In all my years of reviewing and traveling the globe this is the first time I have felt discriminated against. Date of Incident: Friday, Aug 1, 2025 around 12 pm. Here's what happened...... I walk in looking for a specific Cigar. The store clerk helping one male customer. So really it's just the three of us now in this tiny store. The clerk sees me and shoots me a dirty look. No problem. Maybe his dog is sick or something.... I don't know. I wait 5 min, 10 min, 15 min. No Hello. No I'll be right with you. Nothing. Not a single gesture of acknowledgement....of not only a customer but another human being that just happens to walk into your establishment. Bizarre. Going on 20 min now. I started to feel very uneasy and uncomfortable, as I was now being overtly ignored, and me being the Alpha-A type personality that I am....I wasn't just going leave and have someone ignore me like that. So.....I turned to the clerk who literally pretended I was a fly on the wall, and said...."If I could please get some service, I'm in a bit of a rush." He then with a pissed off reluctant look came my way. Even when he attended to me I felt this hostile energy from him I could not understand, and certainly was unfamiliar with, as I had never experienced anything like that. Ever. What was interesting was that the other customer felt bad for me, and apologized to me. It turned out I just had a question about a product and had to wait 20 min to ask it from a store clerk who pretended I was not there. Upon leaving the store there was only one thing that I was unsure of. Was it the fact that I was a Female or a person of colour that my business was not welcome? read more

We were in town from TX, but living in the PNW, and my husband wanted to get some Cubans while we were there. I didn't get the young man's name at the counter on Saturday night, but he was very helpful and so kind to our family. The shop is very clean, organized, and doesn't have that overwhelming cigar smell. It actually smelled pleasing. Back in TX they allow folks to smoke inside cigar shops. Don't know how laws apply in Canada. Don't forget when you visit Houston,TX. Head down to Pearland, TX @ Killeen BBQ for some dang good food! I just recently tried my first Cuban cigar in the Dominican Republic. I don't know too much about cigars but that didn't matter when coming here. Paul introduced me to some cuban cigars and made me feel like I came to the right place. He's really genuine and knows what he's talking about. Yes, this store caters to men. No, you don't have to be a cigar aficionado to venture into this place. I don't blame you for skipping this one when shopping at Yaletown. The official name, Revolucion Cigar and Fine Gifts, may be perceived a bit standoffish for the passer-by. But I don't smoke and I can assure you the "fine gifts" aspect is the reason to come see this place. The store from outside looks high end. Come peek inside and you'll feel there is warmth. The proprietor, Paulo, and his brother are accommodating. Tell them your there to look around and they will leave you alone. No pretentions here. Half of the store caters to cigars and cigar accessories, but so what if you don't smoke. They won't light one in your face. Afraid the store smells like cigar. Well, well you're in for a treat. The store has a nice ambient lighting. Not too bright, not too dark. It's well-ventilated. Really. No cigar scent that will stick on your skin or clothing. How come? While online I was looking for a Lampe Berger dealer and found them to be in the area of where I live. A couple blocks later, I'm at the store looking over the collection of lamps that will suit any taste and interior. Then I'm smelling the vials of Lampe Berger perfumes to decide what scent represents our place. A few shelves later you'll find yourself looking at Stewart/Stand stainless steel wallets. Say what? Yep, stainless steel wallet. Ouch. Not at all. They're soft like leather and tough like, err, stainless...steel. :X Check them out. They're even dealers of Sigg water bottles and accessories. There's really just too many brands and products to list and they just keep adding more every time I pass by. I think wifey has quietly banned me from going there because budget or no budget, I find myself itching to buy something even if it's just a refill fragrance for the lamp. Oh, and keep an eye out for products on discounts. It's not really advertised, but don't be afraid to ask if they happen to have anything on special. Can't find a gift idea for that special someone. Why everyone should shop at Revolucion: -It's pretty much the best place to find gifts for classy men -The owners are adorable, so friendly, charming and helpful (eye candy for the ladies, holler!!) -Great 'manscaping' products such straight razors, a men's skin care line, face brushes, etc.... things to make the man in your life lookin' good. -Cigars, fancy lighters, cigar cutting things, etc., I'm not up on cigar talk, but the stuff looks legit! Face it, dudes love this stuff. -Wine and martini accessories (saw a steel penguin shaped martini shaker... pretty darn awesome) -Unique room fragrances (in fancy but still masculine bottles) All in all... this place is a ten! This place is like a candy store for cool men, but as a gal, I can't get enough of it... there's so many neat things to gander at. As a lot of of the reviews mention, this place is not just cigars, they carry great gifts and skin care / shaving products for men. Mainly I go here for cigars, these guys know their stuff. They are super knowledgeable and will help with anything, example: my humidor wasn't holding proper humidity, they didn't give up helping me with the issue until it was fixed, and I didn't even buy it there. Walking by the shop it's not uncommon to see the owners sitting on a stool, smoking, and chatting to everyone walking by, as some of the friendliest shop owners in Yaletown, it's not a surprise that they know everyone. Feel like a GQ man or a very stylist woman. I love this store. Their cigar selection is just as good if not better than others in the city. They also have a ton of other items that make you feel like the most stylish person around just for walking in. From classic razors, shaving cream, to a ton of other items, this place has it all. But what I love about it is that the items are very...hard to explain, old fashioned? They are new but they are older designs which give it that classical feel. The staff are great, items are fantastic. Its a bit pricey but I am in Yaletown. What can I expect? And the prices are only a few dollars more and sometimes not at all different from the other Cigar stores. One Reviewer gave it a one star and said the cigar's were fake. Well I have a hard time believing this because there are regulations for all imports that need to be followed. And after meeting the owner, I know that if the Reviewer brought their issue with the staff, it would have been resolved. So I don't know why they did not contact the owner or staff because they are more than ready to resolve that matter. I mention this because when I see 5/5 stars from most Reviewers for a place then I see one star from a Reviewer, I am skeptical about that review. So I hope they resolve that situation because everyone has a great time at this store and I can't wait to go there again. Saving up for one of those old fashion razor blades. My son and I decided we'd like to build cigar box guitars, so I called Revolucion to see about acquiring a few nice cigar boxes. Paul, the proprietor, was immediately amenable to the idea, and began setting aside some of his nicest boxes for us. Some time later, he called stating he had a number of boxes ready for pickup. When we arrived, we were graced with a dozen solid wood boxes, for which he refused payment. I was so surprised and delighted that I picked out several lovely Romeo y Julietas in an attempt to repay his astonishing kindness. I understand this is a rather unconventional review of a cigar shop, but Paul's warmth & bonhomie fully warranted it. He is a true gentleman and I will certainly be returning there whenever I can and highly recommend it for those in need of a fine cigar and a grand experience! read more

