studio was, and then met us there to deliver the first bouquet. How sweet! Plus it was a nice way to meet her before the big day. On the day of the wedding, June personally drove the second bouquet to our hotel. Having performed ceremonies at Makapu'u Beach before, she was familiar with the site enough to know the best place to have the ceremony among the black lava rocks. The ceremony itself was everything I could've hoped.. June was very present and exuded positivity, sincerity and love. Those details seem small, for even for our super-tiny beach wedding, but in reality it went a long way in making the go by so smoothly. June has been amazing from beginning to end. We booked it last minute after we were turned down from another person. Our payment that we gave over the phone wasn't going through. May have been due to the fact that we now live in Vegas and our bank probably company flagged it but she offered to have us pay in cash the day of the wedding. After speaking to our bank, we were able to pay again the next day. She has a passion for what she does and you won't regret it! My husband and I were married at Magic Island and it was packed. Parking was hard to find and she was also patient when some of our guest had arrived 20 minutes late. My husband and I wanted to get married next year but because my brother is in the military and he'll be getting deployed at the end of the year and it was a perfect time since our whole family were actually here on the island. For my husband and me, 2013 is proving to be a very momentous year. In April, we welcomed our first child (baby boy) into this world. Then in September, we had the opportunity to travel to Honolulu, HI. While in HI we visited family and celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary by renewing our vows. The search for an officiant for a small destination event such as ours was nerve wracking! However, after reading all of the wonderful reviews on "I Do Hawaiian Weddings" I knew June and her team would be a great fit. June was prompt in responding to my questions via email and suggested a great location to safely accommodate our family who represented every age bracket and physical restriction from 5mos (w/stroller) to 78 yo (w/wheelchair). She also paired the perfect officiant, Rev. Gary, for our ceremony. As for the ceremony itself, Rev. Gary performed a traditional Hawaiian ceremony which included conch shell blowing, water ceremony, lei and ring blessing. Rev. Gary was very professional, warm and engaging. I was so nervous since we did not have a rehearsal, but everything went so smoothly! My husband's niece was in attendance and played our flower girl, not sure how or when we could include her in the ceremony, Rev. Gary found a way to include her in the ceremony. The best of all occurred while hubby and I were saying our vows. We stood very close to shore w/Diamond Head in the background and thought that the rain we felt was splashing from the ocean hitting the rocks from below. We finally stopped gazing into each others eyes long enough to realize there was a light rain shower which produced not just one but TWO beautiful Hawaiian rainbows! It brought us to tears!! We were truly blessed Hawaiian style! I Do Hawaiian Weddings may not have been behind the rainbows, but they sure did make the whole experience very memorable. Thank you I Do Hawaiian Weddings! My husband and I were planning on a wedding ceremony in Tahiti, but quickly realized that the paperwork to get married internationally is a nightmare. We had a 30 hour layover in Honolulu, so we wanted to only sign papers to seal the deal. Conveniently enough, June offers this service. She came to our hotel at 8am and we were expecting, and only really needed, papers to sign and that's it. Instead she made the whole thing SO special. She insisted on taking pictures to show our families, brought bubbles, gave us a page with a Hawaiian marriage blessing on it for us to keep as a memento, and was generally just incredibly warm and wonderful. We had honestly thought the document signing would be pretty emotionless and we were planning on saving all our excitement for Tahiti, but we ended up finishing up feeling like real newlyweds! This was 100% because of the way June took us through the process. Afterward, she emailed us a link to our temporary marriage certificate, along with a really kind message. I cannot recommend this place enough. If June made our 20-minute signing of papers feel so magical, I can't imagine how great she'd be to have for a whole ceremony. read more

My fiancé and I decided to have a destination wedding on Oahu at Kualoa Ranch in October, 2019. Luckily, We found June at I Do Hawaiian Weddings online. Though we were planning our wedding from Colorado, June made everything so simple for us. She gave us the ceremony of our dreams and also gave us tips for the rest of the wedding and for our stay in Hawaii. She gave us step by step instructions for acquiring our marriage license making it easy and stress free. We told her we wanted to give each guest a Lei and she made a cute Lei ceremony where each person puts a Lei on the person next to them with a kiss, or a honi honi. Her voice, her presence, and her ceremony was so calming. Calm was exactly what I needed on my wedding day. I feel truly grateful that I stumbled upon June for the most important day of our lives. June provided a beautiful vow renewal service for us in a location we never would have thought of on our own - Kawela Bay. My husband and I were hoping this vow renewal could help us overcome some glitches we experienced at our wedding five years earlier (e.g. I didn't have my carefully chosen bouquet of flowers when I walked down the aisle). Our experience with June far exceeded our expectations. June handled all the details including the coordination of getting my hair & makeup done, having the photographer there, and ensuring I had my beautiful bouquet of flowers. She also gracefully handled a sticky situation that unexpectedly popped up - the filming of a movie onsite (who would have thought?). We had our ceremony as planned in a secluded area just down the beach from them. And the sunset at Kawela Bay was stunning.
