They got rid of the goal horn and replaced it with a fake audio recording of the Chicago Blackhawks that sounds horrible. They got rid of both inflatable nitros. They have a new entrance board that you can only see from a quarter of the arena. It just doesn't feel the same as it did at the coliseum. Just go watch some clips of fuel games at the coliseum and you'll be jealous it's gone. The best part is when you get to leave. I live in fishers too and I would rather drive the extra 25 minutes to the fairgrounds. Good job hallets. A stunning job per usual.

They were cold and I couldn't even eat them. My husband has a stomach of steel so he ate them. 3. The pretzels should only be eaten at the beginning of the game. If they've been in there too long they are hard and stale. The cheese for them taste funny to me so I just use mustard. 4. The corndogs/hotdogs were really good! I was surprised they were so hot I had to let mine cool off. Hope this helps. If you go 317 night there are great specials. I highly recommend that. It's $3 beer, $1 popcorn and $7 craft beer/shirts. These games are a great time!

Who would have thought, years ago, we'd have an Air Race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway? And…read morenow IMS is saying Yes, Again in 2017! We'll be there!! I love seeing more and more events at IMS and utilizing the grounds as often as possible. Kudos to Red Bull Air Racing Team and IMS for your foresight. Watching the Red Bull Air Race Championship Series LIVE was AMAZING. Pilots fly through a predefined racetrack of Air Gates at 140 + kts. What are Air Gates? Air Gates are inflatable pylons typically in pairs and MUST be flown through horizontally with the exception of the Chicanes. Chicanes are a series of single pylons positioned in a line and must be navigated in a slalom style. The total length of each racetrack is 3.7 miles and the Pilots must maneuver twice. Flying individually for the quickest speed at the correct speed, height, level and smoke on from start to finish in between Air Gates and then slalom style, and not hitting a Pylon was often a nail biter. We observed the maintenance crew repair deflated pylons, hit by the planes, in less than 90 seconds. Imagine how fast and impressive that is remedying a race delay. Between the Challenger and Master Class races IMS scheduled several Fan Activities for all ages. The Paraglider Jump, Airplane Aerobatic Stunts, and Helicopter Stunts, thrilled and terrified many. The Moto & Bike Trials Performances had a following of their own and the Slackline Performances baffled many watching a man performing gymnastics moves on what appeared to be a large rubber band. A few suggestions for improvements at next race would be 1) traffic control on race day so folks get in sooner, 2) open gates earlier than an hour before events begin, 3) more food vendors to shorten lines and not run out of certain foods, 4) bring larger quantities of gift shop Red Bull Air Race Gear and 5) move starting ceremonies in Front of the Race Fans instead of Pagoda forcing us to watch on Video Screen. Otherwise, phenomenal first time event and our entire group are ready to purchase 2017 Air Race tickets. IMO, hats off again to Red Bull and IMS for the informational book distributed Saturday at the gate which was the game changer for the unfamiliar Air Race fans. The book covered the Weekend Schedule, the IMS Site Map, the Race format, the Race Rules, the Race Course, the Anatomy of a Race Plane and Bio's on all of the Pilots. Everyone had their noses buried off and on in this small, quick study, well formatted book. We learned together, followed the video boards and announcers, and with each race improved greatly. Because we had this reference material at our fingertips it truly shortens the learning curve for over 40,000 fans. By the Master Class Final 4 Race most understood and recognized the rules and penalties and were rooting for our favorite Pilots. See you next year!

The Fieldhouse was packed with fans and the excitement was contagious. I was thrilled to see women's sports at the same level as men's. The team has come a long way. The Fever has gained national fame with the addition of Caitlin Clark. While Caitlin didn't play during the game that I attended due to injury, she was engaging the crowd like a champ from the bench. We got to our seats early and Caitlin was signing autographs and talking to kids. It was fun to watch. The team played together incredibly well, hitting many three point shots. These athletes are great role models for young people. The team had even drawn in Hollywood celebrity fans and nationally renowned authors. I felt like I was part of history being made. So the tickets and parking are expensive. We had pretty good seats and it was worth seeing the players up close. The communications from the ticket office were excellent. I received notices regarding gate procedures and even what colors to wear! I highly recommend attending a game (or several) and supporting the Fever.

Even though we lost and Caitlin did not play, I had a good time watching my favorite player Lexi Hull. We sat in Section 1, Row 1, which were great seats very near the Fever bench. Even though we sat off to one side of behind the goal post it was not a hinderance. We were really close to the action and could view the action from a really unique viewpoint. I would buy season tickets there if they were available. We all liked the games played during the TV timeouts. I felt that the announcer person could have explained more about the coach's challenges instead of just announcing the outcome. The restrooms are easy to get to and located throughout the facility. Concession offerings are alcohol as well as bottled water and soft drinks. They do remove the plastic tops from all bottles after purchase so if purchasing several you may want help carrying them back to your seats to prevent any spills. Guest services staff were friendly and helpful. If you have someone drop you off and pick you up, that can be tricky. The police tend to block one street off temporarily and then open it and block off another. So if you can walk and meet your pickup several blocks away, that would be your best bet.

I try to make it to a couple of games each season. As with most teams, they have great years and not so great years. This season several star players are injured. Their record has been disappointing, but I still love them. Last night, we went with our granddaughters for family night. There were some great giveaways to celebrate the night including hats, hot dogs and towels to wave. We saw great performances at half time and during timeouts. The seats were reasonably priced and we could see the game easily. The Pacers league knows how to make the evening fun! The kids followed the game and stayed excited. As for the team, they came out strong in the first quarter, but lost the game. The team was fun to watch, nevertheless. We are lucky to live in a city with a pro team that is accessible and affordable for families. I love my Pacers.

They opened their entire shop for the public to view but the day was all about our Veterans and The Indy Honor Flight. Many Veterans, their families and volunteers were onsite for us to meet as well. Today's entrance donations from the Open House goes directly to the Indy Honor Flight which is such a worthy cause. The mission at Indy Honor Flight is to bring our WWII, Korea, and Vietnam Veterans to Washington, D.C., at no cost to them, for a tour of honor. Each veteran is paired with a guardian/companion who is asked to make a donation to cover his/her own expenses and assist the veteran. We've had a friend take one of the Honor Flights and been told it's an experience they'll never forget. I know for us we'll never forget greeting a returning flight. It was a very emotional experience for all involved. If you'd like additional information checkout their website at: www.indyhonorflight.org. We really enjoyed touring the Ganassi shop. The staff was friendly and we were able to tour their large facility. A very impressive collection of trophies and race cars greeted us as we entered the lobby. Even a Lego car, approximately 4' x 2 ', was on display which kids and adults alike enjoyed. The entire building is truly immaculate and very impressive with extensive storage, labeling and everything had a place. The transporter, the car from 24 hrs. of Daytona, protypes, cars from past seasons, chassis's to wheel guns were available for all to view. One of my favorite experiences today was meeting Dixie, the praying dog and her owner. Dixie is the official therapy dog for the Indy Honor Flight. She travels around the midwest bringing joy and comfort to veterans, folks in nursing homes and children. Dixie also helps her owner with shed dog and deer demos across the midwest at outdoor expos. She is a beautiful and busy dog who brought joy to many people today that had the opportunity to meet her and her owner. Thanks to Ganassi Racing for sponsoring such a wonderful event benefiting our amazing Veterans. Donations are always appreciated year round for the Indy Honor Flight.