Fantastic selection of fine gifts for men! If your stuck on a gift for buddy or family member hit this place up for great service and products. Oh, and I forgot to mention the wall of cigars! I got the Lamp Berger from my girlfriend as a grad present. The thing made my apartment smell amazing! Unfortunately, there was a defective part in the lamp. I took it back to the shop and the guys replaced the part no questions asked! The shaving equipment is second to none. No more paying 17$ for Schick and Gillette Products! One small investment on a double edge razor and I was on my way to a closer shave and saving money on blades. At the end of the day, it's one of my favorite shops in Vancouver. read more

I think this is the best gift shop for men, anywhere in Vancouver, plus fantastic selection of Cigars at any price point. I've been visiting Revolucion since they opened as it's on my way to work. The owners are some of the nicest guys you ever meet, they have very unique gifts, mostly for men, and their prices are also very reasonable for quality of products offered. I do not smoke, but can tell you that their Cigar selection is second to none, and I have purchased various cigars at different price points for my friends and family as gifts and never heard any complaints. I highly recommend this store, specially to all the wives, girlfriend, and sisters of Vancouver guys who have a hard time finding a men's gift store. Most times I've gone in this shop the guy behind the counter couldn't be bothered to get off the phone to acknowledge me or offer any help. I went in recently to buy a new Cigar torch and while there also picked up a new cutter. I showed my membership card from our local cigar club and thought this might alert the salesman that I could easily become a regular customer. When I asked him if he'd fill the lighter with fuel so I could use it right away he grudgingly filled it about 1/4 full. What he saved in lighter fuel he's lost on future sales as I won't be back. That's just bad customer service. The cutter has since turned out to be a piece of rubbish but I'm not going to try my luck at returning it without a receipt. I'm a big believer in brick and mortar stores but if that's the level of service Revolucion provides I'll continue to order my cigars online from the US. read more

This store brands itself as a store "for the man who has everything". Well they are wrong, It's a store for women too! I really enjoyed this store. Not only do they carry a wide variety of smoking accessories and cigars, they also have grooming items for men. Top it off with some very tasteful cuff links, watch winders, key chains, pens, wallets - check out their wallet which protects cards against RFID readers. If you are concerned about identity theft, get one of these wallets! Fun stuff: pictures, socks, cardboard stool, Ferrari hot wheels, poo-pourri to stop bathroom odors. Ferrari tote/man bags, ties. If there was an Oscar for best customer service and the sweetest smile the Lady that helped me today would get my vote. I have been a fan for more than 4 years! Until I found out they sold me some fake cigars! The thing is, these fakes that I bought, they are not hard to spot if you are an expert at cigars. So they must have known that they were selling me fakes, so they were not fooled themselves when they got these. I smoke cigars, but I am no expert. In case your wondering, I bought a Cohiba 2004 Limited Edition...PIRAMIDES!! I found out there was never a release of such LEs! Beware, do not trust these guys. Sure, they are friendly and what not. I am really disappointed, I really am I thought they were one of the few trustworthy cigar shops in Vancouver. Never will I ever go there again. They expensive too! read more

This place is great. I've been coming here for about 4 years and I always stop in when I am in Yaletown. Not only does it have an unreal selection of cuban cigars, but they have so much more! I litterally just bought all my christmas presents there. From high end shaving products, to a great collection of Lampe Berger products.
