I called on a Saturday and usually most places are extremely busy and booked for weeks out. The receptionist was able to schedule me today since there was an cancellation. I come in and the place is beautiful, clean and quiet. You can tell they take pride in their presentation and they had customers coming in and out which let me know people were pleased. Jessica was the one who did my facial, I decided to get the dermabrasion to help with some scarring and discoloration I was having. Jessica was extremely profesional and knowledgable about what was best for my skin. She took her time and actually made this session so relaxing that I actually went to sleep, LOL! It was so peaceful and the rooms are set up to make you feel rested and comfortable. The sessions are about an hour and you can instantly see the improvements. Like most places they try to sell you products but here that did not happen. Their honesty and professionalism will make me a recurring costumer. NO name stated of his, no normal phone etiquette before asking about appointments--he just immediately asked if I would be scheduling a BRAZILIAN. Practically threw up in my mouth, I was just immediately so uncomfortable and grossed out. Will be finding somewhere else to go to, expeditiously!! EDIT: Thank you for the additional information that wasn't known to me when I made the original comment. I've never had a bad experience at the business in the past, and I reacted in the immediate shock of the encounter. Over the years, TWB had become a space where I felt safe, particularly because my experiences there had always been with women. I've had traumatic experiences in the past that have led me to intentionally seek out women-only spaces whenever possible, which is why this interaction affected me so strongly. With the additional context, I recognize that my original characterization was stronger than warranted and understand now that the questions were part of the business's standard process. In hindsight, I think there was a misunderstanding on both sides of the encounter. I appreciate the clarification and have reconsidered my initial assessment, which is reflected in my updated review.

It's very frustrating because I'm going to school here so this was the only resort and this is how I'm being treated away from home it's just awful and I had to go to Denver just to get help with my nails because the owner who did my nails said she would help and would call back and NEVER called back. My finger was in pain and if this has happened to anyone else I'm sure you understand. All I wanted was help taking the acrylics off so my finger nails wouldn't fall off. I went into the shop last Wednesday looking for help and the other nail tech just brushed me off and gave me acetone to take home with me. All I was asking for was help to take my nails off and when I go into the shop it's like no one sees me walk in. I'm not greeted until after 5 min of standing there for a paying customer it's very upsetting because in Denver they would never. I highly don't recommend. Highly don't recommend!!!!

Her knowledge and skills of the hair type and growth cycles is key to permanent sucess. In the past I have had horrible experiences with discoloration and even scarring from others electrologists and laser techniques, only to have the hair grow back. I am so glad she moved from Malibu to P. West!
