I drove over there, and after getting a bit turned around in the Public Market, found it was only a convenience store with about 10 cigar options. Don't get me wrong, this was better than you can expect many other cigarette shops, but tobacco is not their main business; magazine sales, chewing gum, keychains and e-cigarettes are. Additionally, the cigars were not competitively priced, as I guessed when entering the Granville Island Public Market. The cheapest cigars were $13, and up to about $35. Feeling let down, I drove to the one I should have gone to in the first place, the Cigar Emporium on 4th/6th. This place had a huge selection, exceptionally knowledgable staff, and a lounging area where you can enjoy your cigar, the complete opposite to what I found on Granville Island.

They have a little bit of pipe tobacco and no pipes. Except just a few of the glass ones, but this is not a head shop by any means. Now, all that said, this is a charming little shop with mostly cigars and a magnificent proprietor and regular clientele. I ended up being offered a coffee and some great conversation. These small local shops are hidden gems. I didn't spend a dime but got incredible value. I hope this review will send them some customers for their fine selection of cigars.

In all my years of reviewing and traveling the globe this is the first time I have felt…read morediscriminated against. Date of Incident: Friday, Aug 1, 2025 around 12 pm. Here's what happened...... I walk in looking for a specific Cigar. The store clerk helping one male customer. So really it's just the three of us now in this tiny store. The clerk sees me and shoots me a dirty look. No problem. Maybe his dog is sick or something.... I don't know. I wait 5 min, 10 min, 15 min. No Hello. No I'll be right with you. Nothing. Not a single gesture of acknowledgement....of not only a customer but another human being that just happens to walk into your establishment. Bizarre. Going on 20 min now. I started to feel very uneasy and uncomfortable, as I was now being overtly ignored, and me being the Alpha-A type personality that I am....I wasn't just going leave and have someone ignore me like that. So.....I turned to the clerk who literally pretended I was a fly on the wall, and said...."If I could please get some service, I'm in a bit of a rush." He then with a pissed off reluctant look came my way. Even when he attended to me I felt this hostile energy from him I could not understand, and certainly was unfamiliar with, as I had never experienced anything like that. Ever. What was interesting was that the other customer felt bad for me, and apologized to me. It turned out I just had a question about a product and had to wait 20 min to ask it from a store clerk who pretended I was not there. Upon leaving the store there was only one thing that I was unsure of. Was it the fact that I was a Female or a person of colour that my business was not welcome?

Been shopping here for years until today…read more... Woman rushed the sale and sold me the wrong product, didn't even get to my vehicle and I started reading the box and noticed it's not even remotely what I had went in and asked for, so I walked back in and asked her nicely if she could exchange it or even give store credit because SHE just sold me the wrong item... She just smiles and says no, when I literally wasn't even out the door longer than 3-4 minutes. Crazy how an employees incompetence to know the products they're selling ends up being your fault. Anyway won't burn me again, if you're looking for quality product and customer service to match seriously do yourself a favour and shop anywhere but here.

It will not charge or sync on any device. When I brought it back, the store refused both a refund and an exchange, even though the product was clearly defective straight out of the package. This is a basic consumer issue, not a change of mind. Be very careful buying things here, because if it does not work, you may be stuck with it.
