This place is the BEST! Such great service and Shay is such a sweet heart, can't wait to go back.

Shay is seriously the best. Ever. I started going to Shay a few months ago when I was tired of maintaining everything down there myself (or mostly too lazy to keep up on it), and I'm so glad I did! She's completely reasonably priced, and if you keep up on it and go back every four weeks (which you should anyway regardless) you get the repeat customer discount of $40 for a full brazilian rather than $50. Shay gave me my first wax ever, and I had no idea what to expect. She was super sweet and explained everything to me, and told me when the most painful parts were over (which they weren't even that bad compared to what I was expecting). The room is great. She gives you numbing spray that you can use, and she always offers me wine, water, and/or cookies! I've never gone anywhere else in San Francisco, so I can't compare it, but I hope I never have to. read more

Got chest and back waxed with speed and care. Was given very good aftercare instructions that helped me not breakout as that had been a problem for me with past experiences elsewhere. Fantastic spray tan! If you want a natural bronzed look, this is a great place to go. Taylor carefully applies an aloe-based solution to give you a golden glow - and has you walking out of the salon looking like a Greek goddess (not an oompa loompa). Hands down best waxing experience I've ever had. Getting your hooha and underarms waxed isn't much fun, but this was definitely a pleasant experience. The atmosphere is totally chill, I felt comfortable throughout my entire appointment. Shay is very thorough, doesn't miss a spot, yet she works super fast. Though this wasn't my first time around the block, this was my first time at her shop. So I really appreciated that she checked in with me on the different kinds of waxes I've had experience with and communicated throughout the entire session. I've been going to Rewaxation for waxing for almost 2 years now. I first saw Shay, who made a wonderful impression. She's incredibly professional and does a great job. Since, I've seen numerous members of her team, all who have been so well trained and are always really friendly. Yesterday I even tried sugaring for the first time - great for sensitive skin! I'm looking forward to seeing how regrowth goes and may switch to that instead. Regardless, all services are so reasonably priced and the atmosphere is comfortably laid back. I can't believe I haven't reviewed Rewaxation already! I've been going here for the last two years and it's great. I've tried other places that are slightly closer to where I live and I must say Rewaxation is much, much better. For one, they offer both sugaring and waxing and two, it is not very painful! Depends on who you get. The first time I came here I had a great brow wax with someone really personable. The second time I came here the girl doing my brows was condescending and the work was mediocre. She also kept trying to push me to get a lip and face wax even though I repeatedly told her I'm not interested because my skin reacts poorly in those areas. I keep my face well maintained so it was kind of offensive that she just wouldn't back off. read more

You always hear horror stories and how painful it is especially the first time but Cynthia makes you feel INCREDIBLY comfortable and answers all of your questions so you feel at ease during the whole process. She also makes sure to fill you in on proper care between visits. Great service, talking to Cynthia is like talking to an old friend and she's always playing great music which is always a plus. It's the oddest place to find the best wax artist ever. She uses hard wax, even when using musiin strips in hard to grab areas as tags to help pull the wax, she still uses hard wax to do it, with a tiny tab of cloth to ease any discomfort you might have while she pulls a corner up. Her demeanor is lovely, she plays great music, and it's like your chill-ass friend from your hometown you've known forever is just doing your nails. Seriously comfortable. Technique is flawless so waxing doesn't hurt any more than it has to. I mean, come on, it really doesn't need to hurt more than it minimally has to, right? She even has a numbing spray you can self (generously) apply beforehand if you like. GO. read more

Got my brows and lip waxed here last week before my wedding in big sur. She did a great job with getting all the hair and the shape of my brows but apparently (I didn't realize it at the time) she ripped the skin off both areas. 48 hours later I still had big red marks. I thought it was a reaction but my makeup artist said it was because the wax was too hot. Since there was no skin the airbrush makeup she used would not stick to the skin in either of those spots very well. It was noticeable up close but hopefully it won't be too bad in pics. Overall the price of this place and service was great and the lady who waxed me was very nice. Maybe I just had a fluke incident. read more
